View Full Version : "WrestleMania 21" Prediction Thread

The Penguin
04-01-2005, 08:06 PM
The Penguin is not here today so I, Commodore Schmidlapp of the famous Big Ben's Distilleries, will be posting this year's WrestleMania Predictions. All predictions cannot be made or edited after WrestleMania 21's early special early start time of 7 p.m. EDT on Sunday, April 3.

WrestleMania 21 has 8 scheduled matches (that's it?), so everyone's total will be out of 8. If you refuse to pick on principle, Kippy has no clue who you want, or you just plain miss it, you will get it wrong. For example, if you don't pick a winner in the Sumo Match because you're upset WWE filled a WrestleMania spot with someone who is not a WWE Superstar, you will get it wrong. Make sense? That's Hollywood.

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

*There will be no predictions for Piper's Pit with Rowdy Roddy Piper and Stone Cold Steve Austin because it is not a match.

Please remember this thread encompasses anything to do with predictions. Should you feel the need to tally up your score, "challenge" people, or tell the story of the "match for the championship" that is going to fit in here, not the talkback thread for the event which will of course be posted Sunday.

1. It's a lock that BATISTA will win the World title. I see no reason why HHH will win. It's Batista's time to shine. And I wouldn't be surprised if Ric Flair interferes on behalf of Batista.

2. Despite his personal troubles as of late, I'm picking EDGE to win the Ladder match. I really like his gimmick of wanting the title, and he does well in ladder matches.

3. Even though Trish Stratus is a great champion, I'm (regrettably) picking CHRISTY to win the Women's Championship. I bet if she wins, Victoria will turn heel and feud with the feisty red-head.

4. This was a tough one to call. JBL has been a great champion on the mic as of late. However, I'll pick CENA. It's about time someone new becomes Champ.

5. Who cares?? But I'll pick AKEBANO. No one speaks about this match afterwards.

6. I'll go with EDDIE. No one turns heel, though.

7. Well, Orton is pretty tough. But I'll go with the DEAD MAN. His streak remains perfect. Plus, Orton is supposed to be getting surgery after Mania, so it's pretty obvious who's the victor.

8. Another tough one to call. I'll go with ANGLE. This should be Match of the Year. After that, Angle feuds with the Doctor of Thuganomics.

And Austin stuns Piper, Hogan beats up Hassan.

Here goes

Batista

It's time for Triple H to let go.......again

Edge

I want to pick Kane but Edge seems like a lock

Christy

With the possibility of her losing and Lita turnng heel i'm still picking her just because I want to see Trish get her ass kicked

Cena

It's time for a new champ and if I have to hear JBL call himself a "Wrestling God." one more time i'm gonna crack someone's skull

Show

Am I the only one who's remotely interested in this match?

Mysterio

On the grounds thatr he's due for a push after this. No heel turn from Eddie.....yet

Undertaker

Taker should keep his streak but if Orton wins I wont be suprised

Michaels

Match of the Night right here, maybe Match of The Year

Now on to another card

If HHH manages to win this one, RAW has gone to hell!

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Winner: Edge
I have a feeling that Edge is starting to climb up to challenge the title yet again.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Winner: Trish Stratus
I can't stand a chick with no skills being a champ at all.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Winner: JBL
I just don't like Cena anymore. I liked him better as a heel! Plus, I like the whole JBL gimmick too. He's like the HHH for SmackDown!

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Winner: Big Show
Really!? Do you really expect a fat guy to beat a guy much taller and with more muscle?

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Winner: Eddie Guerreo
Duh! Eddie Guerreo turns heel here!

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Winner: The Undertaker
Randy Orton is just another victum for the Dead Man. 13-0!

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Winner: Shawn Michales
Ooooooooo! Tough call. Good match though with two great superstars. I can't really say how it will turn out.

Theres rumor a 30 man battle royal might be taken place at WrestleMania 21 featuring 15 from RAW and 15 from SmackDown! The winner of the match hasn't been determined what he'll be getting. But I think it would be a great addition to the events card for the 4 hours.

I actually dragged my worthless carcass down to the cable company to pick up the equipment to order WM21. It's the first PPV I've gotten since Rock v. Austin at WrestleMania (I think) 17. This better not disappoint

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Batista

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Going against logic, but I'm gonna pick Christian

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Christy, unfortunately.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Cena, unfortunately.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Big Show. Can't have a guy who'll never be seen again come in and beat one of WWE's top guys. Right?

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Coin came up heads, so I'll go with Eddie.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Undertaker. Please.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Another coin flip for MOTY candidate, and I'll go with Angle. He's more probable for a title run on SD than HBK is on Raw.

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
I would have to go with Benoit on this because he will do almost anything to get another shot at the champ.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
I hope Trish win this, even know I despies her in everyway slut.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
John Cena hands down.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebo
Big Show of course

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
I hope Eddie wins this one.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
I hope Randy Orton can beat The Undertaker
so, I have to go with Orton, anything possbile right.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
I'm going with Shawn Michales, he's a way better Wrestler than Kurt Angle.

Memphis Bleek

Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Winner: Trish Stratus
I like Stratus in this match.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Winner: John Cena
The time is now, and WWE will give Cena a monster push.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Winner: Akebono
Big Show will turn heel.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Winner: Eddie Guerrero
Eddie has been hanging around the mid-card too long.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Winner: The Undertaker
The dead man can't live off his mystique forever without winning.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Winner: Shawn Michaels

Batista
JBL(I really hope JBL wins this one, and I can't believe I just said that.)
Edge in the money in the bank match.(Though I'd love to see Christian finally get his due)
Trish(I really hope Trish wins this match. Give the Women's division a little dignity, please)
Kurt Angle will beat HBK in the match of the night.
Eddie over Rey Rey.
If Randy Orton beats the Undertaker, I will believe something is very wrong with this company.
Akebono over the Big Show, even though everyone will be at the concession stand.

And I could write out the Piper's Pit segment almost verbatim. Piper and Austin argue over who's "The Most Controversial WWE Superstar of All Time", lots of stupid fans say "What?" Piper gets stunned.

Also, Hulk Hogan beats up Muhammad Hassan for no good reason.

Freedom Fighter

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Batista. Everything is definitely in his corner.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Edge. Most wide-open match because it's unpredictable, but Edge has gotten a whole lot more screen time than the others... so I pick him.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Trish Stratus. I think Christy has done enough to prove she can hold her own and make the match competitive. Hot and popular aside, though, she has failed to prove to me she can actually win it OR be a believable champ.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
John Cena. I hope JBL's still an SOB of a heel after this... I love to hate his guts.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Akebono. Only cause he's the guest. Oh, and this match is a joke.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Eddie Guerrero. He's got the fuel and the fire. As for a possible break-up of the partners post-Wrestlemania... I don't think it'll happen any time soon.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Undertaker. Not for his reputation... more for just to see Orton get buried!

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle. Very, very tough call, but I think Angle's more likely to do anything to win as opposed to HBK.

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

Gotta go with Batista. The monster is the strongest #1 contender to date, and I think HHH time is finally due.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

I don't see Shelton Benjamin winning this match as long as he has the Intercontinental Title. Benjamin would probably win this match if the IC Title was also up for guards. I think it comes down to either Kane or Edge in this match, and I just think Kane vs. Batistya would be a better match-up, so I'm going with Kane.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

Well, Christy Hemme is in her first match-up for singles competition, and even with Lita's help, Trish will still manage to prevail. Besides, at least 1 title won't change hands this night, and I think this will be the one.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena

JBL has had way too much time as the WWE Champion, but Cena does have a lot of pent up anger, so I think JBL will win this match-up via disqualification, but Cena will beat the crap out of JBL. Expect JBL to lose his title at the next PPV though.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

In probably the least anticipated match-up, it's Big Show vs. Akebono. Akebono will win this match-up for the sole reason that they want to keep the japanesse fans watching the WWE.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio was basically invenicible before he teamed up with Eddie Gurrero, but he's adopted a few too many Eddie traits as of late. I think Eddie wins as Rey is finally caught cheating his way to victory.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton

The Undertaker is undefeated at Wrestlemania for a reason. Sure, Legend vs. Legend Killer is a nice change of pace, and Orton will probably give Undertaker the hardest challenge of any Wrestlemania, but the dead man will come out walking getting revenge on not only Randy Orton, but also getting some retributuion on Bob and his interference as well.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

Kurt has been the big man on campus before these events, so he will lose to HBK. Sure, HBK will probably get slamed by Angle a few times, but Sweet Chin Music will prevail in the long run.

As for Piper's Pit, expect Piper to get a few good jokes in on Austin, but Austin will prevail with a Stone Cold Stunner.

Punisher

World Heavyweight Championship
Winner: Batista
Why? Because Batista is the best #1 contender I've seen in years, and HHH is bound to lose.

Money In the Bank Ladder Match
Winner: Edge
Why? As much as I would love Benoit to win, Edge has a nice act going for him so this will only boost his chances.

Women's Championship Match
Winner: Trish
Why? Trish has had the title for a long time, but I don't see her losing to the poor excuse of a wrestler of Christy. It can't happen.

WWE Championship
Winner: John Cena
Why? Cena has got to win a title some time, and I think this is it. JBl has had that belt for a looonnng time. He needs to lose it, and Cena can beat him.

Sumo Match
Winner: Big Show
Why? is is really a waste of a match since one of the participants is a no name.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio
Winner: Rey
Why? Rey's got all the high flying moves, though Eddie will put up a fight.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
Winner: Taker
Why? He's undefeated at Wrestlemania, and he will stay that way.

Shawn Micheals vs. Kurt Angle
Winner: Kurt Angle
Why? This match could go either way, but Kurt will win because he is simply better.

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

why you ask? This match is so anticipated. Batista has just built up an incredible amount of momentun, and it'd be such a shame to see him lose.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

Mainly because he entertains me the most. I'd like to see him in the most just because he's good for plots.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

Trish: Wrestler
Christy: Diva

Christy is NOT meant to fight. She's meant for Playboy shoots. Trish is born to kick ass.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena

Cause I'm so sick of JBL.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

Big show should not beat a legend, it'd just be saying WWE IS INVINCIBLE!

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio

Cause he's got the moves. Nuff said.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
He's my favorite. I know he'll lose, but he has my fait.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

I just hope.
I can't wait.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

Winner: Trish Stratus

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

Winner: Who cares!

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Winner: This will give the Micheals/Angle match a run for its money as match of the year. I have to go with everyone else and say Rey Mysterio.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

Winner: Chris Jericho. It's been almost three years since Jericho has held the World title and he's due. But he don't win it'll be Edge.

Shawn Micheals vs. Kurt Angle

Winner: I don't know. All I know is well are in for a special treat seeing this two future Hall of Famers go at it at the granddaddy of them all.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton

Winner: Randy Orton. I don't think he should win, but somehow I think history will be made.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Winner: John Cena. I'm tired of JBL

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

Winner: Triple H. Here's what I think will happen. I think Triple H will win then if Jericho wins the Ladder Match he will come out and challenge him right then and there, and then we have a new World Heavyweight Champion. Chris Jericho.

That's just me.

JShaggy

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Batista will win.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Y2J will win.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Christy Hemme will win.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
John Cena will win. JBL has held the title long enough.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Akebono will win.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Eddie Guerrero will win, but there's something fishy about this match.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Undertaker will win, making him 13-0 at WrestleMania.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle will try to screw HBK for the victory, but I see Shawn Michaels winning this one.

PaQ
04-03-2005, 04:58 AM
World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Winner: Batista - HHH has held the belt long enough, and it was stupid to take it away from Orton after just a month.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Winner: Jericho - I'm going with my heart on this one. It's been way too long since Y2J has been champ, I'd at least like to see him get a fued going. And he's great on the mic, which is good against someone who's still a bit green in that area ( Batista).

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Winner: Trish - Maybe Lita will turn on Christy or something. I just can't see Christy defending that belt right now, maybe in a year.. but not now. She got her time in the light to coincide with her centerfold.. now it's done.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Winner: Cena - Word life! JBL has held the belt long enough, Cena wins by default, they probably should've given him the title around Survivor Series to be honest.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Winner: Akebono - I can't see him agreeing to this and not coming out on top. Especially since he's not sticking around and it's a sumo match. Nice respect thing after the match I bet.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Winner: Rey Mysterio - I think a run-in here is inevitable. who does it I don't know, but I could see something, I think Rey is due.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Winner: Randy Orton - RKO! Orton will defeat the Legend, only to get buried after the match.. Don't make Taker mad. :p

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Winner: Kurt Angle - Woooo! Really, Smackdown needs to win one of these, and Kurt will do something devilish.. Maybe a Marty Jannity heel turn?!

Kippy
04-03-2005, 05:34 AM
World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

WINNER: BATISTA. I honestly think this one could go either way, but I hope they make the decision to put the belt on Batista. The fans are really behind him right now and the storyline leading up to this match has been great. He needs to defeat Triple H tonight, win the rematch cleanly at Backlash, and then move on to face another heel.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

WINNER: EDGE. This is the match I am most looking forward to on the RAW side of the card. There is a tremendous amount of talent in this match, so the only thing that can really hold it back is the amount of time it's given. A good case could be made for a couple of men here, but I think Edge is the best choice. RAW could really use another strong heel.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

WINNER: TRISH STRATUS. There's absolutely no reason to put the belt on Christy. She clearly can't wrestle and the extra attention she received from her Playboy issue is now just about gone. Trish needs to squash Christy to bring some dignity back to the Women's Championship.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena

WINNER: JOHN CENA. More so than any other man on the card, Cena seems like a lock to win his match. I would be greatly surprised if JBL was able to retain the championship. The match these two put on definitely won't be a technical masterpiece, but the Era of Thuganomics should begin tonight.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

WINNER: AKEBONO. This is a tough one to predict since neither man will really gain anything with a victory. I'm going to go with Akebono since it's his style of match with Big Show saving face by performing a chokeslam after the match.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio

WINNER: EDDIE GUERRERO. This is definitely a tough match to predict. Eddie's small smirk when he hugged Mysterio on this week's SmackDown! leads me to believe that some storyline will result from this match. I'd like to see Mysterio win, but I'm going to have to go with Latino Heat.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton

WINNER: THE UNDERTAKER. Orton could definitely benefit from a win over The Undertaker, but I just don't think it's going to happen. I don't think The Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak is going to end until he retires, which sadly is still probably at least another year away.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

WINNER: SHAWN MICHAELS. Without a doubt, this is the toughest match to predict. A good case could be made for either Michaels or Angle. I'm going to say that HBK will get his revenge tonight, but I will not be upset if I'm wrong. This should be a fantastic match and I will be marking out for the moonsault(s).

Boy Wonder
04-03-2005, 09:36 AM
World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista (Well, two things are going to happen: 1. Batista wins, everyone is happy. 2. HHH hits Batista with the sledge, that equals pedigree, finish right there. HOLD THE PHONE! The guy who won the "Money in the Bank" match comes out, demands his shot right there, and beats the champ in less than 5 minutes to take the belt. I count on #1, but #2 is oh so a possibility.)

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge (The only guy who has credibility to win is JERICHO. Edge can't win, BS back stage with Hardy, Christian, and Kane are both mid-carders, Shelton is alreadsy a belt holder, and Benoit, don't get me started.)

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita (Trish in a squash, they built up Christy too strong)
WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena (Well, JBL has had 9 long months, give it to Cena so we know what 1995 is like again)

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono (Show obviously in a 2 or 3 minute match)

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio (Eddie seems like he will win the match here)

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker (He will win. and become 13-0) vs. Randy Orton

Shawn Michaels (HBK will win on Sunday, it is inevitable) vs. Kurt Angle

.
Well, this is the last of the PPV's bought for the year for me. This looks like a decent card noneoftheless, but the last two years, the PPV's were disappointing. The champ matches look to be like real crap this year unless they add some sort of stipulation on Heat or something. Don't forget the 30-Man Battle Royal kids.

One more message: McDougal, you're ass is mine! Don't forget, don't look like JBL and Kurt Angle before the Rumble, please!

Don't forget the 30-Man Battle Royal kids.
Here's some news regarding the 30-man battle royal from Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch:

"At WrestleMania, there will be a 30-man Battle Royale featuring 15 superstars from Smackdown and 15 superstars from Raw. However, the match will not be televised on Sunday Night Heat prior to WrestleMania, or on the WrestleMania 21 PPV show itself. The Battle Royale will be filmed and included strictly in the WrestleMania 21 DVD, which will be released in the months following WrestleMania."

Now I understand why no word of this has been on TV, but at least they should mention something regarding it on RAW tomorrow. Just in case, there's a important stipulation. I understand them wanting to get everyone on the card, but this does sound a lttle lame, for 30 wrestlers to wrestle with nothing at stake.

Guess my little rant would've been better suited for the actual Mania talkback. Sorry if I got carried away.

I really wish I could get WrestleMania. Darn. Oh well. I'll just buy the DVD.

Batista - Even if I can't watch it, I'm seriously looking forward to this match. He has to win because he's sexy cool :p.
Edge - Even if I don't like him, I'll pick over all the others. Well maybe except for Christian. I hope he wins even if I am picking Edge
Trish - If they have a good head on their shoulders, they will not let Christy win. She did better than I thought she would but she still sucks. Go Trish. Kick her ass!
Cena - Go Cena! Win! Kick JBL's butt! Please?
Big Show - Never talk of this again.
Eddie - I hope no one turns heel. Especially Rey Rey. You could not take him seriously.
Undertaker - This was hard but I heard Randy's going for surgery and well I'm going with the Dead Man.
Angle - Went with the like factor on here. Both seemed to have the upper hand at times with this fued so it was hard to choose. Go Kurt!

I have a sinking feeling that I'll get a crappy prediction rate.

Ok Let me just start by saying something about the 8 matches at this year Wrestlemania. Ok first of all i am glad there are only 8 matches and I will tell you why. Wrestlemania likes to stack the card the past few years and just because of that the matches that look to turn out great doesn't get the match time it really deserves. Now that there is only 8 matches I am confident that the matches on this card will get the match time it deserves. Now lets get to my Predictions

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista

Well this is a hard. One way wants to go HHH way because he is a great heel no matter what but another way is saying HHH has had the title so long it's time for a chance. I like the way they built up this match i mean they didn't really rush it like they did with Randy Orton's push. I mean they really took their time pushing Batista. I remember back in the chat rooms we were predicting when Batista would finally turn on HHH it took awhile and I am glad it finally happend. So the question is who do I go with here? Well I guess I have to pick one guy and his name is the Animal Batista.

Winner and New Heavyweight Champion Batista

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
Winner gets a Heavyweight Title shot anytime they want in the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge

Now this is a match of the night type quality. I like Ladder matches and Wrestlemania is not Wrestlemania without them. I mean we had the Introduction of a Ladder match 11 years ago when HBK took on Razor Ramon for the IC championship. Well this is going to be another goody but who is going to win you ask? Tough to call In my heart I want jericho to win the guy deserves it and I feel sorry for him being held down by HHH after he beat Jericho.

Winner- Chris Jericho

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita

Oh brother I really hope they don't give Christy Hemme the title here. I mean she just came into the federation a few months ago had 2 matches I think and already has a title shot? Please don't let this match go over 10 minutes it doesn't deserve it.

Winner Trish Stratus
WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena

Well lets see here I keep on thinking that one of the heels in the heavyweight title situation is going to win. However there is that nagging feeling that since JBL has had the title 9 whole months he is due to drop it. I just hope John Cena gets over better than Randy Orton did

Winner-John Cena

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono

This and the womans match is the only 2 weak matches on the card in my opinion. This match is pathetic why couldn't they add Orlando Brown vs Booker T for the US Title? Oh Well big show will win but please don't let this go over 10 minutes because it would be boring.

Winner-Big Show

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio

I don't know I keep on thinking that Eddie Guerrero is going to turn heel. And i am all for that because Eddie makes a perfect heel however what would do to the tag team situation? I don't think Eddie will turn heel tonight but will be a hint of it. Eddie won't turn heel until Rey and him lose tag team titles so I think Eddie will win the friendly fight.

Winner-Eddie Guerrero

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker Vs. Randy Orton

Well if anybody is going to end The Undertakers undefeated streak it's not going to be the Legend killer. I mean if Randy Orton wasn't going in for surgery after this match than maybe he would win but seeing that he is going in for sugery the Undertaker will remain Undefeated

Winner-The Undertaker

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle

This could be the Match of the Year candiate. This is a Dream match and I can't wait to see it. It's hard to pick whos going to win but i am big Kurt Angle fan but i have a feeling One Raw and One SD will win the Inter-matches so i am going with HBK here.

Winner-HBK Shawn Michaels

As for Pipers Pit goes. Well from what I am hearing their is a possiblity that Muhamad Hussan could interupt that segement but my friend brought up something interesting I should point out. Ok think of this Wrestlemania is in California or Hollywood Right? Well who usually tends to turn up some of the times when Raw was in california? That's right folks the Rock. Now I know the Rock is retirng from wrestling but wouldn't it be more fitting if he did it at the grandest stage of them all? Just keep that in mind. Oh and Yeah Hogan will face Hussian probally.

Undertaker (I hope)
Kurt Angle

Well I even watched "The WWE Experience" this morning since I won't see SmackDown! for a while yet. Here we go...

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Batista WWE would be absolute fools to kill his momentum so strongly by not having him walk out with the title. Granted, they have done foolish things before, but the "Batista" chants are so loud even folks as deaf as the RAW writing team can't miss it.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
Edge I hate to make a pick so dependant on Batista walking out with the World Title, but I guess that's the choice I'm making. The squeaky wheel finally gets the oil at WrestleMania.

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
Christy And the title will be defended at Backlash in a lingerie pillow fight. What better way to market a Playboy issue that to have the covergirl win the Women's Championship at the biggest show of the year? I can't think of one.

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Cena I predict that John Cena will have his hand raised in victory. Whether he walks out with the WWE Championship belt in another story, but not something I have to predict.

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Big Show After the death-blow Bart Gunn suffered after losing the Brawlforall match to Butterbean at WrestleMania XV I can't believe WWE would run that risk with the Show provided this match is a work. If it's an actual Sumo Match then I would say Show doesn't stand a chance.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Eddie The winner of this bout greatly depends on how things are planned to progress from here, if Eddie is going to lie, cheat and steal as a heel then Rey-Rey will definately win and send Guerrero over the edge. If they are still going to be partners and champions after this, I view an Eddie win as slightly more likely.

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Undertaker I just can't bet against the Dead Man. I have a hard time believing they will throw away 12 wins in 12 appearances just to make young Randy Orton look good. I would venture a guess that Taker would barely win by DQ or CT before Orton wins in any fashion. If daddy "Cowboy" Bob shows up anything is possible.

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle HBK Angle has put forth his best effort the past month to do everything Michaels has done in his career, but the one thing Shawn Michaels will never be able to do no matter how many years he wrestles is beat Shawn Michaels. Neither will Kurt Angle.

WWE Tag Team Champion Eddie Guerrero vs. WWE Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio
Tough to call. I can see it going either way, but I think Eddie will win and go heel again. WINNER: EDDIE GUERRERO

Women's Championship
Champion Trish Stratus vs. Christy Hemme with Lita
The fact that somebody like Christy is on the show while Victoria and Molly sit backstage is just wrong. The outcome doesn't even matter, because what's the point of being champion of a division with only 4 people? Hopefully this won't go longer than a few minutes. I'm picking Trish to win, as the only way I could see Christy winning was through Lita interference. WINNER: TRISH STRATUS

Sumo Match
Big Show vs. Akebono
Ummm...yeah. Let's put this crap on the card instead of deefending either set of tag belts, the United States Championship, or the Cruiserweight Championship. Dumb. WINNER: AKEBONO

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
*The winner wins a World Heavyweight Championship match anytime within the next year.
Chris Benoit vs. Kane vs. Christian with Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho vs. Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin vs. Edge
This should be great. Any of these guys could make a great challenger for the world belt, and this is probably my 2nd most anticipated match. Going with Edge, though, since I think he's due. He'll probably not get the belt until around Summerslam, but he'll have it this year. WINNER: EDGE

Legend vs. Legend Killer
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
Oh geez, I wonder? It would be great to see Orton go over here. It's the right thing for the business, Orton would be mega-over instantly, it would give him credibility, all reasons it won't happen. No, Mark wants the big paycheck to no-sell and show up whenever he feels like it. He'll win here, and I get the feeling that he's going to retire undefeated at Wrestlemania (hopefully very soon). WINNER: UNDERTAKER

Shawn Michaels vs. Kurt Angle
Match of the night, easily. I've been waiting to see this one forever, and it looks spectacular. This match could really go either way, and I frankly don't care who wins because the match will be so good. I'm going with Angle, since it's probably the last big thing he'll do in the ring. Good luck and be safe, Kurt. WINNER: KURT ANGLE

World Heavyweight Championship
Champion Triple H with Ric Flair vs. 2005 Royal Rumble Winner Batista
Could go either way. The placement on the card should be interesting, since I think they'll put it next to last. They don't like having the last PPV match end with a heel winning. I don't think Batista's taking it here. There's been a great build, but if you look back Triple H has been on the losing end every single week since Batista turned. The crowd is really into Batista, and they'll still be into him next month when he wins at Backlash. Foul play and cheating helps Triple H go over here. WINNER: TRIPLE H

WWE Championship
Champion John "Bradshaw" Layfield vs. John Cena
Easy. Cena wins to end the show. 12 year olds buy the stupid plastic lock-chains and the merchandise money is all Vince cares about. WINNER: JOHN CENA

Sugar Daddy

In what must be a new record, thirty people came out to make predictions for WrestleMania. That’s an increase of eleven from the previous pay-per-view, No Way Out. Our overall prediction rate was 60%, a decrease of two percentage points from No Way Out.

---------------

Ladies and gentleman, your new Intercontinental Champion...

Sugar Daddy (88%)

Top Contenders
1. Freedom Fighter (88%)
2. Kasumi (85%)
3. chris3116 (77%)
4. Djm912 (75%)
4. VCXZX
6. Kippy (70%)
6. Sigma

9. Seven tied (65%)

This is the first time Sugar Daddy has won the Intercontinental Championship. He was actually tied with Freedom Fighter, but was ahead in the World Heavyweight Championship standings. I believe that this is the first tie we’ve had in a while. It will be interesting to see what the standings look like next month as I’m sure we’ll have a much smaller turnout for Backlash.

---------------

Introducing the new World Heavyweight Champion...

VCXZX!!! (104)

Top Contenders (142)
1. Kippy (101)
2. Zero Signal (100)
3. Majin_Megabyte (99)
4. Kasumi (98)

6. The Penguin (92)
6. Spontaneous Mike (92)
8. Spike Mcdougal (91)
8. Jewelz
8. Jshaggy

It had to happen eventually. After walking out of five consecutive pay-per-views with the championship, Majin_Megabyte has finally been defeated. VCXZX struck gold for the first time by winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 21. VCXZX’s first title defense will not be easy as the seven people below him in the standings are all former World Heavyweight or Intercontinental Champions.

---------------

Thanks again and be sure to return next month for Backlash!

The Intercontinental Title Champion is decided by a calculating who has the highest percentage of correct guesses over the three most recent pay-per-views. The Heavyweight Title score awards points for correct guesses (no penalty for wrong guesses) for the six most recent pay-per-views. The points system for the heavyweight title is weighted such that more recent pay-per-views are worth more points. Click here (http://www.rit.edu/~mdk8894/toonzone/wrestlemania05.xls) to view the spreadsheet used to make these calculations. Please, please check my work!

FIVE FISTS OF FURY CHALLENGE

AN OPEN STATEMENT ADDRESSED TO SPIKE MCDOUGAL

Yes back in the running!!!! Now I got to plow through seven people, starting with you Spontaneous Mike

Bring it or shut it Spikey. It's time to settle this. It's time for me to whip you're boney little butt all over my ring.

I propose that starting from our next PPV Backlash till Summerslam, you and I will compete in a best of 5 series, kinda like Booker T and John Cena did for the US title a while back on Smackdown. Only this time the prize isn't gold, it's the extinction of your enemy because the loser of the best of 5 series will have to sit out of the Toonzone WWE Prediction Game for 3 monthes. And this also means that said loser will not be able to compete for either the TWE Heavyweight or Intercontinental Championships during the sit out period.

Interested? Want to know more about how the matchs will work?

How the matches will work is like this: Every PPV from now till the end of August will count as one offical match between the two of us.

which also means:
Backlash - 1 match/1 point in the series
Judgement Day - 1 match/1 point in the series
Bad Blood - 1 match/1 point in the series
Vengeance - 1 match/1 point in the series
SummerSlam - 1 match/1 point in the series

At each PPV, whoever get's the higher number of correct match guesses between the two of us will be considered the winner of that PPV and subsequently of that match and that point. The first person to reach 3 points in the series will be the winner. If we happen to Tie at each of the 5 PPV's including SummerSlam, the series will end in a draw and both competitors will be forced sit down for 3 months.

What do you think of that Spikey? You've been wanting to beat me for monthes now and here's your chance. Do you have the balls to take me on in the series i'm dubbing the Five Fists of Fury Challenge or are you just too scared to step up to the plate. I promise that if you beat me in the Five Fists of Fury, I will get out of your hair forever.

So what's it gonna be Spike? Do you accept or not? PM me with an answer by midnight tommorow.

TWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH:
Majin_Megabyte(C) VS Robin2099 VS The Penguin VS Spontaneous Mike

Since winning at Survivor Series, Majin has been the longest reigning TWE World Heavyweight Champion and a fighting one at that sadly his reign came to end but strangly it was not ended by either one of his three opponents. After surviving the Crippler Crossface from Spontaneous Mike, Majin destroyed him and Robin with Choke Slams then pinned Penguin, the same man he defeated for the title five months before following a power bomb. However Majin decided he wasnt done and issued an open challenge. Who answered? VCXZX of all people, depite puuting up a good fight Majin was too tired and VCXZX won in five minutes

TWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE ROYAL
Kasumi(C) VS Majin_Megabyte VS Sugar Daddy VS Freedom Fighter VS Red Giant VS Dirtbag

For some reason the original match Kasumi vs Majin_Megabyte evolved into a six person battle royal. The final two were Kasumi and Sugar Daddy. Kasumi threw Sugar Daddy out but the momentum took her out as well, unfortunatly Sugar Daddy rolled back in under the bottom rope and Kasumi hit the floor. Sugar Daddy wins the Intercontinental Title

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH
Spike Mcdougal VS Boy Wonder

Both man bled heavily. It took an elbow through a table, two chairshots and a superkick from Mcdougal to finish Boy Wonder off. After the match both men managed to leave on their own
