4 Kids has redone their Yu-Gi-Oh! site with a video preview of GX. Apparantley it's the theme song! Do you want to know what it is? It's the same song 4 Kids used for their One Piece music video! and no this is not an April Fools joke!

They already improved it, can't be any worse than the Japanese version was.
Well, it's a lot better than "duuuunnnn duuuuunn dun dun". Who knows, maybe they won't play that track at all in GX.
On the other hand, I think it's safe to assume that 4Kids isn't going to bother dubbing the PM arc. (considering that they're already pimping this series)

They already improved it, can't be any worse than the Japanese version was.Nothing can improve the abomination known as the original version. I hated almost all of GX (missed the Jinzo episode). I do not even acknowledge it as a Yu-Gi-Oh series, hence why I only call it GX. Let 4kids do whatever they want to this anime. Ironically, this might have a superior dub.

It's still going in Japan! It only started last October, so it is unknown how long it will be! I'm guessing it will be like 65 episodes like Dragon Ball GT!
Pros:
- They didn't use the same stupid instrumental they've been using for the main series the whole time.
- Cards were uncensored.
- Scene transition was smooth.
- They had a large chunk of animation from the OP and ED.
Cons:
- The song blows.
Okay. I bet the dub will suck, but it's not as much as a loss compared to Yu-Gi-Oh Series 2.

I bet the dub will suck, but it's not as much as a loss compared to Yu-Gi-Oh Series 2.Things that were censored in One Piece were uncensored in the preview for One Piece that 4 Kids showed a few weeks before it aired, so the cards in GX might be censored when the show actually airs. The song is crap, but it's better than "Set Sail For One Piece', the dub One Piece theme.

How are you able to watch the preview? I only see lots of scribble on the screen with music playing.
Anyway, I've seen some GX episodes, and it was quite bad. Then again, I only watched five episodes before I stopped, so I have no clue if it got better.
Is the PM the Memory World saga that Viz has just started putting in Shonen Jump? If so, yeah, I would not be surprised if they skipped it due to the themes in it (such as the Items being created by melting the bones of a village's people) and the lack of card battles.

I see actual text on them. And then there's a shot from the original ED that showcases a series of cards from the original series - look closely and you'll see the uncensored Monster Reborn (with an Ankh - Konami and 4Kids censor it to make some weird symbol).
It's hard to make total crap worse, so 4Kids shouldn't have too much to worry about.

I'm wonder why they are showing the dub opening for GX so soon? Is GX gonna start airing during the summer or something? I don't think the are skipping Pharaoh's Memoryin Yu-Gi-Oh. Eric Stuart said that they started dubbing Season 5 last month? You really don't need to know Pharaoh's Memory to know GX, except there's one thing that will confuse dub watchers:
LittleYugi, not Yami Yugi, appears as an adult in episode 1. Yami Yugi is not around anymore at the time because after he dueled Yugi at the end of the series he went into the Afterlife!

Incidently, one one other company has skiped a final series and that was Toei/Cloverway with sailor moon.
That makes 4-kids just as bad as Toei.

Actually I think he was just joking dude. It would be quite funny if it did end at ep 65 though, but for some reason, I have a feeling it is going to go for nearly as long as the original series went.

You give them too little credit. It's like I've been saying for years now, "When 4Kids hits bottom, they just break out the shovels..."
Who wants to bet that 4Kids is going to completely skip the Memory Arc? Put your wallets away, this is called a "sucker bet"...

Yugi goes on to be a normal person who is also a famous duelist. Anzu is killed in a car accident and goes to live in Atem in the afterlife, while Jounouchi becomes an employee for Kaiba Corp. Oh yeah, and he marries Mai, while Honda becomes a school beautician. :p :D
Stupid question, but has Kaiba appeared yet, and is he still the very definition of anti-social, or did he finally get some therapy?

Unfortunatley Kaiba has not appeared yet! The only cameo's so far are Adult Yugi, who we don't see his face, and the Paradox Bros.

Stupid question, but has Kaiba appeared yet, and is he still the very definition of anti-social, or did he finally get some therapy? AFAIK, the closest to Kaiba we've seen is Asuka. Who looks like a female Kaiba (no joke), but I've no clue as to her personality.
I haven't seen this series, and I don't really want to. I've seen synopses, and the only good episodes there were at the time (about 14 episodes in, i guess?) were the two with Titan, which i'm sure were never followed up on...

I haven't seen this series, and I don't really want to. I've seen synopses, and the only good episodes there were at the time (about 14 episodes in, i guess?) were the two with Titan, which i'm sure were never followed up on...The Titan two-parter (eps 12 & 13) were the WORST episodes. They were the most insulting episodes to the previous Yu-Gi-Oh series. They mocked the Millennium Items, the concept of the shadow duels, and the darkness aka the shadow realm (the dark surroundings not the dub-insert damnation zone). I think the better (keyword: better) episodes were the duel with Yugi's deck. That also proves that GX is basically ignoring everything beyond Battle City (albeit there was a scene that had "connections" to Memories).
I always protested GX with a passion. I was cheering when a character left the series, but grumble and cursed when he came back several episodes later. There are many other things that make GX garbage like Chronos, the main (sigh) villain, Judai's repetitive dueling strategies in the early episodes, and the HORRIBLE character design. I know that Takahashi did a few character sketches, but they looked good on black and white by pencil/marker. Since the episodes are in the late twenties, I guess I should make a final assessment because 26 episodes are the usual number of episodes in a season. I don't think even "Manjome Sandaa!!" can sway me. GX is the worst anime series sequel since Dragonball GT.

Possibly because her dub counterpart is one of the most annoying characters on earth. That, or she ruins the YugixKaibaxJonouchi pairings for girls.

frankly, there's not a lot they can do that I won't care about. They completely wrecked Battle City anyway, which was probably the best yugioh arc, they killed Noah's arc, the best story arc for Kaiba, and things aren't looking up for Doma either.
The only enjoyable thing I've seen in GX so far was Manjoume's Duel monster spirit, "Ojama Yellow". I have to admit that's friggin good. I swear, this series is all 4kids and a few odes to Kevin Tewart and Curtis Schultz. XD

Why does everybody think Memories arc is gonna be skipped? It's gonna be dubbed! GX and Memrories are suppose to be airing around the same time! Isn't Season 5 the Kaiba Corp. Grand Prix?
Even if Pharaoh's Memory arc will get dubbed, there is always a chance that Al Kahn could get cold feet since it has nothing to do with the card game and just shelve it or promote it for the uncut DVD release and simply go on to GX.

Anzu wasn't annoying. She was a good regular girl in the original japanese version. It's the whole Tea Gardner dub counterpart that people really despise. Since the beginning of the series, Tea was practically reduced to being a big-mouth preacher for friendship and encouragement. She has a tendency to berate and shoot-to-hell anyone that even does so much as question friendship or achievement. If you didn't have friends, whether you're good or not, Tea Gardner thinks you're scum, period. Now, don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong about having friends or a will to succeed, but Tea's radical approach to them is making people sick!

The worst part about Anzu's character being stripped of integrity: 4Kids actually makes fun of their bastardization. In the first episode of DOMA's dub:

And to the poster above, I just read through the episode descriptions, and no where does it say Kaiba is going to be in it. It just metions the card Kaibaman, who is one of some seven assassins.

Well they should not have made the names so similar. Well, maybe this Kaibaman will kill everyone then since he is an assassin. Perhaps we have to wait until the seventh assassin comes. Whatever, at least they will not ruin Seto.

More, he seems to be a parody of the Japanese tokusatsu (sp?) heroes, as was Saiyaman. Which gives them a unified origin, yes.
I must say, however- Who was doing which drug when they cooked up Kaibaman? I can't think of anything more out of charachter for Kaiba... I mean, actually SMILING? Good lord.
