Howdy all,
Ladies and gentlemen, a round of applause to Dick Grayson for that interview!
>clap clap clap clap clap clap clap<
BTW, the Kyle thing Bruce Timm is worried about is easy. John Stewart was the second choice. Something happened to Kyle, taking him out of action for a period, and the ring/the Guardians then chose the next replacement rather than leave a sector unguarded. Voila, John Stewart is GL, and Kyle gets re-assigned once he recovers.

You know what's cool? Timm said he's seriously consider any fan suggestion to make the Kyle/John thing work. This means that any workable idea that is come up with, even here, could become official! Neat, eh? And your does sound plausible but I don't think it can work. Abin Sur gave the ring to Stewart before he Sur died, right?, but then shows up again to give Kyle the ring. And if Stewatr=rt has supposedly been in the sector for 10 - 15 years, while the S:TAS episode takes place 3 - 5 years ago.
Wow...Timm's right...hurts the head...

Ok...
Wow. I look forward to the "minor" villains he spoke of. Any bets on what JGA stands for? Justice Girls of America? Lol. Well...the official position on a few things was set out there...
Dick...when did it ever say that Abin Sur gave Stewart the ring? The Guardians said:
"We chose wisely when we offered you the ring."
Nothing about Abin Sur

Multiple Human GLs...
JS got his ring from the guardians....and got assigned out of state so to speak..
Abin Sur was assigned to the "Earth Sector" and gave up his ring, which is what we saw in STAS.
Now, JS is back on Earth, and perhaps Kyle is off training...or got re-assigned...or hasn't been using his power..cause he's scared/doesn't have the time/wants to be normal.

"In Brightest Day" took place in Superman's head when the Mad Hatter trapped him in his dream machine.
You're welcome.

Why doesn't Dini & Timm make the GL Core like Preists in the Catholic Church? I don't mean literally, of course  , I mean in the sense that in the Catholic Chruch, Preists don't always run churches local to them. For example, the Chruch in my hometown has a Preist from Poland.
In other words, there is more than one human GL (why not?), and after Kyle Rainer was chosen to wear one ring, he's either currently (1) out in GL "Boot Camp", so to speak, or (2) was assigned to another sector besides Earth right after becoming a GL.
With that plot line, it can even be resolved how John Stewart is older than Kyle Rainer! John Stewart was the Earth sector GL BEFORE Kyle Rainer became a GL. Remember, Kyle Rainer got Abin Sur's ring, and there's no reason to assume that Abin Sur was in charge of the Earth sector. It can be said that Kyle Rainer just became the GL for whatever sector Abin Sur.
Also, like Preists do in the Catholic Church, GLs can be moved from sector to sector from time to time, just to learn about the Galaxy and make their jobs less repetitive. :p
There must several hundred GLs in the entire Galaxy; I would think that the 6 or 7 we saw on "In Blackest Night" were the only ones who knew about the shenanigans going on, or were close enough to do anything about them.
How about that? Dini & Timm are welcome to use that idea of mine!
Oh, and they could have a two-parter in Season 2 where Rainer chases some bad guy(s) from his sector into our sector, so we can see John Stewart and Kyle Rainer team up. Now that would rock!

Hello all! First time poster, although I visit these boards regularly.
Anyway, I thought the interview was great! I'm still a little ticked that they couldn't use the Justice Society, and are instead going with the JGA. What does the JGA stand for anyway? Justice Guardians of America?

Great interview DG! Thanks a lot!
It was nice to hear Timm touch on some of the continuity that we've all been wondering about.
Woulda loved to see that "pitch black" Catwoman BB story though.

Thanks for the interview DG! I'm glad to hear that Timm won't have any of the seven members quit. I can't wait to see Despero next season and Amazo.

I think the Guardians saw how Earth was after "Leagcy" and sent John down to help Kyle and the other heroes.

I already posted my Kyle Rayner theory on the Timm -- Abin Sur's the problem thread, so I won't repeat it here.
When I was writing it out I thought, "Wouldn't it be great if I wrote the script myself and sent it in?" I know that some girls got a Tiny Toons episode done [that they wrote], so I'm wondering: is it possible for one of us to get a script for Justice League used on the show?
