Evangelion Manga > Evangelion Anime

After reading Volume 9, I really have to say the Manga handled this part of the series better, anything that was up in the air in the anime is pretty much bolted down with titanium bolts of bolting justuce. In other words it's pretty much well grounded in the chaos and not just caught up in other things. So in otherwords it's undertsandable and well explained chaos(and fanservice) but well explained none the less, and the notes they provide with the book are to notch.

How many more volumes are left? is volume 10 the final one?

It's supposed to go to volume 11, but I wouldnt' be surprised if it spilled over into 12. Of course, I wouldn't even expect volume 10 to come out this year in Japan.

Since volume 7, when he decided to explore Kaji's background, I've been pretty much convinced that Sadamoto's take on the story is far superior to than in the anime. The fact that he decided to reduce the number of Angels and outright kill Touji in volume 6, which was FAR more effective, further contributes to it. However, the anime isn't celebrated because of how the story is told.
