Ah, I remember being 13 years old...
- ABC ruled Tuesday nights with "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", "SOAP" and "Three's Company"
- Jimmy Carter was running this country into the ground
- TAB was the #1 diet soft drink
- VCR units were top-loading and cost a fortune
- Cable TV was just coming into the Chicago area
- McDonald's didn't have 'Happy Meals'
- Disco music was the popular choice, along with silk shirts and polyester Sansabelt slacks
- Walter Cronkite was still broadcasting the evening news
GOD, AM I OLD!!!
Anyway, have a happy birthday!!!

I gotcha both beat...I was 13 in 1971!
I actually remember watching The Flintstones, The Bugs Bunny Show and Beany & Cecil FIRST RUN in PRIME TIME!
And at 6 pm every night our local station (WGN) ran a different show :
Monday : Huckleberry Hound
Tuesday : Yogi Bear
Wednesday & Friday : Rocky and Friends
Thursday : Quick Draw McGraw or Woody Woodpecker
Bart - you sound like a fellow Chicago area resident - remember seeing LT/MM on The Ray Rayner Show weekday mornings?
Foley -after all the hell you've been thru recently I hope you have the best birthday EVER! You rock, dude!

Of course I remember Ray Rayner!! His show was great! That's where I developed my love for LTs & MMs! WGN used to have some great cartoons!
Remember 'Garfield Goose'? That program regularly showed Harveytoons like Herman & Katnip and Casper until Ch-32 stole them away!
Now I don't feel so old... :p

Ya know what? I don't remember a lot that went on in the world from February 3, 1994 -- February 3, 1995.

Happy Birthday! BTW, look at the AniGen board, we have this thread up there too. :D But that's good! Now oodles of people can sing Happy Birthday to you! ('Cept me, the girl with the so-they-say falsetto voice)
What was it like when *I* was 13? Well, A! went to Nickelodeon, Christmas almost took over Thanksgiving, there was this HUGE obsession with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, some movie about a magical ring came out, and---
Waitaminute....I'm *still* 13! Heh heh....guess I forgot.
