I wrote this earlier because I needed some outlet for emotion. Hope you guys like it.

Beneath My Smile
For year uncounted, unknown, untold,
I’ve watched the setting sun,
And thought of you that night so cold,
When sadness was just for fun.
I’ve hear your laughter, I’ve shared you fears,
And seen you hide for miles and miles,
Beneath that exterior fall broken tears,
Behind that frozen smile.
Can you promise me it’s the truth you tell,
When you say you’re happy with glazed eyes,
Can you make me believe you’re truly well,
And know I fear your lies.
How can I trust you to be your best,
When all you want to do is drown,
Beneath the sea of cold and rest,
Never to be found.
You’re heart has broken to infinite shards,
And still you walk that lonely road,
That leads you to play your gifted cards,
And find the secret of the hidden code.
You’re heart is like a maze that winds,
Beneath the moon and darkest night,
You keep a secret none can find,
Even if at times you lose your sight.
You’re my reflection, but far beyond,
The sadness, my secret for miles and miles,
The happiness that was long since gone,
The heart that is, beneath my smile.
