I really haven't done one in forever but I'm hoping that this fic will be somewhat interesting to you guys out there. It's a Raven fic and it's bounced off of Nevermore sort of. At first it centers around Beast Boy a lot but in the begining he's being a little pest for sure so we know there's gonna be problems! Here goes the prologue, I hope you enjoy it.
~Reket

Prologue
------------------------

The little green spider crawled underneath all of the tower's little doors, rummaging through junk and abysmal mounds of forgotten things the Titans had dumped all over the place in the tower. It crawled up a side of a mound and suddenly transformed into the familiar form of Beast Boy.

"Aha!" He dug through the stuff and pulled out a remote control. "Hm. This one looks like our fourth one that we lost a while back. It still works!" and he was about to jump off when all of a sudden, the pile crashed under his weight!

"Nice going," Raven said monotonely. She levitated him out of the pile. He stood up and brushed himself off.

"I got the remote!" Beast Boy yelled and tossed it to Cyborg.

"All right, man, now you gotta look for these things too," Cyborg said, tossing him a list. "It's a list of things you lost, and you better find them!"

"Fine, fine," Best Boy said. He began with the bottom of the list, going up, but he searched the tower upside down already and he couldn't find them all and there was only one place he hadn't looked: Raven's room.

"Raven...no Raven," he muttered to himself, and let himself into her creepy room. He began rummaging through her stuff trying to look for some of the things when all of a sudden he looked up and a creepy pair of eyes were glaring at him deep dark red. "Waah!" he yelled, and fell backwards.

Raven chose just that moment to reenter her room. "What the..." She said, looking at Beast Boy in there toppling over and staring at a mask she had on her wall. He was falling and hit the edge of her dresser. "BEAST BOY! NNNOOOOOO!" She ran towards the dresser, but it was too late.

Her meditation mirror, which was laying on top of the dresser, fell off and hit the ground at a bad angle. A horribly resounding crack echoed throughout the whole tower as the mirror split and broke into pieces on the ground. Around them, a loud tornado of wind rushed past their ears, and soon the main frame of the mirror seemed to turn into some sort to warp hole as it began to suck particular books and stuff into it.

"AHHHHH!! HELP!" Beast Boy yelled, and he went in too.

"BEAST BOY!" Raven screamed, and in she went as well. The rest of the Titans that were enjoying their breakfast meal were suddenly interrupted when the door blasted open and each of them, in turn, were pulled all the way to Raven's room and down into the darkness of the mirror.

But unknown to them, the broken mirror not only disrupted the tower of its inhabitants but some parts of the city as well. The howling wind swept over Jump City and some people were swept away too. In the mind of Raven, anything was possible, and they were not alone in there.

Um, has someone already thought of this on another fic or something that I'm not aware of??? Or does this just plain suck? Becuase if it does, I'll gladly accept the feedback and stop writing it.

Chapter 1

---------------------------

"Umph."

"Ouch! Get...your..hands...off of me!"

"Please, what has happened? Why are we here? Why has the sun disappeared?"

It was pitch black until a small green glow from Starfire's hand lit up the place. On the ground, Cyborg and Robin were wrestling with each other, not knowing what they were fighting with until they saw each other's eerily glowing faces, illuminating the green from the starbolt.

"AAAhhhh!" both of them yelled at the same time. They let go of each other and brushed themselves off. Starfire helped Robin stand up. Cyborg was turning on his shoulder light, shining it around. They were standing on a dirt bridge of some kind. He was standing at the very edge, and the edge crumbled a little, sending bits of rock and dirt down into the darkness.

"Oh, man," Cyborg moaned. "I know where we are. I thought I'd never see this place again, dang!"

"Cyborg then, can you please explain to us what is happening here?" Robin demanded. Star nodded, flying a little above the ground and her hands still glowing.

"Yeah, man, yeah. You and Star've never been here before, but BB and I have. You remember the morning after we met Dr. Light for the first time ever? BB and I went into Raven's room, and the pest BB did somethin..." Cyborg scratched his head trying to remember. "Oh yeah. He picked up Raven's mirror, and before we knew it, he was getting sucked into it! I tried to pull him out, but then both of us went in instead."

"Uhhuh," Robin said. "Where exactly does this mirror take you?"

"Uh, this'll make you flip man, but we're in Raven's mind," Cyborg said. "This mirror she uses for meditation, but I don't get it. We weren't in the room. I dunno why all of a sudden the mirror would bring us here!"

"Um, did it break?" Starfire asked. She sounded frightened.

"Maybe, how should I know! What makes you think that?" Cyborg said. "Sounds just like BB, that little...he knows he shouldn't mess around in Raven's room..." But he was cut off when Starfire pointed at something high in the sky. Robin gasped. It was a large, red, glowing crack in the darkness.

*************************
"Raven. Rae, wake up!" Raven groggily opened her eyes. Bent over her was Beast Boy, shaking her by the shoulder. His green face was covered with worry. "Come on, Raven. Don't pass out again."

"I'm fine," she said, pushing him away. She took a look around and groaned. "Beast BOY! Now look what you've done!" her head hurt when she said it. It felt like her head was splitting into a million little pieces. She remembered him breaking the mirror. "What were you doing in my room? You know you're not supposed to be in there!"

"I'm sorry, all right? I didn't mean to do all this, it was an accident, I swear!" he cried. "I fell backwards and lost my balance!"

"Well, because of your accident, we're stuck in here with no means to get back out, no means of escape. Do you realize what you've done? We're not even sure how bad it is, if this isn't already bad enough! you could've sucked the whole dang CITY into my mind, and then what? My mind already feels like it's exploding right now, there's too many things that don't belong here."

"So...do you think the others are in here?" BB asked.

"I don't know...wait. I think so," she said. "We have to go look for them, before..."

"Before what?"

"Before something worse happens," she finished, but that wasn't what she was going to say at first. He helped her up and they began walking down the long, long pathway towards the first dark gateway. They didn't notice the shadow and the dark eye glaring at them from behind.

Sucks that it hasen't had more feedback! I'm glad to see ya back. Give us another chapter and see how it goes.
If you post it, they will come. Seriously, post more of it.:anime: You have a good idea here and I for one would like to see more of it.

Thanks, everybody that has been posting. I was a bit worried at first, actually, because i haven't been on in a really long time and all, maybe I've totally lost it, but here goes the next chapter into my story...

--------------------------------
Chapter 2

Cyborg, Robin, and Starfire were picking their way down the path, hoping to find someone they recognized. They were walking for such a long time they even hoped maybe to catch a glimpse of a bad guy they knew, just to know they were going someplace at all.

"All right, this is gettin' weird, ya'll." Cyborg said, scratching his head. "Usually by now we come across some, like, gateway that we ain't supposed to go in or somethin. Or like maybe, you get to meet one o those creepy whatsit Ravens. But I don't see nothin!"

"Perhaps it has broken? Perhaps they are hiding?" Starfire asked.

"Hiding is right. Or at least, I'm hiding," said a tiny little voice somewhere, and out from the shadows swished a grey cloak. "Hello. I'm sorry for interrupting you. I'm really sorry. I am."

"Hey, I know you!" Cyborg said. "You're that wimpy-I mean, really, uh, sad Raven. yeah, I definitely remember you!"

"I'm truly sorry for taking you to the end of the maze, I really am. I just knew you were going to hate me," she whimpered, shrinking backinto her cloak. She looked like she was about to cry.

"Helpless," Cyborg sighed.

"You mean...that's Raven?" Robin said. He raised an eyebrow at the grey Raven's peculiar behavior. She was nodding, then shaking her head again. and then she just seemed like she couldn't make up her mind.

"Sorta. It's a little confusing," Cyborg said, and he explained as best as he could about all the sides of Raven's.

"Why hello dismal, melancholy Raven!" Starfire said, very much the opposite of what the sad Raven was feeling herself.

"Heelo, Starfire," she whispered. "I know you don't act like it, but you don't like me, do you...I'm sorry I was ever mean to you! I'm..."

"Would you quit with the apologizing already?' Robin roared. His head was throbbing, and he was trying to make sense of what was going on. "Cyborg, you mentioned some sort of door. There must be one to get out, right? Do you remember where it is?"

"Yeah, but..."

"But what?!?"

"Well, we got there with Raven's, I mean the normal Raven's help. And when we got there, man, we had a little problem with her daddy."

"You mean...him?" suddenly Robin looked a little, just a little, scared.

"Robin, who is Raven's father?" Star asked. The day they switched bodies, Raven seemed to make a clear point of avoiding that topic, and Starfire's natural curiosity was bending her to ask for a long time now. when she asked, the sky gave a large cracking sound, and the black sky's large red scar grew larger.

"He's a demon by the name of Trigon. But why would...what would he be doing in Raven's mind?" Robin rubbed his chin thoughtfully with his thumb and forefinger.

"He represents her rage. Just like the grey girl right here is her saddy side," Cyborg said. "And the green one is this really kick-ass one. And then there's this pink one that freaks me out the most, personally. I mean, the girl is so happy the only thing she and our Raven has in common are their noses. They don't even sound the same, man! And she wears pink!"

"Ooookay," Robin said. "Uh, let's see. Raven, Beast Boy. Come in. Can you hear me? Please respond. This is Robin speaking." He said into the Titan communicator.

***********************
Raven and Beast Boy, led by Raven, had already gotten to the exit gateway when their coms began to ring with a beeping version of the theme song. "When there's trouble, you know who to call...Teen Titans!" Beast Boy sang as Raven answered the call.

"Robin!" Raven almost yelled when his face popped up.

"Hey, Raven. Nice to know that you're...okay. Is Beast Boy there with you?"

"Yeah. And causing trouble at the least," Raven replied. She kicked Beast Boy when he tried to slouch away, but not that hard. He winced anyway. "He broke my mirror, and now we're all trapped here-"

"Yeah, Cy and Star guessed it, they're both right here with me. Cy told me about the exit, can you tell me where it is?"

"I'm standing right in front of it, but it won't help us now, trust me." When Robin asked her why, she replied with, "I won't tell you, but I'll show you." She pointed the com at the exit.

The gateway was only a pile of crumbled rock at their feet. "Terrific, hm?" Raven said.

"I do not understand. If that is our only possible exit, we are trapped here forever?" Star gasped from the background.

"Not quite. I know someone that might be able to help in here," Raven said. "Too bad I can't really stand her."

Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire exchanged glances. "Who?"

Raven raised an eyebrow. "Me."

*****************************
A few moments later, the whole team met up together. Raven was raising eyebrows again when the other three arrived with the grey image of herself trailing along.

"Why'd you bring her?" Raven asked.

"We'll, we couldn't really leave her there by herself," Cyborg pointed out.

"Yeah you could. My sides always disappear somewhere," Raven said. then she motioned to an archway in front of them. "Glad to see its still standing. I think a few of them's fell down." She walked through, followed by everyone else, and lastly, the grey Raven.

"Uh, whoa," said Beast Boy, raising his eyebrows at the yellowness.
It was yellow heaven, all the trees, grass, and test tubes. "Test Tubes!?!" he screamed. Yes, Test tubes were hanging everywhere, and in the middle of the yellow forest was a yellow little hut. And that was where they were all headed. Who answered the door was, of course, Raven.

"Whoa, Raven with glasses!" Beast Boy whistled.

"Um, yes. Hello, Beast Boy. and you all, of course, Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, and myself," said yellow Raven. She was clad completely in yellow, from glasses to boots.

"Hi," whispered grey Raven. they walked in and took seats on yellow sofas and chairs.

"I know why your here. I also know how to get what you want and know what you don't want to know that you should know anyhow," yellow Raven said matter-of-factly, She didn't give anyone else a chance to say anything.

"Now you know why I can't stand her," whispered Raven to Robin.

"And I know what you just said, Raven," said yellow Raven, but her face now looked annoyed. "But I'll tell you all." She walked over to a yellow projector. "I know that the gateway's broken. But I also know that you are not the only one's that are seeking a way out. I know there are some others here that do not know what is going on, and do not belong here."

"You mean, it's not only the tower?" Beast Boy said.

"I know," yellow Raven said. "It swept all over the city. you could have gotten into quite a-"

CRACK! All of a sudden, the huge noise echoed through the whole yellow land, blasting through their ears, and all three Ravens present were down on their knees, hands covering their ears and eyes shut tight in pain. Because just when it had cracked, the red scar grew wider, and more gateways collapsed. Not only that, but a visible mark began to appear on Raven: a large cut going down from her head trough her forehead gemstone.

"Aaah!" grey Raven screamed, much out of her usualy soppy self. She was in agony, and so was yellow Raven, on the ground and clutching her midriff. In seconds, it was over, and gasping, the three Ravens stood up.

"What the..." Cyborg gasped when he saw the cut on Raven. It was bleeding freely, and Raven quickly raised her hand to heal herself. The cut was still there, but at least it wasn't running blood.

"I'm sorry, I should have told you about this!" grey Raven sobbed just as yellow Raven gasped, "I know that the longer we wait, the more in danger we are in. Raven's mind is falling apart, and one by one, each side of Raven, meaning us, as in me and the grey one over there, are falling. I know that Rage is trying to break free now, but if it can't, it will try and escape through Raven's death. And we cannot allow that.

"I am afraid that one of us has already fallen," Raven growled. "I felt it, the whole darn orange place came crashing down on top of me, I couldn't do anything to stop it. My orange cloak got stuck on a fallen statue and I couldn't move, and that was the end of it."

"I'm sorry for us," cried grey Raven, and she burst into tears. Star took her onto her lap, and normal Raven looked disgusted with herself. "Baby," she muttered.

"First things first," Starfire said, looking at the crestfallen grey one, "We musst locate all of the sides of Raven before any more of them are destroyed. It seems they make a whole of Raven, and if one perishes, the one standing right here..." she looked at the cut.

"I know. We don't have much time left," yellow raven said. But as she said it, Robin said it too at the exact same time to much of the others' surprise. However, he did say something else the yellow Raven didn't say.

"Titans, let's go!"

----------------------------------------
I know this chapter is some bit longer than the first chapter, but I hope you enjoy and I hope it isn't too long. I know that the beginning is a little more on the explanatory side, not so much action, and I know you're probably tired of hearing "I know", so I'll just shut up now and eat some ice cream.

Until next chapter.

Hmmm... are we going to see any BB/Rae in this fic? Hmmm? A gentle kick? ;)

Nicely done. setting up the stage, adding the dramatic element and some good characters. It's going the right way... so keep it up.

Chapter 3

They decided to go together to the Pink Raven's place. "You mean, we're going to the place where the air fresheners are?" Cyborg exclaimed. "Aw man, I remember her. She told us not to go, the gateway we weren't supposed to go in, but we went anyway."

But that was where they were going, and Robin was about to lead when he realized he didn't know where it was and ended up at the back of the line, watching behind just in case. Raven was in front, of course.

"WHY are you guys following me around?" Raven said irritated. Yellow Raven and the Grey, timid Raven were following her so close that she could feel them just breathing on her back. "Go follow Starfire around or something!"

"I'm sorry, I would, but she's flying right now and it seems quite dangerous in the air right now," Grey Raven apologized. Both Yellow and normal Raven looked up when they heard the gasp from Starfire and the mechanical sound of Cyborg's arm shifting to its Sonic Cannon mode.

A big black wave spotted with red was rushing at them at a terrifying speed, and as they continued to watch, Yellow Raven's eyes widened.

"I know what they are!" she cried, being able to see further with the glasses because Raven in reality never needed glasses in the first place, they were just there to make her look smart. So she could see farther than anyone else. "The crows, the CROWS!"

Indeed they were a huge flock. They were huge ugly creatures wit glowing red eyes and sharp beaks that hid the inch-long teeth inside. The feet were too big to be normal, the claws flexing as they awaited to grip the prey ahead of them. But it wasn't only the mutated crows that were the problem.

"Watch out below!" Starfire screeched, pointing down at the ground. Scurrying closer and closer was a black swarm that Starfire remembered all too well. It was the group of rat-like creatures that had taken Starfire away one dark night, long ago, in the basement of Titans tower.

"Great. Time to get going," Cyborg said, running and shooting at the ground at the same time. Starfire, in the air, began firing starbolts at the crows.

"Take...this!" Robin yelled, aiming and throwing two freeze discs towards the crows in an attempt to help Star alone in the sky. Timid Raven was freaking out, and soon Yellow Raven was also.

“Get a GRIP!" Raven scowled at them both. "Really, and you call yourselves Raven!" She rushed behind to help out her friends. "Azarath, Metrion, ZINTHOS!" She sent a wave of rocks at the rat-like creatures, and many of them fell behind.

“I know, I know!” Yellow Raven cried, and yelled, “Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!” A big black crow flew at the mutated crows, and swept many of them away into darkness. Timid Raven totally lost it and began running off on her own.

“Wait, Raven!” Robin yelled, and the other two Ravens, distracted, turned to him. “Grey Raven!” he clarified. “Come back! We shouldn’t be separating like this! Come back before you meet something you can’t handle!” But she didn’t listen, and continued to run until she saw a large second crowd of the rat like creatures coming in from the other direction. She screamed in terror.

“AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!” Raven yelled, and sent her own crow at the rats, but her voice was not the only one. She turned to Yellow Raven, thinking it was her, but it wasn’t; up above her, a dark flash of green was flying through the air and she landed right in front of grey Raven.

“Hoohah! Take that, and that, and THAT!” Green Raven screamed in fun. She was sending boulders crashing down and happily throwing black bolts of dark magic at it. Even just newly arrived, she was already gung-ho into the action.

“What the…! Where did you come from?” Cyborg called. He turned for a moment to face the other wave of rats. Apparently all the people on the ground were surrounded. Raven and Yellow Raven had taken to the air just a little bit ago. Robin was building up a large wall of ice to stop both the crows and the rats from one side.

“Sweet! You go, Raven!” Beast Boy whooped. Then he transformed into a hawk and flew up next to Raven and Starfire.

“It’s like this! And like that! And like THIS!” Green Raven yelled with glee. To the other Titans’ relief and amazement, the black rats parted and scattered, taking on too much, and left a way for them to walk on through. “Hoohah! Hi fives, everyone!”

“Ummm, right,” Cyborg said, his arm shifting back to a normal hand. “Score,” he said. He gave her a somewhat weak high five.

“Come on, I need more of this! Whoo, I am UP!” said Green Raven.

“I know. Could you please quiet down and let me think, even though I know you can’t?” Yellow Raven retorted.

“What a way to start the morning! First was the destradoes, them beastly things, and then I spotted Trigon but of course he ignored me. Anyways, this has been the best day ever! Even if theycompletely burned out my green trees!”

“Destradoes?” Robin asked.

“These statue things. Two faced,” Raven explained. “Anyhow, your home is destroyed? And what do you mean, Trigon? I thought I locked him up down under in the pit the other day. I swore I killed hatred. Hatred is…past.”

“You think, I know,” Yellow Raven said. Her voice was very grave. “I know because I was there, you don’t because you haven’t used the mirror ever since that other day. I know it began when Terra had come. Your hatred was so great, your bars over the pit cracked. And then…and then he came.”

“I’m sorry, I didn’t say anything either,” Grey Raven cried. “I saw the whole thing too! I was just sitting there, pondering with my own business. And then there he was! He wasn’t completely free…but after the whole shattering of the mirror, it rocked Raven’s mind so much, our minds, that his chains just came off! I am so, so terribly sorry!”

“Ah, don’t worry! We took him down before, we can do it again!” Green Raven said. “Who’s up for some major butt kicking?”

“Last time, Raven, all of us were there, and we could barely beat him. He’s already gotten one of us,” Raven said. “It’s hopeless. We’re stuck here and we can’t beat him. I’m slowly dying and my mind is in ruins. We might as well give up.”

Robin straightened at those words. “The Teen Titans never give up! We’ve done the impossible before, we can do this. Raven, last time you, Beast Boy, and Cyborg had to fight for yourselves. Starfire and I are here now. We can still take him on!”

“Yeah, I know we can. But there’s one problem,” Yellow Raven said. “No matter how irresponsible we seem, and I know some of us do…” she looked at Green Raven, who didn’t even care if her home sector was utterly destroyed, and Grey Raven, who seemed good for nothing but whining, “…We all control and maintain a part of Raven. We are a part of her. We are her emotions, but we control her other parts as well. Like memories."

“So…” Starfire said, catching on, “If one of you has fallen, that means that one of the sections of Raven has been left unguarded.”

“Precisely,” Yellow Raven said. “I know why the Orange Raven was targeted first. I know the section Orange Raven guards. It is the part that holds Raven’s memories of all the evil and darkness she ha encountered in her life. I know that if it is unguarded, Trigon can access it without any disturbance.”

“Isn’t the Orange one the rude one?” Beast Boy said, scratching his head. “Why in the world did you guys let her guard that of all things? Why not all the food that she remembers? Why not all the sarcastic remarks she remembers to give me after every word I say?”

“I’m sorry,” Grey Raven said. “I hold the Raven general long term memories.”

“Hoohah, I take the Short term ones. Though I really wish I got her memories of all the fights she got in, but it’s totally random. It’s all mixed up. Isn’t that so Hoohah?” Green Raven announced.

For once, Yellow Raven didn’t say anything in response, no “I knows” or well known facts she knew but no one else knew and all. Raven said, “Look, it’s all part of a balance, okay? Sometimes things are a little mixed up. Human minds, or even half human minds like mine aren’t perfect.”

“So what does she guard then, that she couldn’t guard the evil people?” Beast Boy retorted. The others wanted to ask too, but they didn’t want to seem rude.

“He’d be such good friends with Orange Rae,” Cyborg muttered to Robin.

“As Orange Raven holds all the evil she remembers,” Yellow Raven said bluntly, “I hold memories of all her friends.”

----------------------------------------

That’s the end of that chapter. Okay Okay, you all probably guessed what Yellow Raven guarded, right? I was thinking just now of How Long Is Forever and the original Raven where she became isolated in the future. Well, something happened to Yellow Raven by then. This guarding part isn’t part of the Nevermore stuff and all, but a fic is a fic and stuff is added on once in a while! :anime:sorry to keep you all waiting!

WHAT'S SO BAD ABOUT CROWS!?!?

Just kidding. :p

All these Ravens interfering with the Titans is so funny! You capture each Raven's personality exactly, it's one of the best parts about the story. But isn't red the evil one, not orange? I'm pretty sure orange is the lazy/rude Raven.

Oh well, this is awesome! Keep going! :anime:

Yeah, I was trying to explain it in the fic. See, even though each of them have a personality, they guard a section of her mind that doesn't necessarily link with the emotion they are. So yellow Raven doesn't guard her memory of what she's read for example, but her friends. And orange rude Raven guards all the evil she remembers. Green one, who is the fighter hyper one, has the short term memory although she prefers to have the memory on all the fighting Raven remembers :D . Grey Raven doesn't guard the sad memories, but the general long term ones like how to speak english.;)

Aw, darn! I've retyped this thing three times already. It was a minimum day today early out from school so I was using my hours to do this instead, only my internet still doesn't work so I'm on my sister's laptop again. thing is, her laptop's touchpad mouse thingy has a section that makes it go BACK and when it does that, everything is deleted. At this rate, I'm only probably going to finish HALF of chapter 4.

however, I'm proud of this chapter. It begins with someone we haven't heard from yet thus far in the story, as well as someone we have never met...

---------------------------------------
Chapter 4

Was he...dead? Did he die just now, as the chain of tornadoes whipped through Jump city? those things could've killed any man, not to say him.

He certainly felt dead. Everything was silent, everything was black. It was like going blind; his eyes were wide open now, but he still saw nothing. He perked his ears up, trying to pick up the slightest sound. Nothing. If this was the end, then there was no point in getting up.

He was dead after all. It wouldn't make a difference if he sat up or stayed on his back. But as he was thinking this, he heard the steady sound of incoming footsteps. It rattled throughout the emptiness around him.

"Who is it?" he called out. After all, if he was dead, this person couldn't do anything more to him.

"Hello, dear boy. I'm glad to meet you," replied the owner of the footsteps. "I'm a friend, here to help. We share a common goal, you and I."

"Goal?" he said. "What goal is that? I'm out of goals. I'm dead."

The person gave a low laugh. "Dead? not dead yet, dear boy, but if you continue lying there you soon will be." He snapped his fingers, and all of a sudden, there was light. It wasn't like a light from a bulb, or the sun. It was just there all of a sudden, everywhere, and although it was dim it still hurt wide open eyes.

he squinted. When his eyes adjusted, he found himself looking up at an eye. "What do you want from me?"

"I want to work together with you, boy. I saw what you did in the town square, boy."

"saw? I didn't do anything. I just died on the pavement. You must be looking for someone else. I'm a dead kid."

"Not dead. Far from dead. I'm quite interested in you, child," said the man. He held out a hand. "You can call me...Slade."

********************************
"I don't GET you people!" Beast Boy said. "You mean we're trying to get TO that crazy dude demon? When you all know he's out to get us???"

"Stop being so melodramatic," Raven said.

"That's what he does," Cyborg replied.

The Titans, accompanied by three of the Ravens now, were right in front of the archway to the pink world. "This is it." Raven was positive. "I find it interesting I can't stand most of my sides, even if they are a part of me. Just goes to show you...anyway."

Robin and Starfire went through first, followed by Green and Yellow Raven. Then Cy and BB crossed. Timid and Raven went through last.

There was a short whoosh! And they were whisked away. All of them stood on the dirt road, and all around them was pink...pink flowers, pink trees, pink grass...

"yup. I can smell it now," BB said, giving a great, big whiff of of the air.

"Where is she?" Raven said, looking around. It was so easy to lose track of her. After all, her cloak blended in completely with everything else. But out came a very pink, very happy girl playing around and pretending to be an airplane.

"VVRRRRROOOOOOOOOOTTTT!" laughed Pink Raven. "Hey y'all! Care to play with me?"

"Not quite," Yellow Raven said, looking disgusted at that kind of play.

"Haven't you noticed what's been going on out there?" Green Raven said.

"Come on, there's butt-kicking out there to be doing! How can you just run around and play?"

"Sorry, I'm feeling a bit down today," Grey Raven said.

"You're always down," Raven snapped, rubbing her head. "We need you to come with us, happy. We can't risk daddy tracking us down, and you know the only way we can bring him down is being together.

"HeeHee! But that's impossible!" Pink Raven said, "Orange Raven already went 'poof'! Saw it all, saw it all!" And for a split second she seemed to frown, but smiled again a moment later. Happy was her emotion, and it was hard for her to really feel anything else, really. That's why Pink Raven rather forgot sad things, so she wouldn't tip the balance by feeling horrible.

"I know. I know a way, however, to maybe even double us," Yellow Raven said. "Robin told me on the way here."

Robin stepped up. "If what uh, this Raven says is true, then we can access memories through all of you. In that case, if we can access ourselves, or what Raven thinks of us through her memory, then we would be able to find outselves and double our number."

"I know that with this process, I can most likely find a way to get Rudeness back," Yellow Raven said, although she shuddered at meeting the rude orange Raven. However, she preferred her than seeing the red Raven any day.

"Nice!" Pink Raven said.

"Can we count you in?" Green Raven said.

"You bet! VVVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOTTTTTTT!" Pink Raven replied.

"Hoohah!" Green Raven cheered. another was joined to their party. But it wasn't that easy. Trigon was already striking left and right, and apparently what appeared before them was a large crowd of what looked like rabbits. White Rabbits with fangs, sharp claws, daggerlike ears, and red slitted eyes.

"Great. Rush of the Bunnies part two," BB said.

"What?" Robin said, but he drew out his gadgets. "Titans, let's go!"

"Shouldn't we just get out of here?" Grey Raven said. "I'm sorry, I'm a coward."

"I feel sorry for you if you leave," Green Raven said. "The chance comes up and we run? No Way!"

And the team charged.

**************************
"Hello Slade." he accepted the hand and pulled himself up. But, in doing so, he ended up in a fit of coughs.

"Do you need a drink, child?" Slade said.

"No, it's not that. See, I thought I was dead because...well, I'm already dying. I'm sick. I wouldn't last very long."

"Boy, with the ability you have, you can never be weak. I don't believe I know your name, child. I don't think it is very appropriate to call you the Boy with Black Fire."

"So that's what you were talking about?" he said. "It's not fire. It's a flame of Shadow, and it's the thing that kills me."

"how very interesting, child. But I see you control it, boy, I know you can and you can use it. Your name if you would, boy."

"My name is Kniyon Coleson. Call me...Nio."

-----------------------------------------------
Well, Maybe I did finish the chapter. I stayed away from Open House instead, heheh, but my brother took the laptop for his own internet use so I typed this in actually three hours! It's not even that long...:crying:

but I hope you enjoy it. we'll be seeing more of Nio and Slade later, and, of course, Trigon himself. Oh, and don't worry about the Shadow flames, you'll see what I mean later.

Nio... what a cool name.

That was a great chapter. I love when Raven's personalities clash. It's so funny! :anime: My favorite line was this:

Was he...dead?
That made me laugh. :) Keep up the great work!

Ciao,

P.S. Sorry about your brother taking the laptop.

Thanks you guys. I'm typing the fifth chapter her right now and I hope I do get to finish the whole chapter, but if not here goes anyway! Things are going to take a turn now.

------------------------------------------------
"Ahhhh! Run!" BB yelled. He had a bunny biting each of his arms, and one right on his bottom. Starfire fired her starbolts at the three bunnies and they evaporated into thin air. "Aw, dude, look!" BB yelled, meaning the hole in his tights. They revealed him wearing his dinosaur boxers. To hide this, he transformed into a REAL dinosaur, his large buddy the Tyrranosaurus Rex.

"C'mon, give me whatcha got!" Cyborg said, shooting down rows and rows of bunnies with his ongoing sonic cannon beam. Starfire helped him with a blast from her eyes, wiping out a hole in the swarm. Robin was fighting the front flank with his small bomb marbles and bird-o-rangs. Beast Boy, angry, swung his tail around and knocked several bunnies flying. A few of them hung onto his tail now.

"Raven, you and your sides go on ahead! We'll hold them off. You need to do what you have to!" Robin yelled, pulling out his freeze-disc and turning a crowd of bunnies into frozen statues. The problem was, as they destroyed bunnies, more appeared in their place. "Go! We'll hold them off!"

"But--"

"Just GO!!!"

Raven gulped, and with Yellow, Green, Grey, and now Pink behind her, they headed to find Brown. Brown Raven was serious. she held serious and haughtiness. "we need to hurry. Once we're all here, we can head back to Yellow's place and get everything else we need, not to mention Orange."

But while they were running there was a sudden earthquake. The place rumbled and shook, and rocks were falling from nowhere from the black sky. the Ravens screamed, dodging and separating. Some of them had gotten shields up by now and others, like the Green Raven, was having fun dodging them. The real Raven was charging on ahead.

"Hatred shall rule." A figure appeared in front of the running Raven, and she skidded to a stop. Raven appeared in red. There were four glowing red eyes peeping out from the blood-red hood.

"Not you," Raven snarled, putting up her hands for a fight. Trigon laughed, and transformed into the big, looming person he was. He reached down with a punch ready, and Raven blocked it with a shield. "Get away from me!"

"IS that the way to speak to me? You are mine, created for destruction. Let Hatred rule you, and leave the others behind!" He seemed to prepare for another attack, but caught Raven off-guard. Instead of attacking her directly, her lashed out at the unsuspecting Green Raven, the one dodging the rocks!

"Watch OUT!" she yelled, but she was too far away. She expected the worst.

But by and by came back to the Yellow Raven, who jumped in to block it. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!" But there was a rapid fire against all the Ravens and they defended one another. Trigon, irritated, brought one final attack in and lashed out at Pink Raven. It was she who he had come this way for in the first place, and he might as well do it there.

He blew all the other Ravens out of hte way with his Demonic Breath and attacked the Pink Raven with his eyebeams. She disappeared when the beams hit, and that was the end of the Pink Raven.

"NOOO!!!!" all of the other Ravens screamed

Okay, yeah I guessed that I had to cut off this chapter, but here's the second part of the chapter.

"No way. NO WAY!" Green Raven screamed. "She just joined us and now she's gone???"

Because Pink Raven was suddenly not there. It was only a few moments before the world of Raven's mind cracked even bigger in the sky, the red crack extending almost to the end of the horizon. It wasnt quite there yet.

"AAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" All the Ravens screamed at once, a searing pain going through each of their minds. It was like before at Yellow Raven's place, only worse if that was possible. They were screaming their heads off, and none of them could concentrate to keep their shields up. Luckily the boulders from nowhere stopped dropping and Trigon was gone. the real Raven could feel her mind splitting down the middle. She could feel the blood leaking out again, and the cut on her forehead was opening again from the earlier healing.

But it was somewhat worse. Unlike when the Orange Raven was destroyed, she felt a whooping, sucking sensation, like she just lost a very big part of her. Suddenly, it was like there was a big hole. There just wasn't...love, in the world. Hatred...Trigon's voice echoed clearer than ever before in her head.

"OH no! What's wrong with us?" Grey Raven cried, sobbing,

"I know, happiness doesn't exist anymore! We are in grave danger. Without happiness and love to fight back hatred, Trigon is breaking through to us...or Raven. I didn't think it was possible...and now the crack is even BIGGER!"

Raven wasn't listening. She was thinking of her friends, her so called friends. What friends were they? Vaguely she saw them happy together, but those images were being replaced by the menacing looks of her friends, hating looks, like when Robin was the Apprentice to Slade, or when she was aguing with BB. Even the happy Starfire had that sneer, fro some age ago she couldn't remember. There was no love in those faces. THere was hate.

But not hating you! a voice said in her mind. IT could very well possibly be one of the Ravens standing beside her. Hating Slade, or despising strangeness. But not hating you!

"And when they argue with me?" she screamed, startling most of the other Ravens. To them she screamed out of nowhere. "When BB screams at me? When he HATES me?"

He doesn't hate you. He just doesn't like fighting with you.

"LIAR!" she screamed to particularly no one.

"Calm down!" Green Raven said. The remaining Ravens were trying to hold her down. "Calm down. We still need to be strong. We still haven't finished..."

***************************
"Nio. Hello, Nio," Slade said.

"Hello, Slade," Nio said. He felt awkward standing next to this strange man, but in an equally strange world he felt close to him somehow. This was the first person who had spoken to him besides his parents in a very, very long time. Except for the occasional baffled nurse or doctor, when they couldn't figure out why such an apparently healthy little boy was dying. "Where are you taking me?"

"Child, I am not taking you anywhere. You are simply following me of your free will. I am your friend. I will not force you to do anything."

"Oh. All right then. All right. Then where do you go?"

"Ah, now that is a good question. Do you happen to know where we are, child?"

"No."

"We are trapped in the mind of a demon girl, Nio. She will destroy the world if we do not stop her. Do you understand?"

"Destroy the world?"

"Yes. It is her destiny to destroy the world. Now we have a chance to stop it. It's called killing two birds with one stone. We can save our world Nio, by killing her. WE are prisoner in her mind. Destroy it and we are free."

"It looks like it's breaking already." Nio pointed at a distant red crack in the sky.

"It still isn't big enough to let us go, Nio," Slade said. "You have the power to save the world. Are you going to help me, or stay here and die?"

"I...I would be honored to help you before my life is over."

----------------------------------------

Okay, so you can sort of see where the trouble can start around things if Slade takes in Nio, right? Nio is a dying kid, dying because of his own supernatural powers. He's vewry alone in the world and he doesn't really know what to do with these powers. Slade is the first person he ever spoke to at all in a long time other than med people, so he certainly never spoke to anyone about maybe using his powers before.

And that makes everything worse. Hope someone likes this chapter!

I know it's been a while, but testing at my school has just started and so I've been a little busy. anyway this is the next section of the story, I'm not sure if I might finish the entire chapter in one go, like before, but i think it should be okay. I hope you guys enjoy it!

Oh, and guess what? This chapter, the Titans meet Nio.
---------------------------------
Chapter 6

"Come on, pull yourself together!" That was grey, green, and yellow Raven all together.

"LET GO OF ME!" Raven roared. "Let go of me or I'll kill you all!" Grey Raven gulped and let go, but the other two refused to.

"I know you're mad, Raven, trust me, I'm you," Yellow Raven panted. "but this isn't the way to bring things down. We need to work together, and the Titans are helping you right now. I know you have your bad times...but don't take your anger out onRaven did them!"

"Yeah, if anyone, take it out on Trigon!" Green Raven interrupted. "He was the one that attacked us!"

"I said GET OFF OF ME!" Raven wrenched herself free from her colored counterparts, and even kicked the green one in the shin, before running off. It was the fastest she had ever run before. She left the other three staring after her.

"Sorry, I was scared," grey Raven trembled, and she burst into tears again.

"Scared?" green Raven howled. She gripped her shin. "Even if it hurts...We all have to be brave!"

"Bravery is your emotion, green," Yellow Raven sniffed.

"So do you think we're going to be in trouble when we tell Robin?" Green Raven asked.

"I know so," came Yellow Raven's reply.

*********

Robin, as it happened to be, had just gone through a running jump in the pink world and caught Starfire as she was struck down. "Starfire, are you okay?"

"I am fine, robin. we must assist the others!" she wailed. Beast Boy and Cyborg were hopelessly trying to fend off the oncoming rabbits.

"dude! There is like, too many! We gotta scramble, robin! Scramble like a bunch of tofu eggs!" Beast Boy yelled right when he changed from a rhino back to his own self.

"We should have held the crowd back long enough by now...Ravens must have escaped, so it's about time we do to!" Robin yelled. So, like Beast Boy put it, they all scrambled like tofu eggs and ran out of the archway.

"Yo, Robin, watch out!" Cyborg yelled. They all ran behind him and Cyborg aimed his sonic cannon at the archway. he fired and the whole thing came crumbling down. "Sorry, Rae," he muttered under his breath. "They would've come after us if we didn't do that."

"So now what are we going to do?" Starfire asked, and everybody naturally turned to Robin. But, as it was one of those rare times, Robin didn't know. He didn't know the terrain, or Raven's mind. They were still basically lost.

"We would back up Raven, if we knew where to go," Robin said meekly. Just then, three figures were rushing towards them. It was the other three Ravens. "Ravens!" he exclaimed.

"Robin! Boy are we glad to see you!" Green Raven said, patting him hard on the back.

"Wait a minute. Where is Raven?" Starfire asked. "And where is Pink Raven?"

"Raven..." and the Green Raven's voice faltered.

"We're sorry," Grey Raven said. "We lost them both. Pink Raven is gone, and Raven ran away from us. It seems that of one of us dies, then Raven loses the emotion we represent."

"Great, another setback. So it isn't as easy as going to find her memory, is it. There's always a setback!" Robin slammed his fist down on a rock. "How will we ever fix something like this?"

"Not to mention the crack got even bigger," Cyborg pointed out, looking at the crack in the sky. It almost touched the horizon now. At least it was giving out some sort of light, even if it was a creepy red color. The color of blood.

"It's hopeless! We're doomed! I'm going to be tortured in Raven's mind forever!" Beast Boy wailed, crumbling to his knees.

"I'm afraid I'll have to contradict you there," said a voice behind the all. (guess who)

"Slade! What the..." robin yelled, and leapt onto his feet, his extendable staff out in a flash. Starfire's eyes glowed and Cyborg lifted his sonic cannon. Beast Boy stood up, prepared. However, Slade just laughed.

"How pathetic. As if you would want to attack me now, when I hold the secret to get out of here." Slade stepped up to them.

"What?" Robin said, and he hesitated.

Slade lashed out with a well aimed kick and struck Robin's hands, making his weapon fling out, off of the bridge-like road they were standing on, out into the darkness. The atmosphere tensed. "Well now, at least I have the peace of speaking with Robin unarmed. We need to talk, man to man," Slade said.

"Talk here, why don't you?" Robin growled. He couldn't believe he had hesitated. "I don't keep any more secrets from my teammates."

"Is that really true, Robin?" Slade asked. "Or another lie to top off your already large pile of them?"

"Why, you...!" Robin raised his arm and was about to punch Slade when all of a sudden a sharp pain shot up his leg and wrapped around his whole body. How could pain wrap around his body like that?

"Don't hit Slade. He knows the way out," said another voice, younger and unfamiliar. A young boy stepped out from the shadows, and his hand was outstretched at Robin. Robin was shocked to see that it looked like it was on fire...but the fire was black. It was as black as Raven's dark magic.

"What are you doing to Robin? Release him!" Starfire cried.

"you get that off of him or I swear I'll attack!" Green Raven hollered from somewhere in the back. there was a trail of the black fire from the boy's arm to Robin, only the trail stopped at Robin's feet.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" said the boy. "My shadow flames have entered his body, under his skin. If you cant tell, he's in tremendous pain right now."

"Nio, let him go. we shouldn't be rude to invade them like this." Nio let go. Slade turned back to the others. "I believe you haven't met Nio. He, along with quite a few others, have been transported from Jump city as well. Only Nio has a special quality to him that I happen to like."

"I know that's his powers, you mean. You don't care a thing about the boy!" Yellow Raven said.

"We're trying to get out of here. Live to see another day," Nio said. He was massaging his arm. Everytime he used the Shadow flames, it hurt.

"So how dy'all propose to do that?" Cyborg said.

"Simple. see that red crack?" Slade said.

"Hard to miss," Green Raven muttered.

"It gets bigger with every Raven that goes. Soon it will stretch to that horizon over there. Raven's mind is not unlimited, it has an end somewhere. Once the crack reaches the end, we will be able to get through." and out of nowhere slade sent a fireball towards the grey Raven who died in a flash.

"What?!" the other Ravens screamed, but they couldn't attack Slade. Nio would have done something, they knew. Slade had them on beck and call. The crack split wider and got closer even to the end.

"What did you do that for?" Starfire said, and began to cry. This was worse than anything they had ever crossed before.

"What makes you think so?" Robin yelled. "You're just looking for an excuse to kill!"

"My dear boy, you should know that is not my style. No, not my style at all. I talk to Trigon, you see, and he knows Raven better than anyone," Slade said. "There, at the end, is the way out. You should be able to see it by now, since three of the Ravens have been eliminated." Illuminated red was an upside-down image of Jump City. It was utterly detailed, down to the tower, to each person walking by and the damage from the winds.

"Dude, I made a big mess!" Beast Boy muttered.

"I won't allow you to kill any more Ravens!" Robin said. "If you're getting out, we'll find another way!"

"Your choice, Robin. Once again I offered to work together, to help you. You should learn respect for me, Robin. I only want the best for you. But if it is your own choice, then so be it. I will leave now, and may your fate be derived, you better hope it's soon. Trigon is on the move." Slade disappeared, but Nio still stood there stock still.

"Why are you still protecting them?" Nio said. "She's destined to destroy the world!" The Ravens shrank back.

"She...they...are our friends, young Nio. You should come with us. Slade is just using you," Starfire said, as soothingly as she could, so that was saying something. But Nio was confused.

"Why do you befriend someone so dangerous? So haphardous to the world?"

"Nio," Robin said. "There are some things you never discover until you're older...but no one is locked by a destiny. It's their choice, and Raven's not evil."

Nio was confused. But like always, when he was confused about something, he ran away from it. He did now, and ran back into the shadows away from the Titans. Hs footsteps echoed behind them, leaving a mark in all the Titans' thoughts.

"He's a good kid," Robin said.

thanks, all of you! I really appreciate the feedback and all, and i got some new readers too which is good. I'm not ready to post chapter 7 yet, sorry, but I've got a review for anyone that wants to read it right now but don't want to read everything from before. I guess it'll help too if you got confused, but it's very summed because I'm a little short on time at the moment!

Story so far:

Beast Boy broke Raven's meditation mirror (from Nevermore, if you don't remember) and now all the titans, as well as some unknown people from Jump City as well are trapped in her mind. The exit gateway is collapsed and Raven's mind is falling apart. A big red crack is in the black sky of her mind. Yellow raven (the smart one) tells them that Trigon has broken free and is wreaking havoc. The more Raven counterparts he kills, the more endangered Raven becomes, because not only is she losing herself, whatever that Raven was protecting Raven loses as well! Also, with every passing destroyed Raven the red crack gets bigger.

The Titans try to gather up all the Ravens, and while so they are joined by Green, Grey, Yellow, and Pink Raven, but Orange Raven was destroyed. The Titans and all the Ravens are separated in a battle against mutilated Rabbits and Trigon appears, destroying the pink Raven. Raven loses her happiness and love, and forgetting about her friends, she runs off on her own. The other Ravens join up to the Titans again and tell what happened.

Meanwhile, a boy named Nio finds himself in Raven's mind. He thinks he is dead, because although he has powers he dubs "shodow flames", it is very dangerous and is eating him from the inside out. Slade, who also is sucked into Raven's mind, finds him. They join together to destroy Raven, but Nio thinks he is doing it for the good and is being brainwashed by Slade.

Slade confronts the Titans with a solution to get out of Raven's mind, and he destroys the Grey Raven to demonstrate. The red crack, he explained, is nearing the horizon and once it does they could step out through the crack. however, in doing so they risk killing Raven in the process and the Titans refuse to abandon their friend. Nio believes that Raven is evil and needs to be destroyed before she sets out to destroy the world, and doesn't understand why the Titans would befriend her. He follows Slade.

And that's as far as it is now. I hope Chapter 7 will bring more light on Raven and Trigon, as well as the progress of Nio and Slade. Keep in tune for later chapters! thanks!

Chapter 7

Raven's footsteps were the only sound for a long way around. Plat-plat-plat, they went, into the darkness and bounding off of the emptiness. Could emptiness even echo back? She didn't stop to wonder. Instead, she was as lost as she could ever be.

In the second Pink Raven had been destroyed, her sense had been throw into utter confusion. what was she here for? She always thought she could find sanctuary in defending her friends and fighting for justice. Now, she thought, "what is the point of friends?" Her heart, without love, was dying and dying fast.

"NO!" she yelled, trying to make sense of things. but not looking where she was going she ran into a field of destradoes. Unknowingly. the instant she stepped foot into the place, the whole of the destradoes turned on her. however, they picked a very bad day to disturb raven.

In a matter of minutes, the whole field lay covered in the dust of the destradoes and stone statues, and Raven was walking away like nothing had happened. Little did she know that she was being watched very closely.

"She is returning to where she should be," trigon laughed, watching. He was blending into the darkness. "Soon she shall be ready to wreak havoc upon this world. Soon, her hatred shall consume her!" Trigon was hiding in the shadows, like any other creature as dark as a demon would. "Hatred...shall rule once more!"

But Raven wasn't ready to kill any world. She was frightened. She remembered, long ago, when she first came to Earth. It was utter havoc; her fears had triggered her powers at unexpected moments, and no one risked getting close to her. she was alone, all alone.

CRACK! The sky split red!

It was like putting a cap over a candle. Instantly her fear vanished, and once again the balance tipped. Fear was destroyed, she had no fear. It was bravery and ruthlessness now, fighting and tugging in her insides back and forth. She was going crazy. Grey raven was dead now too.

She was so disturbed she didn't see the single, tiny ray of light entering from the upside-down reflection of Jump city itself, hidden in the crack.

*************************

Robin and the Titans were on the run too. But none of them were going insane, actually quite the contrary. all of their minds were thinking, and thinking fast.

"Should we split up, robin?" Starfire asked, concerned. "Maybe those of us that can take the skies can go to the edge of the large crack and stop Slade and the boy."

"Dude, I can go with Star," Beast Boy volunteered.

"I don't know. The last time we split up things worked out for the worst. Not only did we not expect Slade, we should have realized that the mirror would have affected the whole city and bring people outside like that nio boy into this."

"But how are we supposed to get to slade in time?" Cyborg demanded. He slapped his hand angrily on a passing rock.

"Maybe I can help," said a voice behind them. To everyone's surprise, the voice belonged to the one and only...

"...Aqualad!" all of the Titans yelled at the same time. "How did you...when did you..."

"You didn't think that only you and bad guys were sucked into this place, did you?" Aqualad said, right when Starfire jumped on him for joy, giving him a very tight hug. "I was swimming around the Tower when it happened. I didn't even know how I got here or where I was until I saw Raven running by. then it hit me."

"Raven? You saw Raven?" Robin exclaimed. He pried Starfire off so that Aqualad could talk better.

"Uh, not exactly," Aqualad admitted. he stepped aside. It was Brown Raven, somewhat bad tempered but she was also Raven's concentration. That was what Brown Raven was good at.

"Long time no see, Brown," Green Raven yelled, slapping her on the back. No matter what Green Raven was still hyper.

"She really needs to learn to grasp the atmosphere," Cyborg muttered to Beast Boy. "Well, howdy."

"I know, you're not happy to see us," yellow Raven muttered, seeing the glare in Brown Raven's eyes. "But this is hardly the time, Brown. I assume that you have noticed?"

"A breakthrough!" BB yelled. "She's assuming for once! She didn't know it!"

"YOU need to learn to grasp the atmosphere," Cyborg growled, grabbing Beast Boy and setting him down. "So brpwn Raven is temper and concentration, right?"

"Which means intense multitasking skills," BB commented.

"That doens't matter," Robin said. "We have a job to do, that is, and we need everyone's help as we know it."

"Well count me in," Aqualad grinned. "I'm all for it...!"

All of a sudden, the ground opened up beneath them and before any of them knew it, they were falling down, down, lwer and lower! Starfire flew down and caught Robin, but when she touched him there was a short electrical shock and Starfire fell unconscious. BB, after that, didn't even try to fly.

"STAR!" Robin yelled. They were falling into eternity and they couldn't stop!

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" they all screamed.
**************************
Nio heard the screams. "Someone's in trouble!" He instinctively stepped back to go and help whoever was calling. It was automatic for him to help.

"NO!" slade grabbed him by the arm. "It's a trap, boy, and you are falling for it. Once you go back, you will be in perilous danger. You can do more good by tracking that witch down and killing her. Then we can both escape her free."

"But..." his voice faded. He shouldn't argue.

Slade knew those voices, of course. He never skipped a beat caring. The place was falling apart, it wasn't a surprise that roads were crumbling where they stood. Best be going towards the exit when nothing could be done anyway.

"The end of the Teen titans is drawing near," slade said, and he laughed. Nio, who didn't hear Slade's last statement, was confused at the laughing. But he didn't say a word, becuase he saw Raven run by.

"There she is!" and in a heartbeat the pair was after her.

Chapter 8

Starfire opened her eyes. she could see nothing, almost as if...no, exactly like she had gone blind. There was no shred of light or anything to see at all. Actually the closest thing that she could possibly compare it to was drifting off to deep space, only without the debri and starlight. Not to mention she could feel the cool earth beneath her palms as she pushed herself in an upright position.

"Robin?" she whispered into the darkness. She heard a voice in the distance. "Robin, is that you?" Unsteadily, she got up on her feet. "robin, please, answer me!"

"...consume..."

"Excuse me?" Starfire muttered. "What did you say?" she lit a starbolt held in her hand, and waved the light around. It didn't help; all she could see was herself and a long way of pitch black.

"Hatred shall consume her, and the destruction of Earth shall begin..."

Starfire wasn't this stupid. She realized who it was. Trigon, demon and terror of many worlds including Tamaran. Trigon, the one who was out to obliviate any world he crossed. Trigon, Raven's father. Trigon was in many tales of tamaran stories too, ones to frighten people. Ones on Skat.

"...her destiny..."

"No! Her destiny can be changed! It is not her destiny to destroy those who she cares for the most!" Starfire's voice sounded shrill, even more so that usual. "She will not harm her friends of her own will. It is her life and she can choose to do what she pleases!"

"...Hatred shall consume you ALL!!" A red clawed hand reached out from nowhere, straight at Starfire, and she screamed, she couldn't do anything about it, she was going to die, her soul was going to be stolen from her just like in all those tales her people had told her...!

"Starfire! Starfire, wake up!"

"She finally came around?"

"Man, she's screamed herself out. Bring some water, she's sweating like a pig!"

For real, Starfire opened her eyes. It was still dark, but this time her friends were around her. She could see Robin over her, his hands on her shoulders trying to make her sit up and drink the water.

"Just so you know, Cy, pigs don't sweat," Beast Boy remarked.

"What is happening?" starfire gasped. "Where are we?"

"I'm not sure," robin said. "We all fell down that pit, but amazingly something slowed us down before we would have slammed into the ground. you were passed out, but everyone else seemed fine."

"We woulda died for sure if we didn't slow down. That was at least a sixty second drop!" Cyborg added.

"And what of Raven? Have we done anything to help her, or defeat Trigon?" Star asked.

"Actually we're pretty isolated. no one can find a way out," robin replied.

"Wrong," said a voice behind them. It was Aqualad, dripping wet and grinning. "I went for a dive in the lake and found some giant squid at the bottom. they tell me that there's a deep-sea trench that opens up through another side, and if we can swim for about ten minutes without a breath, we should be okay."

"Ten...ten minutes?" Cyborg choked.

"In case you've forgotten, we all can't breathe underwater like you can," Robin said, even more glum than before.

"hey, I'm thinking that the Ravens can hold a spell that long. They'll create a sphere around themselves and one of you, and bring them across. BB and I can swim. There's only one more thing," Aqualad said.

"What?"

"The other side is where Trigon's prison used to be."

"That should be no problem. He broke out a while ago."

"No. but there's only one exit out of there, and that's through a lava pit that's about two miles wide. And beyond that, even more obstacles..."

-----------------------------------
(the second half of) Chapter 8

"Stop right there, now, Raven."

"What? WHO'S THERE?" Raven yelled, whirling about. Slade had caught up to her, and a boy she did not recognize was standing next to him. "Ah. Slade," she said. She sneered at him, and she hated him. "You found yourself another apprentice, have you? A little boy?"

"Say whatever you like. My goal here is not to gather up old acquaintances or apprentices. Rather, I would prefer to escape this horror of your mind. Even if my master should rather I stay here...however, if I do not leave, it would have been in vain. Not only would I die but I would fail, as you would fall with me and the prophecy be felled."

"Speaking out in the open with the new boy?" Raven said.

"I have nothing to hide from him. Soon enough, he won't be able to know left from right. I have been taking his essence ever since I found him, near dead, in the corner of your mind. Soon enough, all he will know is what I tell him. Look, the effect has already begun to hold."

Raven looked. Slade was right, the boy's eyes slid sideways, not seeing her standing in front of him.

"Whatever," Raven spat. Slade looked surprised; but then again, Trigon did inform him that Raven's once loving side was now no longer in existence. This seemed to prove the point. "Get out of my way, I have some family matters to deal with!"

"And if I refuse?"

"You won't," Raven said, and she used her powers, stronger all of a sudden, by her deep emotion of hatred. With a flick of her hand, Slade was flung to the side and over the edge of the walkway, a few fingers barely managing to latch on before falling over. The boy just stood there, and was no problem. She sidestepped him and went her way.

Slade pulled himself up with his inhuman strength. "Hm. Things are going...rather well."

Raven forgot about Slade immediately. First, she decided, she was going to go to Yellow Raven's place and merge herself with the already-eliminated Ravens. Second, she would track her own friends down, and merge with the rest of the Ravens.

And if anyone got in her way, even the Titans, they had just condemned themselves to a very, painful death.

Well, I said that I'd read this, so read it I have. And I'm very impressed!:anime: :anime: :anime: :anime: :anime:

Even though Raven's mind has featured in various fics, this is the first time that I've ever seen a fic set entirely in that decidedly unique location. Your depictions of all of the different Ravens and their interactions with each other (including the real Raven's dislike of her Emotions: quite a cool touch, and one that does make a certain logical sense) are absolutely spot on, and if anything that is what makes this so good. Oh, and the moment Slade and Trigon are added to a story, things just get instantly badass.

I'm curious to see if you can provide a happy ending to all this tragedy: even if you can't, I'll still keep reading!:anime: :anime: :anime:

------------------------------------
Chapter 9

"Who wants to go first?"

The Titans, with the exception of the lost Raven, were lined up. Beast Boy and Aqualad were standing next to each other, as they could swim. Yellow Raven and Robin were paired and standing next to Green Raven and Starfire.

"Aw, man! Why do I gotta go with her??" Cyborg said, glancing at the grumpy brown Raven.

"Hm? I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that," Brown Raven said.

"Actually, Cy, you'd probably be very, very safe with her. After all, she is concentration, and all the Ravens have to hold out for at least ten minutes under there in a sphere big enough to hold enough oxygen for two people," Robin said.

"Yep," Aqualad said. He was thinking. "I think a sphere of about ten feet in diameter should be fine. Remember, if we can't do this, there's no where in that tunnel to come up for air."

"I know," Yellow Raven said.

"Then let's do this," Green Raven said. "Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos!"

Consecutively, the Ravens had the spheres build around them and their partners. Aqualad and Beast Boy rolled the spheres into the water. Then Aqualad jumped in, followed by Beast Boy at last, as a dolphin.

It was dark as they got in deeper. The Ravens propelled themselves forward. Aqualad took the lead, since he was the one that explored the water and knew where the tunnel was. It was dark, and the murky depth was very quiet.

There's the tunnel. It was Aqualad's voice, through telepathy. He lashed out his legs and propelled forward. We won't fit side by side, so we'll have to line up. I'll go first. He swam in. Starfire and Green Raven went next, and Cyborg and Brown Raven. Robin and Yellow Raven came in after and Beast Boy took the end. No one in the bubbles spoke; they were taking up a lot of oxygen just breathing, it was a big waster to talk.

They were crawling at a snails pace. Robin could see the black and white outlines of their surroundings through the sphere of magic. He was quite distracted, until he looked back and saw a huge squid-like thing swimming behind them, approaching Beast Boy's dolphin figure, hundreds of tentacles reaching out...!

"BEAST BOY!" Robin yelled, forgetting about air.

The Dolphin swerved around, and just in time, swerved to the side to avoid getting caught. The tunnel was too narrow; Beast Boy's more powerful underwater animals wouldn't be able to fit, like the Blue whale, or the Killer Whale. He attempted the shark, but it was too tight around the middle to swerve quickly, and settled with swordfish.

"NO!" Yellow Raven yelled when Robin tried to force his way out of the bubble. "I know he needs our help, but we can't, we'll end up dying ourselves! I know it hasn't even been five minutes yet!"

The giant squid thing jutted the green swordfish with claws that had just come out of nowhere from its squishy middle. It was trying to run Beast Boy through! Robin knew Beast Boy couldn't handle this on his own...

The squid managed to wrap about twenty of its tentacles around Beast Boy, who squirmed and became a tiny goldfish, swimming out of reach. THen he resumed the swordfish form. The squid was coming for him again with a blur whisked by, and caught the squid right at the soft underside.

"Aqualad," Robin breathed. Aqualad was distracting it, and Beast Boy understood. He was coming in as a goldfish this time, but on the attack, not defensive. It dodged tentacles that were rushing for Aqualad, who was doing the best he could to avoid it.

Then BB reached the body of the squid and leaning close to it transformed into the swordfish. As he grew, the long fish nose pierced the soft flesh and it went crazy. Forgetting its prey, too dangerous for the trouble, it scampered back to the other side of the lake.

Beast Boy resumed his dolphin and went his way, nodding at Aqualad, who swam under the black bubbles to get to the front. Robin breathed a sigh of relief. And then he choked. And then Yellow Raven choked.

They couldn't say anything either. It was obvious. They were out of air!

From the other bubble, Cyborg blinked when he saw the third bubble falter, like it blinked. Then it blinked again, and the inside was beginning to fill with water. Robin was floating in it, apparently knocked out. Yellow Raven could barely hold herself. She too, passed out. Cyborg's human eye widened with horror.

He rammed his fist on the side of the bubble to get BB's attention. Two of them were drowning! He looked at his clock in his arm. Just eighty three seconds more and they were there! Come on! But he didn't make the mistake of talking.

Beast Boy swooped down and carried the two of them, and a little over a minute later, they all surfaced. Quickly the bubbles were let down, and the Ravens all collapsed in relief. Fresh air! Beast Boy popped up with their two friends and lay them down on the ground.

Quickly they were trying to perform CPR and who knew what on them, trying to get them to breathe and cough out all that nasty water they had inhaled while they were in the water. No, they couldn't die!

Robin coughed. Water spurted out of his nose and mouth, and he coughed and coughed. "Ugh," he said, rolling to the side and more water came out. THey didn't even know a person could cough so much water.

Yellow Raven coughed too, but it was a different kind of cough...weak, water spurted out too, but they couldn't bring breath back. "What is wrong?" Starfire wailed. "No!" Yellow Raven looked up. Her hood was down, and she looked...different. Something had happened to her lungs. THey didn't know what.

Robin sat stark up and ran over. "NO! You can't die too!" He tried to sit her up and make her cough. The other Ravens howled when the throbbing pain began to pulse through their heads.

"She must've..." Cyborg's voice faded.

"I know...tried too hard...no air...no air..." Yellow Raven coughed again, and then she disappeared. Evaporated in Robin's hands, into nothingness. Once again, the sky cracked, the sky that had come into view too late for Raven. A sky that would never look the same again.

****************************
Raven reached the Yellow Raven's place without a problem. She kicked down the doorway to her guarded memories of her friends. "Hm. Unguarded. Looks like she didn't make it this far, either," Raven smirked. When they died, she felt none of that pain anymore. They were the past; she only needed them for power.

She levitated down the stairwell, it was much faster. Down there, it was utter darkness, but there were whispers, whispers of voices that had died long ago and others newborn fresh. She approached a wall, lined with bottles. Inside each was a swirling mass of color. She grabbed a few that were darker than others and cracked them open.

The figures of the Orange, Pink, Yellow, Purple, and Grey Ravens appeared. Raven took a look at the other bottles. "Hm. Two that are still glowing...that must mean they're still alive." She didn't care though, she broke them open anyway, and absorbed the energy. Then she turned to the Ravens standing there and merged with them.

When she stepped out, she was no longer a Raven the Titans knew. She was living up to her demon part, and she swung her white cloak out of the stairwell and ready to confront her father.

All right, readers! The weekend has come, and maybe a whole grip of you are off on vacation since for some of us it's already summer and for others it's the three day weekend, but for me it's a free day before I leave to Las Vegas, Nevada and Chapter 10 is right here!

------------------------------
Chapter 10

There were voices in his head that didn’t belong there. They spoke to him, dripping with a mix of flattery and command, and never straightforward. It was irresistible. The voice was his…friend?

“Keep up, boy, we’ve no time to lose. The sooner we escape, the better.” Nio stumbled along. For some reason, he felt almost as if his legs were moving on their own without him. What nonsense. The words of the Titans had to have gotten to his head. But what if they weren’t lying? Slade…he never knew much about this shadowy person. But there was a piece of the puzzle missing and he hadn’t found it yet.

“The Destructor, the Witch; aren’t we going to save the Earth?” Nio asked suspiciously. “She’s still running around free.” He needed to test this man. He had no idea he was slowly going under the madman’s control.

“Of course. But she isn’t running free, she is running insane inside her own mind. Our job is done. She shall be the cause of her own destruction, Nio, and we shall get out of here and do to the world what it deserves.”

“Ah.” Nio wasn’t quite convinced.

“Believe what I say. It is the only truth you will find.” Instantly, that was the case. Subconsciously, Nio was shocked. This couldn’t be happening. No. “Now faster, my boy. Our time is short.” And he did.

Whether he liked it or not.

----------------------------------------

The titans, the remaining Ravens, and Aqualad were walking down a narrow shaft. “Leads straight to the dungeon. Remind me again why we’re going there?” That was Cyborg, of course. His arm was raised to his scanners, which was creating a diagram as they walked on.

“Because if my guess is right, it means that Trigon must have busted out of here. And from what I heard, Trigon is a pretty big guy. Which means he must have left a pretty big hole when he broke loose,” Robin said.

“Makes sense,” Brown Raven commented.

“So when do we get to kick his butt?” Green Raven asked, who was annoyed that she wasn’t getting to lead the way. The Titans were taking ultra super care now; the Green and Brown Ravens were forced to stay in the middle while Robin and Cyborg led the way. Starfire stood near the Ravens. Beast Boy and Aqualad made up the rear.

“When we get out of here,” Brown Raven replied. Green Raven, knowing her temper, shut up.

Beast Boy was looking from one of them to the other when suddenly something ahead drew his attention. It drew everyone’s attention. “Whoa. Check it out, dudes. That is one big donut hole.”

Indeed it was a “big donut hole”. The great hole in front of them, about fifteen feet in diameter, stretched in front of them. It had been crudely broken. On the floor, crashed onto the floor, was the section of wall that had been knocked down.

“Now where did Trigon get this kind of power?” Aqualad asked interestedly.

“That’s for me to know and you to find out. Welcome, Titans. I hope you find you’re stay not too depressing.”

“Trigon.” All of them said it together.

“Hahaha. Of course it is!”

“What are you planning Trigon? What do you want?” Robin yelled to the air.

“Isn’t that obvious? Raven. She is my daughter, isn’t she? She will be the one, the one to do It.” And that was it. Robin gave another yell. There was no response. They didn’t even need to ask what It was. It was obviously horrible enough. The Titans exchanged looks.

“Well, no doubt about it. Trigon’s breaking hell now,” Cyborg said. “Dang.”

“Come on, we’ve got a friend to save!” Beast Boy yelled, and he broke formation, running through his donut hole. The other titans followed. With this pathway they managed to avoid many of the obstacles.

------------------------------------------------------

Slade saw the crack. It was right in front of his face. He was almost free. Then the voice called. “Where are you going, Slade?”

Slade was shocked. “Master.”

“Are you leaving me? So soon?” Trigon’s voice seemed to sneer. “Are you betraying me, servant? When I need you to for my bidding? You owe me, human, and you know it.”

Slade did not like debts. He did not like staying here either. Staying would mean certainty of death. However, not obeying was also certainty of death. He had gone through that process before, and it was not pleasant. “I am here, master,” Slade said. Nio wriggled next to him. He was trying to break the bond.

“That is good, human. You are not to abandon Raven. You were supposed to get rid of the necessary good parts. You were supposed to leave her hatred, and vengeful feelings. But you messed things up.”

“I am sorry, Master.”

“Sorry isn’t good enough. We have a change of plan now…”

----------------------------------------------------------

Today I've got two large projects due so I just wanted to tell you guys. Chapter 11 will not be up until after saturday at least, I may be able to do it on Sunday but it's not for sure. If you haven't read the last few chapters, and is behind, this is a good time to read and post before the next chapter is up.

Um, has someone already thought of this on another fic or something that I'm not aware of??? Or does this just plain suck? Becuase if it does, I'll gladly accept the feedback and stop writing it.
Nonsense, its a great fic Reket, the idea is awesome, i've seen it used many times, indeed, i used this idea myself before :D and may again ;)

nice to see this tie in with the season four arc, with slade being trigon's branded b*tch and all :) LOL i just wanted to call slade that for once.

Yeah, changing plans can only lead to more trouble. But thata why I'm reading this... I like trouble!:D So this is moving along nicely. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter... Will slade kill off the other Ravens? Will Nio see the error of his ways? Will I live to see the next chapter? Yeah, we got some questions here! So when you get a chance, give us some more!

Okay! The really really long awaited Chapter 11 is finally here!! A lot of Titans in the beginning, then some action on Raven on the second half. I think this is a pretty good chapter, and I hope you enjoy it! The ending is coming soon, by the way.

-------------------------------
Chapter 11

The main group of the Titans were rushing themselves through the empty gateway and through darkness, not even sure of where they were going. They were blindly trying to track down Raven.

“Man, my tracker still says we’re all in TitansTower,” Cyborg said, checking for the millionth time. Beast Boy, who was flying overhead with Starfire, squawked.

Starfire nodded. “Yes, there is a building ahead. I am not sure where it leads to, but it is to the left a little bit.”

“Does it look broken down, with shattered windows, black shutters, and a shingled roof full of holes?” That was Brown Raven, who was levitating with the Green Raven right underneath the flying pair and above the running guys.

“Indeed.”

“That’s Yellow Raven’s house.”

“What?” all the Titans said at the same time. “We’ve been there before; it looks nothing like that!” Robin said.

“Yes, but that was before Trigon attacked. Do you notice anything?” She pointed down, alongside the road. Lined there were wilted flowers, darkened by age, but nevertheless yellow. They were hanging by a thread to blackened stems. Yellow, the trademark.

“Does that mean we’ve been going around in circles?” Cyborg pointed out. No one answered him. It wasn’t necessary.

“We should stop by there anyway. We might find something useful, anything…” Robin said, thinking that because they had absolutely nothing. Aqualad agreed, and the rest of them followed. The house was dark now, deserted. The door had been forcibly kicked down. Beast Boy, walking along, noticed something on the ground.

“Hey look. Prints! And they look like Raven’s, too!” He followed them.

“But what if they were left there from the last time we came here?” Aqualad asked.

Beast Boy pointed. “We didn’t go in there when we were here. It leads to that door.” The door was busted open too. The pair of Ravens gasped. The Titans and Aqualad looked over at them.

“That’s her basement,” said Green Raven. “No one goes in her basement. That’s where she saves what she protects. The memories of good is stored in there.”

“Well, it looks like Raven needed something down there, and I’m going to find out what,” Beast Boy said, which surprised a lot of people. But they all went down there, long steps echoing through the silence. It was dark, of course; Cyborg and Starfire were taking the end and the lead to provide the light. Finally they reached ground. There they heard the whispers, whispering again after a disturbance not so long ago.

“This is really, really creeping me out,” BB said after a while of ghastly whispering. There was a moment of silence, as if the whisperers were offended at the interruption. The group trudged along, the walkway becoming narrower because along the way there lined tables and tables full of jars, some labeled, others peeling, and many forgotten. Broken glass littered the floor.

“People,” Green Raven said, pointing at bottles. “These are the memory essence of people that Raven has known. Look, there’s you.” She pointed to a full row of jars on a shelf, freshly labeled “Teen Titans.” There was a red color swirling in Robin’s jar, green for BB, blue for Cyborg, and a bright yellow for Starfire. Nearby, there was a shelf labeled “Titans East” and there Aqualad was amused to see that his color was silver, not blue.

“Hey, I found out what she was looking for,” Brown Raven said, the only one concentrating on finding out. She pointed to the shelf where her bottle, as well as all the other Raven’s bottles, should have been lined up. Sharp bits of glass was on the floor, but the shelf was empty.

Robin ran up to her and inspected the shelf. “How does it work?”

“Well, if you release the essence inside the bottle, then the essence will solidify into a presence of the real person,” Brown Raven explained. Robin nodded, a glint in his eye, although the others couldn’t see it beneath his mask.

“I’ve got an idea.”

--------------------------------------

Raven was glowing with strange power. This is what it’s all about, she thought, smiling to herself. She could feel a life form nearby and was heading for it. It was a good time to test her powers. It was all dark with the exception of the large crack still looming overhead. She would be out soon.

The life form fluttered further away. Oh well. She was sure she would find someone at the base of the crack, the end of the dark rainbow, where the pot of gold was a life back in the city. It was everyone’s destination, she assumed, because it was the only way out. It was her mind, she knew. She strolled over and stepped from behind a few hills that were blocking her view. There it was, a sliver of the exit.

Just then, Slade stepped out of the shadows. “Hello, Raven. How very good to see you,” he said. Raven scowled at him. “Naughty, naughty. You shouldn’t treat guests like that. After all, this is where your thoughts dwell.”

“Shut up, Slade, or I’ll wrench your head from the rest of you,” Raven said.

“Hm. Then I will get down to business. You know I can’t kill you. You have your purpose. My master still needs you,” Slade said. “You still have your destiny to fulfill.” Out from behind him was a struggling Nio. Nio was scared. He was thinking of what had happened just a few minutes ago.

Trigon had showed up to Slade, and told him to capture Raven, to leech out all of Raven’s absorbed sides and destroy them once and for all. Then Slade would have to make sure she absorbed the hidden emotions that she had locked with Trigon: hatred, anger, and suffering. Slade was to do this, and his freedom was promised.

“Nio, it’s time to do what we’ve been talking about. We will leech this witch of her power,” Slade said, and without warning he hurled a fireball at the girl. She flung up her shield in time, but because she was not present when Nio had demonstrated his powers to the Titans, she was unprepared for what came next. A black fireball pelted towards her, and she outstretched her shield, but the flame shot past the shield, just went straight through like a penny through a fountain spray. It hit her full in the stomach and she was flung back.

“What the…” she extended an arm, a talon escaping and headed towards the boy, but Nio rolled to the side expertly and this time, the flame extended from his arm as a rope and wrapped around the talon, then tightening and shattering the black magic.

“He’s a good boy, isn’t he?” Slade said, looking devilish in his eye. In a flash too fast for the human eye, he was up in Raven’s face. It was too fast before Raven felt Slade push his hand on her stomach. She felt something seem to explode inside of her, and the next second, screams were echoing inside her head.

“Argh! What did you do to me?” Raven said. She staggered back.

“Why nothing,” Slade said. She threw a large hunk of rock at Slade, but he sunk into the ground.

“You should know better than to attack me like that,” Slade said from behind her. She swung around, and Nio wrapped her with his binding rope of black fire.

“Never take on an unknown enemy,” Slade said, at her left. She twisted her head. There was Slade. She looked ahead. There was Slade too. Two Slades. One. Two. Slade on the left laughed. “You want to know what I did to you?”

Slade in the front answered the question. “I have inserted Hatred, Anger, and Suffering back to you. They are fighting with the rest of you, killing Happiness, killing your Hope. You have lost, Raven.”

The other Slade echoed him. “You have lost.”

Chapter 12

Huff Huff Huff. "Come on, guys, it's not that far away!"

Huff Huff Huff. "Around the corner, you guys!"

Huff Huff Huff. The Titans were running as fast as they could to the flash of light. Because there was a flash. A few minutes ago they were in the basement, where they were last. And as Robin sprung up with his idea, there was a sudden earthquake down under and they all had to haul themselves out before the place collapsed on them.

As they exited, and Starfire came out first, there was a blinding flash of light located at the end of the rainbow--or rather, at the end of the red ugly crack in the sky. So now they were headed there.

THe titans turned the corner, never stopping, never resting. Raven was there, they knew it. They heard the sound of laughter. "You have lost." That was...Slade?

"Freeze!" Robin yelled as he rounded the next corner, and he found himself facing the back of Slade. Slade turned around just as the Titans heard a scream coming from behind.

"Hello Robin. Fancy meeting you again so soon," Slade said. "Maybe you should be the one to...chill." And suddenly, Robin went rigid. His face, red from running, began to pale. Literally, he was freezing. Starfire flew over, aghast.

"Robin!" She grabbed his hand, only to find it...turned to stone! He was beginning to harden. And the stone, spreading like a plaque, was going from Robin's hand to Starfire's, and she found herself not being able to let go. Beast Boy screamed out loud. Slade laughed as both of them became statues, combined together.

"Let them go, they've nothing to do with this!" Raven's voice, filled with pain, yelled from the background. Nio, who was standing there, was still holding Raven at bay.

"Like I've said before, my dear, you shouldn't have dragged them into this," Slade said. "Whatever happens to them is your own fault entirely."

"Wrong!" Aqualad said. "It's your fault, you and that stupid demon!" He began to walk up, clenching his fists, but Cyborg held him back. No one else was going to find themselves as lawn decor.

"Smart move," Slade said to Cyborg. As he was going to turn around again, the two Ravens appeared. He was startled for a moment. Before he could do anything, Raven took action.

In an instant, the two remaining Ravens sighed, letting go as Raven absorbed them. Two sides she needed most to break this black fire prison: concentration, and bravery and strength. She growled, and broke free of the hold. But that wasn't the only thing that happened. Slade stepped out from behind the bushes...the other Slade, that is. The two Slades chuckled accordingly.

"You think you have won, Titans?" Slade 1 mocked. "How wrong you are."

"You won't be stopping us anymore!" Once again, Slade was taken back. That was Robin's voice! "It's over, Slade!" Out from behind the turn, stepped a whole mass of people: Mas and Menos, Bumblebee, Speedy, Wildebeest, Hot Spot, and more surprisingly, the duplicates of Aqualad, Beast Boy, Cyborg, and last but not least, Robin and Starfire. More and more the heroes and heroines lined up to face the two Slades and Nio. Realization hit Slade almost immediately. They had taken heroes from Raven's memory.

"Smart move, Robin," Slade 2 sneered. "But not good enough. Robin, I would have thought that you would remember this. You see, Raven has memories of her enemies too. And Raven herself is beginning to accept her destiny." And from nowhere appeared all the villains the Titans have ever faced, lined up, including Jinx, Mammoth, Brother Blood, and more. Even Red X was standing there.

Starfire looked at herself and Robin frozen in stone. "We knew it was to happen." She looked up at Slade. "So we also have another pair of people with us." Robin smiled menacingly at Slade.

Then out stepped two people Slade would never had expected to see: Arella, and Raven herself.

Chapter 13

Arella, and Raven herself. White Raven, standing behind Nio, was screaming in pain. This Raven was calm, resolved. She was holding Arella's hand. She was wearing Raven's original dark blue cloak. She was pure Raven.

"You think that would stop my master?" Slade hissed. "You think you can stop us?" He powered up a ball of fire, and threw it at Robin, who leapt aside. Taking that as a signal for attack, both roaring sides clashed.

BOOM. The sound of the collison of water, fire, power, technology, wind, metal, electricity, and magical energy. BOOM. The sound of good and evil, love and hatred, friends and enemies. BOOM! The sound of the battle on Raven's life. Two Aqualads, leading the Titans East, and Two Cyborgs attacked Brother Blood and his HIVE students. Red X, two Slades, and Nio fought Robin, Starfire, Hot Spot, Wildebeast, and Beast Boy.

Blue Raven led Arella through the chaos to White Raven, who was still greiving in her pain. "My daughter," Arella said softly. White Raven looked up, but not with Raven's eyes. They were red, glowing evilly, and she was laughing. "It's too late, mother. You're too late." And she attacked Arella, only to have Blue Raven interfere the attack.

"What are you doing?" Raven said. "That's not how you act. That's not what Raven does."

"Step aside, you weak image of me," White Raven snarled, being consumed by her hatred and her pain. "There's not enough room in this world for two of us."

"Of course not," Blue Raven said calmly. "I am you. We are all a part of you. You have forgotten us. You're destroying yourself without us. You have forgotten friendship, Raven."

"And you have lost your hope," Arella said, letting go of Blue Raven, and stepping towards White Raven.

"STAY BACK," White Raven said, scared all of a sudden. What was wrong? She had chosen her path. She had accepted her destiny. And now there was another force telling her something...the force of friendship and trust and hope. Then her head erupted with a band of voices.

"Raven! Can you hear us?" said the voices. "We're the Ravens that you combined with. Did you think you could take the power of all of us just like that? We gave you your powers to defend what you care about the most. We're here, not to make you a killer. We're here to help you protect those that you care about."

"STOP IT!" Raven yelled. She dropped to her knees. "Stop this..." and with a huge burst of energy she threw a huge boulder at Arella and Blue Raven. The two of them were caught off guard, and gasped as the huge thing came upon their heads...and then they suddenly disappeared from where they stood, the rock crashing into the ground.

*****************
Robin panted as he fought Slade again. He never thought it would go again like this, only there were two of them this time. But he had Starfire at his side. Starfire was having flashbacks of that nightmare...

"Hatred shall consume her, and the destruction of Earth shall begin..."

She had to concentrate on the fight, but her nightmare was becoming true. The red claw that was reaching for her in the dream, the red claw...

"AHHHHHH!!!!" she screamed. There was a red claw reaching through the crack, along with that sound of laughter. Trigon's claws reached down and shattered the statue of Robin and Starfire.

Aqualad saw, too, as his duplicate memory attacked Brother Blood. Brother Blood was as he was when he faced Cyborg. Both Cyborgs fought valiantly with him, one with the Brother Blood and the other with Gizmo. Jinx, spreading the bad luck everywhere she went, fought with Bumblebee and Mas y Menos. Her bad-luck blasts were having a hard time finding those super-fast twins. The claw swiped amazingly close to him, but not hitting him as he jumped away.

"The Demon is here!" he yelled, just as Mammoth clobbered him on the head. Speedy came in and shot Mammoth with an exploding arrow.

Nio looked up. So that was Slade's master. A demon. Everything was wrong. His life had been turned upside down ever since he had woken up presumably dead in this crazed world. Slade, and the Teen Titans. Demons and Saviors. Heroes and Villains. It was all too much for him.

He ducked as Wildebeast lunged at him, and blocked Hot Spot's weak attempts at an attack. He threw a rope of black fire at Wildebeast and tied him around, squeezing the life out of him. Next to him was Terra, fighting herself, ironically. One was the friend, the happy girl that loved Beast Boy and fought with the Titans. The other was Slade's apprentice, lost and confused, and hating the world.

This was the fight, and Raven was struggling with herself in the background. She couldn't take it anymore. Trigon's appeared in the sky. "Raven, are you ready?" She heard him and hesitated. "Raven..."

"Yes, I am."

YAY! the next chapter is here!! This is the beginning of my last few chapters. The story will end very soon...this is a completely different view of Raven as Trigon's portal from "The End" but then again I started before I knew what was happening with those last episodes, so...
-------------------------------
Chapter 14

Raven stopped a while ago hearing the battles between her friends and enemies around her.

"Raven, are you ready?" Trigon breathed, hanging from the sky at the edge of the crack. She looked up. She could see Jump City still. She was going to help destroy it, even if she liked it or not. She told herself that. It was time. She and her friends would die in her mind, and soon after so would the rest of the blue, third planet from that medium-sized star.

"Yes, I am." Trigon burst out laughing from joy, laughing his head off as he dissolved from the sky and appeared in a red Raven form behind the white-cloaked Raven. He was laughing still as Raven's powers opened herself as the portal. Trigon would be the only one escaping from this deadly hell of her mind, Raven being the doorway no one else could get through.

Beast Boy charged down one of the Slades and slashed his tiger claws at him, knocking Slade down. This was all his fault. He was the one that had broken that mirror. How long had they been missing? How long had they wandered in Raven's broken mind? It seemed like years.

He looked up and gasped. "Raven, no!" He ran over as Raven was lifted into the sky. All around them, all of a sudden, the villains as well as the duplicated heroes were popping out of existence. Raven was killing herself. When that happened, then the memories went down with her. And since all of them were created out of memories... "RAVEN!!!"

Both Terras popped out of existence. So did an Aqualad, and the Slade BB had slashed. Robin and Starfire's statues dissolved and melted into the ground. The real Robin ran up to Raven. "Stop it, Raven! You don't know what you're doing!" He reached up to her, but an electric bolt shot out of nowhere and he was flung high into the sky. Starfire swooped up and caught him.

Raven paid no heed to all those screams around. This was what she had been born for..."RAVEN!" What? Where had that voice come from? Out of all those muddled voices around here, this one stood out in her mind.

Inside her mind. "Raven, it is I. Arella."

"Mother!?" she thought.

"Yes. You have lost hope, my dear, in fighting back your inner demons. If your colored sides represent one side of you, accept me as your representation of Hope, Raven. you are lending a hand in destroying a world. Do you realize that?"

"Mother..." Raven felt a sharp pain shoot through her arm. She opened her eyes. A black, dancing rope of fire was wrapping itself around her arm. The electric bolts were attacking it, but it didn't let go. Her eyes followed the rope down to its owner...Nio.

"You!" Trigon/Red Raven snarled. Nio was pulling Raven down with all of his strength that he could muster from his small, light frame. Raven looked behind her. Slade, the one controlling Nio, had been knocked unconscious.

"I thought I was dead," Nio gritted his teeth. "I thought I had been given a chance to save the world when I awoke here. But Slade took me, and he used me." He pulled harder. "I won't let you destroy Earth, witch. You may be dangerous...but it's not you. It's the demon inside of you." And he yelled out, and pulled, and Raven fell through and collapsed onto the ground. Trigon growled and roared and charged at Nio, scraping him with a taloned hand.

Raven found it hard to breathe. BB ran over. "Raven!" He raised her head. Her eyes fluttered open.

"No...He's going to kill us..." Raven moaned. BB looked up at the Red Raven. He remembered the last time he had seen this person, and it was not a good memory. "My father...I was his portal..."

Robin and Starfire came over as well. Cyborg came running up after them. They were all around Raven, talking and helping her up to her feet.

Arella's voice came in again. "Your friends are with you,. Your enemies have lost control of you. Do you really want to lose the ones you love? Do you want to sacrifice what is good and do the easy thing, giving into evil? You are good, Raven. I am your mother. You were not born for a portal. You are my daughter. I was the one who gave you life.

"I raised you to be someone that protects what is important to you, and never give in to this malice."

Arella's words opened up Raven's eyes. She was her daughter...Arella had given birth to her, but her powers were raised for good, not evil. "Thank you, mother," Raven said.

Meanwhile, Nio and Trigon were facing each other. "You fool," Trigon laughed. "So you want to die?"

"We will all die anyway, sooner or later," Nio said smoothly. "I have been expecting it sooner all my life. It's about time I stopped fearing it. It's coming, and I can't stop it. Might as well do something worthwhile!"

Trigon laughed, and attacked him. Nio angrily blocked with a cloud of black fire, and sent a counter-attack. Trigon flicked it away easily. Then Nio gasped; he clutched his heart and dropped to a knee. Suddenly he felt as if something was constricting it...his sickness had struck again.

Robin leapt in front of the boy. He pulled out his staff. "You're a good kid, boy," Robin said. "You'd do good in the world. I respect that." The rest of the team got up and stood next to Robin, between Nio and Trigon.

Trigon looked at each of the Titans accordingly with his four red eyes. "This will be entertaining," said Trigon. "I will destroy you all, take my portal and open it by force if necessary. IT doesn't matter to me."

"Wrong," said a voice. Everyone turned. It was Slade. He disappeared and reappeared behind Raven, and before anyone could act, he held her in a vice-like grip. "Anyone move and I kill her. You have left me there, Trigon," he scowled. "You refused to give me my reward. Now if you do not give it to me, or if any of you attack me, I will destroy your precious friend and portal!"

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh!

Okay, I guess we're supposed to know that Trigon turned on Slade because that's how it went in the series. Did I miss it, or did you leave that part out for us to figure out on our own?

Only issue with this chapter. Otherwise, it was a great read. And now we have Slade threatening Trigon by threatening Raven. Which is SO Slade! I like the idea of everyone disappearing as Raven starts to accept who and what she is. It's creates something kinda eerie that I found quite entertaining.

Hope you post your next chapter soon :)

Oh, whoops. I assumed you would think so. I always thought that Trigon would never give Slade what he wanted since the first time I found out about his master and stuff.

Thanks! I really love cliffies. I often look for cliffies when I read, I think they make a story better.

I ended sooner than I expected. This is the LAST chapter everyone! It's gone a long way, I think, and it's finally coming to a close. I wish I could have gone deeper, but it's a little late for that now, so enjoy the ending while you can, I hope it isn't too predicatable. Oh, and enjoy The End episodes, by the way. I'll see you in another fic I hope. Keep reading!

Chapter 15:A Last Memory

"Now if you do not give it to me, or if any of you attack me, I will destroy your precious friend and portal!" Slade hissed.

Trigon and the Titans froze. Raven gasped for air.

"Give it back to me, Trigon," he sneered. "And give me free passage out of here. And then I will give you your portal again. And if you don't..." he pulled tighter on Raven's neck.

"Slade, you evil..." Robin growled, but Slade just laughed.

"Isn't that the way it is, Robin? Good can never wipe out evil. It's what makes the world go round." Trigon, scowling, granted Slade's wish. Slade received, once more, his flesh and blood. Once more he was alive. "Life is a wonderful thing," Slade said. He backed towards the portal. "Now let me out."

The Titans watched as Trigon raised Slade up. The instant Slade was level with the crack he let go of Raven and fell through. The last thing they heard was his laugh. "I will live on, Robin, whether you are there or not. And most likely, not. Goodbye, Titans!" And that was when he laughed.

"Raven! Friend!" Starfire flew ujp and caught her, when Trigon fired eyebeams at Star and she fell to the side.

"Starfire!" Robin yelled.

"Stay away from the portal, tiny humans," Trigon breathed. His breath was laden heavy with death. "She will fulfill her destiny as my portal. I have been preserved here, and I will not die here!" A huge claw reached down and raised Raven to him. Cyborg suddenly shot Trigon's claw.

"Hey! You are not touching any of my friends, ya got that?" he said, shooting in his face. Robin grinned, and Cy winked at him.

Robin pulled out some bombs. "Titans, go!" Everyone did, and to their surprise, so did the villains.

"We don't want the earth destroyed!" they said. "We won't be alive either!" And for once, the villains and the heroes fought side by side in taking down the bigger threat. Trigon.

But their combined forces weren't enough. It was never enough. Trigon flicked them down one by one, and if he got really bored, he fired his eyebeams and took three at once. They were failing. The only two people who weren't doing anything were Raven, lying at the ground, and Nio who was watching her.

He leaned down close to her face. "You're no demon," he said. Then he smiled. "You're a girl. No, a heroine. Stay that way." He then spun around and attacked Trigon with the others. Raven heard his words bouncing around her head, and it woke her up.

A heroine. Yes, she was a Teen Titan, and no one could change that. "TRIGON!" she yelled. The fighting had ceased already. It was a completely one-sided fight. Raven was looking around at them, at their eyes. They were all filled with hatred for Trigon. She could use that emotion. She could feel herself gathering it in. Hatred shall comsume...Trigon.

But another voice butted in, drowning it out. Raven, I'll be your hope. I'll always love you.

Raven halted. No, this was exactly what Trigon wanted. He wanted hatred there. She wasn't like him. "I'm not like you," she said. And she looked at her companions again. She looked under the hatred. Because when she did, she found what she was looking for.

She found love. She found that what drove them was not hatred for Trigon, but the love of Earth, the desire to protect everything they loved on their home planet. Even in the villains, she could find love (whether it was love for themself). Instead of hatred, she gathered this, oh so much more powerful emotion in. She inhaled deeply, feeling like she was swelling up with all this emotion. She was slowly lifting off the ground because of it.

And with a powerful hand motion, she released it all at once. "Azarath, Metrion, ZINTHOS!" BOOM.

If it was possible, they would have thought that the demon was screaming before he died. If it was possible, the Titans would have sworn they saw tears in the eyes of the villains and friends that had come alive from Raven's memories. They faded away. The greatest wonder was at Raven's floating and erupting figure. She was in a trance.

"RAVEN!" Robin yelled. Starfire flew up, but the energy spiraling around Raven's body was too much and Starfire was flung away like a paper doll.

"Raven, stop it!" BB yelled. "RAVEN!" But she was beyond stopping. She was bringing the whole place down. Colored soul figures were escaping from Raven, the multi-colored representations of Raven were flying in all different directions, back to where they belonged. Raven returned to her original blue cloak, but black magic was still swirling. The place was collapsing. A huge boulder barely missed BB's foot.

"You have to get out of here!" Nio yelled. "Now!" The crack was still there. However, they needed something to elevate them to the base of the crack. Nio fired two ropes at BB and wrapped around him "Get home," Nio said. He lifted BB to the crack and pushed him through.

He did that to Cyborg too, and he approached Robin. "What about you?" Robin yelled. "Come right after us!" And he was shoved through. Next was Starfire. She tried to fly again, but the wind was too strong and she flew off in another direction. Nio caught her with his ropes and pushed her through too. Then he forced himself towards Raven.

He used up his strength to wrap around Raven. She awoke from her trance. "GET OUT!" Nio yelled, not sure if she could hear. "GET OUT!" She was too weak to move. Her limbs fell limp. But her eyes, they were wide open and alert. They were full of emotion still.

"How are you getting out?" she yelled. "Come on, I can levitate..." but no, the winds were still too strong, and the place was still caving in. She looked at his face. She already knew. "No!"

"Yes," Nio said, and before she could say any more he pushed her through the crack. Then he let go and the ropes of black fire faded away. He clutched his chest. His heart was throbbing now. He had exerted too much strength. He wondered, grimly, whether he would die first of his illness or being smashed by a falling boulder.

And then, all was dark.

*****
The Titans found themselves all sprawled in Raven's room. They had emerged from a large shard of the mirror, and right after Raven was thrown out, the shards and the mirror frame evaporated into the air. It was over.

"Rae?" BB said. "Raven." Raven was on breathing hard, eyes wide open in shock, and head throbbing with pain. Her mind was reorganizing itself. Already a new mirror was appearing on her cabinet.

"That's strange," Cyborg said.

"Nio," Raven said. She stood up and massaged her head. Starfire took a step towards her but Robin put a hand on Star's shoulder and silently shook her head. Raven spoke to herself. "You think you're insignificant. You think that you're weak..." she said. She sighed. "No, there's a strength inside that will always linger there until you find it." She clutched a hand to her chest. Then, wiping away tears, she turned back to the Titans.

"And there your strength will stay."

Epilogue

Yellow Raven was sitting on her yellow couch when something flew through the window. It looked like a ball of light. Yellow Raven raised an eyebrow. "A new customer," she chuckled. She opened the basement door and it flew in. Down it went, all those spiraling stairs, until it reached the bottom. It flew through three corridors until it found a place to rest. The ball of light found an empty bottle and with a quiet pop, it sealed itself in.

It was stationed next to a row of bottles shimmering in the colors of Raven's emotional sides, and there it rested. Faded letters appeared on the once-blank label. Nio.

A bit of a sudden ending, but a good one. Trigon got his, and Nio's death gave the whole thing the emotion it needed. Plus the hero/villain union was inspired.:anime: :anime: :anime:

But where will you go from here? Well, wherever it is, I hope it's soon.;)

Wowzers.

That was great. Brilliant really. I liked the end, with the memory and Nio. The was touching. But did you mean epilouge instead of prologue?
Ah well, doesn't change the story's quality. Brilliant!

I've got some plans. :) Sorry it was so sudden...as I said before, I ended rather faster than I reckoned.

The ending was sweet and to the point. It allows for Slade to still be around, we kill off Trigon, Nio dies valiantly saving the Titans, and all has returned to some odd state of post-normal...whatever. (and by whatever, I simply mean, 'how do you define this new normal?' )

And yes, the epilogue touched just the right note. Very well done. :)

Mother!?" she thought.

I just got to point out that is the most touching scene i've ever read in awhile. They NEEDED this in "The End" :( oh well.

We never get to see Raven's mom much, but here, wow, with you're writing. It's like she never left! You completely nailed it here i think. A loving mother is what Raven needed at that time.

Great job Reket!

The dialogue was excellent, no mistakes i can catch. Ending was rather abrupt, but then again, so was the show's hehe. A great story Reket, i rather much enjoyed the all villain/superhero team up as well.
