Yes, all of us like our $200 statues of Batman in his Animated Series form, our Animated video games, even our DVD box sets... but I'm here to ask about the "lesser" merchandise... you know, the ones you see gathering dust at convenience store checkouts; the kind you see in the dollar stores; the ones most here probably ignore, but their grade-school age siblings/nieces and nephews might pay attention to.
So my question is: what inexpensive merchandise (fruit snacks, coloring books, dollar store stuff, etc.) with our favorite Animated characters (and *using* the Animated designs) have you seen or bought?
For me:
- a local drug store here has a few coloring books (stacked with Disney ones and three rows of magazines---but not a single comic book, natch) of Superman (fighting some robot), Batman (fighting Mr. Freeze) and the Flash; all in their mid-90's TNBSA versions. The Flash one is titled "The True Story of The Flash" (presumably a simplified retelling of Wally's actual comic book self, not whatever the JL/JLU shows have made up)...
- a local grocery store has a 24-piece kids' puzzle of the JLU characters: Green Arrow, Superman, Wonder Woman, and IIRC GL standing on a pile of rubble; GA's about to fire off an arrow, while we see the Javelin flying overhead.
- Jewel grocery stores (or Albertson if you're out west) sells Jewel-branded Justice League fruit snacks, complete with the stock shot of the group charging ahead.
