Lately, I've been reading all of these threads here about the animated comics. Right now, all I'm hearing is a bunch of complaining. It's hard to get a good story in just 32 pages. I understand that with some of these, like that latest Two-Face comic, you'd want a great story since the character was gone for such a long time.

Anyways, I was just wondering if you all actually visit the fanfics section of these boards. Do any of you hardcore fans of the comics read these stories? If so, why isn't there a response from you all (like there is for the comics)? Also, if you don't like the stories in the comics, why don't you all try to write a story of your own?

Thanks in advance to all who respond to this thread.

While I was one of the people who participated in some of the original string stories, and a regular on the first Fan Fic board, I can honestly say that I just don't have the time to write anymore. School has pretty much taken over most of my free time. That's also why I haven't been to the FF board in over a year; time. If I did, I'd be posting like crazy, let me tell ya.

Also, some people just don't have it in them to write. I know from first hand experience that not everyone can be a writer. It's a talent that not alot of people have.

Plus, comics are comics. Some people may not want to read a story with no pictures, especially a story based on a cartoon. I'm not saying that that's the way it should be, but it's just the way some people are.

There have been some good stories on the fan fic board, I've yet to write something cause I spend most my time on the RPG board. Time's the problem for me, it's easier to make up a story with a bunch of other people...

I'd have to agree with Bloodone, I don't have time to right much either *sobs*. Though I haven't remarked on any of the comic, save LL, because I don't even have time to go down to the comic store and pick some up! Last time I was able to do that was....depressingly enough, at least two years back -_-. I used to participate heavily in string stories and have written a few meager fanfics myself. Fanfics for the Batman world are great to read and to write, and I would think make up tenfold for any bad comic storylines. Batman RPG's are also great fun, though I have yet to participate in one of those here, though I have been meaning to. Night!

hey guys,

thanks for responding! i'm glad to hear other's opinions on this. and, regretfully, i must agree with you guys. it is true that some people just don't want to read stories of comic book characters. these forums are so huge, that i forgot it takes a lot of time to go through it all. it took me about 30 minutes to look at all of the talk about the "in blackest night" thread. this place has so many great things, that it is hard to look at everything. alas, time is the bane of everyone's exsistance.

i hope that if you all actually DO have some extra time, that you'll visit the fanfics boards! there really is some great stuff there.
