Well, it could happen soon with the new shows starting up, among other things.

Maybe in 5 years.

Definitely not any time soon... although Boomerang UK shows Duck Dodgers on there, which I find a bit weird. Maybe, like Matt says, in 5 or so years time, as by then, some people might consider them "old" and such.

Since these shows arent even on Cartoon Network right now and you're talking about the Boomerang, it weighs out to go there.

I'll mirror it to the CN Forum though.

Yeah we should really wait until more dust settles on the tapes and then air them on Boomerang. I think the 15 year wait is a good idea because we don't need to see last night episode of Hi Hi PumyAmiUmi on Boomerang the next day. However, New Adventures of Johnny Quest, Moxy and Flea, and SGC2C should be on Boomerang. They haven't been on CN for the last five to six years.

I looked it up. It premiered in 1997, but that's still not ten years.

Space Ghost has also only been off for about 1 1/2 years, if I remember correctly.

In my opinion, Cartoon Cartoons have no place on Boomerang. This channel is supposed to be for classic cartoon like Flinstones, Looney Tunes, etc.

If they need to, let Turner create a Cartoon Cartoons Channel for all of CN's original stuff and leave Boomerang for the classic toons.

I favor keeping Boomerang as-is, something for classic/old-time cartoons Time Warner's decided don't merit airing on CN (or anywhere else) anymore (at least the CN-made cartoons *might* still get aired on there---vs. "Popeye" or "The Flintstones" being left for dead)... esp. since the earliest CN cartoon is still only 10-12 years old or so (which might be "a long time ago" to younger posters on here, but...).

I would like if they made a channel 4 it but i know it wont happen (UNLESS I TAKE OVER CN!)

I'd be 20 times more likely to become President of Cartoon Network. Even if you did 'take over,' you wouldn't have a say in the matter.

And you missed my point. Cartoon Network no longer has the right to O Canada!
If they need to, let Turner create a Cartoon Cartoons Channel for all of CN's original stuff and leave Boomerang for the classic toons. There is no need. If done so, then Cartoon Network would become a nothing. A BIG nothing. Even to the point where... POOF.

Oh dear, he'd better not take over then. Atleast I'm like what, 50 times more likely? I'm sorry Toons, I can't pass these comments down (even if they aren't that great)! Anyways I can't say it isn't far off, but CN does have space for old Cartoon Cartoons and Boomerang shows if they give up repeats, so they could still air there.

The National Film Board of Canada.

You'd have to fly over there to find those cartoons.

That would be very advisable. These shows really reeked foul odor. Boomerang was created because Hanna-Barbera was losing it's dominance on CN. Let's put more non-HB cartoons on the CN. Of course there are cartoons on the Network like Atomic Betty and PPG that still rock.

well IMO the older PPG is better andd atomic betty really sux. i would think all the cartoon cartoons would be better than atomic betty and the last season (i think) of PPG

God, I certainly hope not, those are some of the "WORST" shows i've ever seen on CN.Just sell those series to Nick or Toon Disney and we all would be better off.

We would? I wouldn't.

Anyhow, it's not like they'd buy them.

It would make total sense to me for Cartoon Network's original series from the 90's to be part of Boomerang one day. Let's hope this is down the line, because newer stuff on the channel might bump off some of our favorite classic cartoons.

When I did my interview with the head of Boomerang, he mentions that he really makes the channel a family-oriented channel, which has a focus on characters parents and children alike can remember and enjoy. I don't think "Cow and Chicken" have reached that level of popularity among adults and kids, do you?

Wouldn't you feel humiliated to ask a question like that at school?

Anyhow, although Cow and Chicken is more enjoyable than Hi Hi or Atomic Betty, that doesn't mean that the other shows are bothers to watch.

And, if you look at it in the aspect that Hi Hi is produced by Cartoon Network, then you could consider it a new-age Cartoon Cartoon.

No. THe purpose of the station was largely to give refuge to the stuff through around 180, preferably around 1976 or earlier, not what Cartoon Network usually shows already 90the 1990s material and 1980s fare.)

Unless he's referring to C&C's debut on What A Cartoon! in 1995...
