According to Cartoon Research's Jerry Beck, series creator Van Partible has retaken the production reigns of buff lunkhead Johnny Bravo. The new Johnny Bravo Christmas Special, set to air Friday, Dec. 7 at 8:00 p.m. eastern time, will be Partible's debut.
Partible created Johnny Bravo and oversaw the character's first season in the show of the same name. However, when Cartoon Network renewed Johnny Bravo for a second season, Partible was no longer part of the show's staff. No one has been able to figure out why he left. However, since this will be the last episode of Johnny Bravo created for the foreseeable future, he likely came back to finish off the series.
Still, this news will undoubtedly excite Johnny Bravo fans, since most of them have been dissapointed with the post-Partible episodes.
