Hello all, I decided to write a satire about stuff we've all seen on the DCAU Forum. If you know the tune to "Blowin' in the Wind" by Bob Dylan and popularly remade by Peter, Paul and Mary, then break out your best folksy voice and sing. If not, eh, make a tune up. It's a short song, unless you sing it as slow as the original...

Floatin' on the Boards (a parody of "Blowin' in the Wind" by Bob Dylan)

How many times does Joker speak up
And deliver a really good line?
How much surprise did Shayera give you?
Before "Starcrossed" did you see a sign?
How many times can Flash not show up
Before his good fans start to whine?

The answer my friends is floatin' on the boards
The answer's on the DCAU boards

How many times has a character died
And never been brought back to life?
How did you feel when Bruce Wayne could not
Have Ms. Beaumont as his brand new wife?
Which part was best? Was it Dan Turpin's fall
Was it Kal-el returning the strife?

The answer my friends is floatin' on the boards
It's somewhere on the DCAU boards

How many beams should John Stewart shoot
Without a construct we can see?
How were "War World" and "Critters" to you?
Were they judged harshly in parody?
How would you side when the stuff hits the fan
In the big Cadmus conspiracy?

The answer my friends is floatin' on the boards
Just search here on the DCAU boards

That's it. I always love to know how you like it, especially if you know the original song (or not, whatever), but please remember not to answer the song's questions and recreate discussions on these topics--they all have more than one thread in their names.;)

[shameless bump]
Come on, y'all, hasn't anyone heard the original?

I don't remember the original, but I certainly enjoyed that. Bravo! :D

That was funny. I feel guilty about laughing at a reference to Dan Turpin, though...

That was funny. I feel guilty about laughing at a reference to Dan Turpin, though...Yeah, I was wondering if that was too dramatic a reference, especially paired with B:MotP's sobberific scene in the preceding line...

Thanks for the compliments. Feel free to offer critiques too, I didn't work that hard on this; just kinda experimenting to see if it works.
