We've just been told that Marty Jannetty signed a contract with WWE after wrestling Kurt Angle on SmackDown!.
We don't have this confirmed but we're told he will be on the RAW brand and will interact with Shawn Michaels in some way, shape, or form.
More as we get it.
Cool to hear he'll be around for awhile.

Very cool news indeed. I was really impressed with his matches on Monday and Thursday.

That's the closest to an official statement you'll get.
If Jannetty continues to have matches like on Smackdown, then it's a very good move.
I'm glad that Jannetty got a second chance in life.

After his match with Kurt Angle on SmackDown, I feel like this is the best spending of money the WWE has made in a LONG time.

I hope he gets put on Raw so he and HBK can become the Rockers once more. And then about 4 months later Jannetty gets thrown through a window.:)

I gave up on wrestling back in 2001 but man!! I remember The Rockers.

I just got recently got back into WWE, and I'm glad to hear this news. I really liked the Rockers match on Raw last Monday, and I hope that's where he ends up.
I also wish Undertaker would go to Raw. I just think he would fit in more there. I always enjoyed the classic Undertaker/Kane conflicts.

I imagine they're going to do an angle where he repays Shawn for the window incident. Come on, it's been 15 years in the making. ;)

Great news. I, sadly, did not get to see Marty in action this week, but I've heard he was pretty awesome. I'd like to see him on Raw, because SD comes on very late on Sunday night in my area.
WWE seems to be on a nostalgia kick heading into Wrestlemania. We've already got the Hall of Fame inductions, Hogan's rumored to be wrestling against Hassan, Piper's Pit is coming back (with Steve Austin joining the party) and now we get Janetty. Old school wrestling fans, rejoice!

Good, after the matches that he had this week he deserved a contract and another chance which I'm assuming HBK got for him. I really can't wait to see another Michaels/Jannetty feud which doesn't feature nothing but Michaels beatting Marty.

I would rather they team up for a while, finally win the tag titles, hold on to them to make the belts credible again (good luck), only to have the team disentegrate when the legendary Barbershop incident is brought up in passing, and have Marty through Michaels through some stage as payback.
Then they can feud and Michaels can squash him :D.
Seeing how good Jannety is today and reading a while back that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat is on staff backstage makes me wonder why Steamboat isn't wrestling anymore. Or at the very least have a presence on camera like Slaughter or Malenko a couple of years back.

This is the best news wrestling has had in a while.

I haven't seen that week of show's yet (I will next watch the last February SmackDown! :crying: ) so I have no idea how awesome Marty was, but just hearing the news just brings up the old wounds of there was no money/angles for Gail Kim, Nidia, Johnny the Bull, Billy Gunn, Test, Chuck Palumbo, Rico and yes, even A-Train, but there's room for guys like Viscera and Marty Jannetty, who hasn't drawn since 1992.

Steamboat has a screwed up back or neck, I forget which it is, but it won't allow him to wrestle. We can all thank "Stunning" Steve Austin in WCW for that. Kinda inronic that SCSA ended Steamboat and Goldberg ended Bret Hart.
