Please don't dig up five month old threads and respond to them (save for talkbacks) -- it gets very confusing. If you wish to discuss something from them please start a new thread.

Thread closed.
Okay, Now I wasn't the one who dug up the thread in question. BUT-I've also heard mods harping on duplicate threads and asking us to find a previous thread on a topic to post in instead making a whole new topic.

So which is it? If you wanna discuss something not discussed in a while, should you make a new thread or find an old one?

It's sometimes okay to revive a thread if it's still relevant. I do not know what this particular thread was for though, and so I am going to look...curiousity kills me like the cat. =/

The rules regarding when a thread can be resurrected tend to vary depending on the Forum. On the Toonami Forum it is fine to resurrect a thread as long as you have something worthwhile to add to that thread. I can only speak for the Toonami Forum though.

Take a look at what that thread was about: a convention that was happening back in 2004. Discussing anything in that time at the present (2005) is nothing but flat-out confusing. It starts up again as an exciting new thing happening, but it's already happened.

Examples of this not to bump:

My car died - Dated 2003; you reply "mine just died too." Why would you bump it? Just make a new one.

Upcoming Convention - 2004 - You reply "I can't wait for this!" What? It happened.

Examples of thigns TO bump:

My car died - Dated late 2004-2005; you reply "mine just died too." Good, because it's recent.

Upcoming Convention - 2005 - You reply "I can't wait for this!" Cool, enthusiasm.

It's not really that hard to tell; bumping threads is fine as long as the topics still relevent.
