Captain Planet fans better tape

Well we all know why the show is still on CN, but Ted Tuner has Alzheimers or has finally gotten Boomerang and they're changing the lineup. Well next Friday will be the last chance to see Captain Planet on CN as Adult Swim will be moving their block another hour starting March 28 which means no more Captain Planet. The show is on CN at 5:30am in the morning so for those hard core fans, I guess tape.

Im a fan because it was the best propoganda cartoon of the early 1990's im sad to see it go... i was one of the few who watched it while getting ready for school... time squad i can live without though

I could see Captain Planet going to Boomerang in the future. I'll miss seeing Time Squad. I wish that show would have lasted a little longer. I wasn't surprised that [Adult Swim] would extend by one hour.

According to Boomerang's schedule, on Saturday April 23rd, there is a 3 hour marathon of Captain Planet. Maybe, this means that Captain Planet will be headed over to Boomerang soon.

Heh :D I remember that show very well. Though I haven't seen it since I was a little kid. Didn't seem appropriate for the UK though, what with all the morales of the story being in American dialogue.

How is CN going to keep the "3 hours of educational TV" wolves at bay without their early-morning runs of that? Maybe.....they could bring back Histeria! Nah, they already forgot that ever happened.

Hum lets see...CN has that new Preschool show 30 minutes, Ozzy & Drix (I guess that's educational:shrug: ) 1.5 hours, and Baby Looney Toons that's one hour. So once that new show comes on, then they don't need Captain Planet anymore.

One less thing to worry about. This was a good idea at its Premiere in th 80's, but now... I don't think so, this is no longer a BIG issue in the world. This, I guess, was supposed to be a 30-minute PSA for kids. So bye bye CP, make way to ASA (Adult Swim Action).

The pre-school block is going to be 2 to 3 hours Monday thru Friday, so that's automatically 10 to 15 hours there. I'm sure CN will survive without CP.

Good show actually. Watched it back when it premiered, but since then, rarely ever. I think I watched it once, when I woke up early one morning, and got hooked, since it was really good. Too bad though. But, it is outdated. So, I'm not surprised. See ya Captain;)

Sorry but it's too late to tape all the eps. Tho thanks for the warning, as I am now getting to work on that other early morning, with enough time to tape, eh who am I kidding, rip in high quality OGM's all 26 episodes, with enough time left over for any errors or mistapes. Kudos.

That show was bad in a funny way. I know it was horrible, but I'd honestly take it over Ozzy n Drix and Baby Looney Tunes any day. But yes, CN will fullfill their requirements for education soon.

Two Stupid Dogs is on Boomerang, so yeah I definitely see this show coming their in the future, if not THE VERY NEAR future, perhaps on Boomeraction? Which reminds me, I used to have some Captain Planet toys when I was little. :evil:

As for Time Squad, that show will be sadly missed. :( I know some may argue, but I think it's time for a third network (even if it's only available through satellite or digital cable.) There's barely any room for Cartoon Cartoons on CN and many shows just can't go to Boomerang right away, but I think CN has enough originals, specials, and other various things to create another network. I propose Cartoon Cartoon Network (AKA C-squared Network). Shows you'd see there: Jonny Bravo, Dexter, Cow and Chicken, Courage, Mike Lou and Og, Robot Jones, Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad of course, and many many more! Maybe if we're lucky (might be pushing it though) late night could be Space Ghost Coast to Coast and the Brak Show (hey, they're both originals!).

If Nickelodeon has Nicktoons TV, then this could easily work out. They could do this or if they don't want to right away, then please add some more variety to the Cartoon Network section on-demand. We can see Hi Hi, the Edds, Grim, and pretty much everything else they have on regular CN!
