I noticed one of your new banners is one of those "Get free a free PSP" schemes, yet TZ doesn't allow members to actively talk about stuff like that in the forums. Does one hand not know what the other is doing, or is there something else at work here?

Funny thing about those banners (like the free ipod, free mini mac). I click on them and get a blank page :D I guess either Firefox is blocking something or my Zonealarm firewall is nuking the page.
*shrug* I don't mind, about not seeing these website cuz I think these get free stuff is a waste of time. Go earn some money, make a budget that allocates a small portion of $$, and buy it instead!
Uh... Not much point in my post. But that's my 2 cents anyway.

They probably don't allow continued discussion because it would always devolve into everyone begging for others to sign up for them or for links to "Free Flatscreens". Spam.
As for the ad, well that gives them money. You see, ToonZone can "spam" on it's own pages if it wants to. We can not. That's the drawback for those of us that don't own ToonZone. Without paying, we can't advertise. But there's no reason to complain about ads that help keep alive this place we all enjoy. They are refreshingly unobtrusive, they pay so I don't have to, and Harley doesn't like it when you complain about them.
If you have a real need to share the link to freeipods.com that will help you get one, go somewhere that allows Spam.

I did a few evenings worth of research prior to putting the ads up. It's non-intrusive and it's within our regular ad rotation. If you want to put a link in your sig that's non-intrusive, that's fine. I've seen a few people do that here. I've done it myself.
As for discussion on the forum, I'd have to say, "nay." It'll still be considered spam. And really, how much is there to discuss about it anyway?
Once there are enough completed offers under the referral ID in the ad, I'd be willing to switch out that ID with one of those who are listed as a completed offer and have provided a valid e-mail address on the status page. (During months where we have not sold out all of our advertising, such as this one.)
And Senor Mdawg, you know you can always PM me and ask me these things, right?

And Senor Mdawg, you know you can always PM me and ask me these things, right? :cool:Wasn't honestly sure who was in charge of it. I figured you may have had some faceless company running it and no one was really involved it what showed as long as it was site-relevant.

Sigh! I gave into the foul temptress that was one of those blasted ads and am now going for my own free stuff. You win TZ. You win
So who gets the freebies from this thing anyways? One of you guys or the ad company?
