All right, this is the last week of new episodes for a while. Next week the show already goes into repeats starting with the first episode of Axess. Also, we have our first skipped episode. In fact, Wenesday's episode is listed as "DoubleSoul!" Either its a repeat or its Episode 13, so I'll list that here just in case.

Summaries taken from Rockman.EXE Online, shortened and edited to prevent spoilers.

When using a Dark Chip, the Navi receives incredible power, but at a devastating price. The bond shared between the Operator and Navi is severed, and the Navi ultimately loses his soul as his identity program is destroyed.

Determined to put a stop to the Dark Chips, Lan finally tracks down the dealer. Things suddenly go awry when "Mari" becomes trapped in a refrigerator room! A new navi called NeedleMan has trapped her in there, and is determined to send MegaMan to deletion. What Lan does not know however, is that the complete situation is a trap.

Can he uncover the truth behind the dealer's true identiy, and resist the temptation of the Dark Chip's power?!'

The Unsafe Safe!

(Japanese title: Beat the Safecracker!)

The Dark Loids have been ordered to gather Rare Metals from various locations around town. When BurnerMan breaks into a building, Lan attempts to stop him, but he can't enter the Dimensional Area from the outside!

At the Science Labs, Dr.Hikari tests out a method for Lan to break through the barrier. They finally figure out that Lan and MegaMan Cross Fusion timing must be perfect, and they must also have a great deal of speed. Just when they're about to test it out, BurnerMan attacks another location! Determined to stop him this time, Lan heads over there without yet successfully testing their theory.

But why are the Dark Loids gathering Rare Metals? Can Netto put out Burnerman's flame in time, and stop the chain of theft?!

Cross Fusion Terminated!

As Lan makes his way to school, he encounters a Dark Chip factory by accident. After successfully shutting down the factory, he's praised immensly by the Net Police, which leads to Lan becoming arrogant and very full of himself.

Later that day, Lan is ordered to investigate another Dark Chip factory. Only this time, Chaud follows as well. Unfortunately for the both of them, the factory was a trap! Lan is forced to use Cross Fusion in order to battle DesertMan, who's prime goal is to kill MegaMan's operator. Meanwhile, Chaud faces off against Yuri...

NOTES:

-This was episode 13 in the Japanese airing order.

-As I said before, either this episode is airing or a repeat of the DoubleSoul episode. It could be Kids'WB maybe wanting to keep R ProtoMan a suprise for when they start showing new eps or something...

The Purloined Princess!

(Japanese title: The Stolen Princess!)

Yai, whom is studying abroad in Kingland, calls over Lan and company to visit. However, things are not going well for the spoiled little girl. The Princess from her new game, "Strawberry Princess", has gone missing! She can't release the game for sale until the Princess is found. So being the good friends that they are, Lan and company offer to help track her down.

Not only is the Princess missing, but wierd things are happening around the city! After many failures in finding the Princess, they decide that the Princess' dissappearance and the disturbances around the city may be related. All of the targets have been Yai's favourite places! With this in mind, MegaMan, Roll and Glyde are transmitted into Yai's castle's cyberworld.

Once inside, the navis find something they hardly expected! It's up to them to save the Princess, and restore order to Yai's magical game. \

NOTES:

-This is episode 14 in the Japanese airing order.

-First Axess apperances of Yai and Glyde.

And so ends the first run of new eps for this year. I wonder if they'll start showing new ones again after the first run of repeats considering they only have three weeks worth...

Uh oh, you made an error regarding Episode 13. Brightland is CREAMLAND's dub name. Yai is studying in Kingland, a completely different country and that's not throwing in the fact that they even mentioned it last Friday by the name KINGLAND.

Needleman's probably gonna be name change numero tres simply because despite being a Wood type and his name revolving around thorns, ShoPro isn't likely to call him something the soccer moms will consider a "drug" name. (As if being a gangster wasn't enough. Damn you soccer moms.)

I'm going more upset over the fact that they'll ditch his cool "Sha sha sha sha" laugh from the original Japanese version. But if they can acknowledge that he's supposed to be a gangster, that's enough for me.

Whoops. I fixed it. All these "lands" and ShoPro's dub change from Creamland got me confused.

EDIT: Okay, they changed him to SPIKEMan, but kept the word "Needle" in all of his attacks. The heck!?

And of course they change Mari thinking that Yuri is dead to simply "moved away."

LordTerminal

Yeah ShoPro is lacking logic now. Removing his kickass laugh was bad enough but by no reason should they rename him Spikeman yet keep his attacks' names intact.

As for the moving away thing. Think of it being more or less her being too emotionally scarred to admit her sister's dead. After all, if you were close to someone you knew who died, wouldn't you have trouble admitting it?

Oh and they also cut out the part in the beginning where Needleman (I may use dub names time from time again, but it'll be a cold, harsh day in hell before I call him SPIKEMAN when his attacks are kept intact name wise.) stabbed the police navi. Of course that was expected.

ShoPro's shoved the show back into the red zone again. This is the 4th dissapointment in a row I've seen since episode 7 and not even hearing more of Burnerman's Richard Cox voice tommorrow is gonna change that.

To make matters worse, Rockman.EXE Online's forums just got hacked. Geez, looks like this'll be the only place to discuss the Axess eps until it gets fixed.

Now that I think about it, they did the same thing with FireMan, his attack names still have the word "Fire" in them.

LordTerminal
03-14-2005, 05:04 PM
Yes but at least with Fireman it makes sense. Fire wasn't thought to have been a word that ShoPro would avoid unless paired up with a certain word. That's why Fireman was renamed Torchman. So that real firemen/firefighters wouldn't get a bad rep. (Although they kept the attack Fire Arm which baffles me. )

However, what with drugs going around all over the place that require needle injections today, you'd think the mention of the word Needle wouldn't be allowed. Yet they get away with it in his attack names. If they can keep his attack names the same, there is no DAMN REASON to change his name. ShoPro just hates us now.

And speaking of drugs, so far their handling the Dark Chip thing pretty well. Let's see what it's like come episode 20.

So this is the infamous Yuri/Needleman team, pretty cool.
I liked the moving away joke, man Lan is so dense.:p :D
Looks like Shademan's boss want's to corrupt Megaman, this should make things interesting.

As a Henshin and long time Megafan I`m pleasently surprised by this season. When will the new one start?

RE-RUN'D!

Looks like they may be saving R ProtoMan for then they resume showing new episodes after all.

LordTerminal
03-16-2005, 03:56 PM
BTW, REO's forums are back up. But you may have to reregister if you were a member previously.

J.E.Smith
03-17-2005, 03:03 PM
What the heck? Okay, looks like they're not keeping R ProtoMan a secret for the next batch of eps after all...

Then why the heck did they skip his introduction ep!?

EvilCut. Oh and you know the scary music playing in the background while Yai was talking about the missing princess? That Shademan's theme song from the original japanese version of the show. I guess ShoPro CAN afford to buy a few pieces of the original soundtrack.

And don't worry, there will be plenty of Darkloids to go around. So far you've met up with:

- A Savage Beast (Beastman/Savageman)
- A dark vampire (Shademan)
- A bubble-brained scuba diver (Bubbleman)
- An electrical navi with the voice of a disk jockey (Flashman)
- A bowling freak (Bowlman)
- A dignified flower (Plantman/Vineman)
- A ganster thorn bush (Needleman/Spikeman)
- And a flaming rabid cupcake (Burnerman)

Talk about your average group of freaks. And that's just the tip of the ice-berg. The next batch you'll meet up with include: (I don't think it's that big a spoiler but I put tags on to be on the safe side.

A giant gravity manipulating piece of shrapnel (Gravityman), a giant spark plug (Sparkman), a killer movie fanatic (Videoman), and the ugliest living pile of sand in existance (Desertman).

I would like to go on the record saying that "The unsafe safe" has got some of Axess' more funier moments. (Did they keep in the "Netto thinks of verious ways to get in only to have them all end in gratious pain?" thing?)

LordTerminal
03-17-2005, 06:40 PM
Yeah! Pretty much. The only edit I can think of regarding that episode were the scenes with the Megaman plushie.

Yeah! Pretty much. The only edit I can think of regarding that episode were the scenes with the Megaman plushie. That would make sence, just in case the FCC thinks it as product placement (Like the Enzan/PET advert scenes)

Oh, that's a good one too, did they skip Lan lauging himself stupid during the Flowerman epsiode?

1. Erg. A princess-maker sim game....

2. Was that the Star Trek Enterprise hanging?

3. Yai should had been in big trouble with Ms. Mari with what she put them thru!

4. Figures. Yai's personality because she's vain enough to do it.

LordTerminal
03-18-2005, 01:40 PM
Oh, that's a good one too, did they skip Lan lauging himself stupid during the Flowerman epsiode? Yes. And his name is Vineman. Plantman to be more politically correct but Vineman as far as the dub goes.

Conan-san
03-18-2005, 03:11 PM
Yes. And his name is Vineman. Plantman to be more politically correct but Vineman as far as the dub goes.Meh, that kinda sucks. They coulda edited out the PET and call it a "BlazeQuest promotion" or somthing and Lan coulda done the whole "white hair" laughshot. ah well.
