Hi ho, couch potatoes! It's new Fresh Question time! Think quick!

Now I don't condone watching movies on TV, because the channels that know to show the right movies won't show them without cutting content and language. Nevertheless, I saw a lot of Jim Carrey movies this past weekend, and it really got me to thinking how broad and impressive his list of movies is. So my question to pose is this:

What is your favorite Jim Carrey movie? For what reason??

Isn't that the one where he has some special spell and has to tell the truth? That showed some talent in my mind..AND IT WAS FUN TOO

Dumb and Dumber. It's the only one of his "funny" movies that I still find funny. Some are still good/okay, but that one is hilarious. Stupid, but hilarious.
I also enjoyed The Truman Show. And Man On the Moon was good. I really don't like dislike Andy Kaufman, but I stilled enjoyed a movie about him.
Yeah, Dumb and Dumber is my favorite.

EDIT: Oh wait, The Cable Guy is '1a'. And Eternal Sunshine might be '1b'. I need to see it again to be sure.

I think I'll go with The Mask. It is quite impressive how he was able to switch between the dull Stanley Ipkiss and the manic title character.

The Truman Show. It isn't his funniest movie (not by a long shot) but it is his best.

It is not my favorite, that is why I didn't list it, but it is probably his best acting performance, and one of the best movies out in the last several years...It raises disturbing questions about the media, what it can do, its influence, and how most of the public seems to be taken in by the lure of "becoming or being near media stardom" (or a media event, or events) Just look at the recent media coverage of certain events, along with the amazing popularity of the "reality" shows....I wonder if this movie, Truman Story, merely reflected upon this, or "encouraged" these reality shows, corresponding coverage....Furthere, it was proven that the OJ Simpson trial, became a "media sideshow" with the poor decision to cover it live...Fox, got the highest ratings, because it had the most coverage. perhaps that is what is behind this, and that trial, preceeded this movie.I am sure that this movie is questioning the ethical behavior of the media, (ie Simposn trial) but may have in the end encouraged more unethical behavior.who knows? ..Stuart..
