Well, they do say at the end of "The Popeye Show" that many more of his 'toons can be found on "LNB&W"...:)

Did the Popeyes have restored titles?

None of them had restored titles. But many of the titles that aired tonight are rarely shown in their black and white form.

Should "Strong to the Finich" be considered a rare cartoon, since there's a black kid in it? I swear another one of them was Chinese.

Fortunately, the Fleischer drawing style on humans was still sloppy eonugh in 1934 so that the black kid really doesn't look that much like a black kid, unless you pay close attention. He's funny-looking, but so are just about all the other kids. Plus, they do not give him any of the typical racial gags of the time, so there's nothing to edit out (though on the behavior aspect of the cartoon, the tykes go on a spree on wanton vandalism after eating the spinach, so I suppose a really PC person could complain other kids will see this cartoon and start knocking down fences, smashing trees and blowing away windmills).

Maybe (heavy sigh), but hopefully that dreaded PC person would first watch the short to its climax (fat chance of that, eh?), at which the kids do get their comeuppance for the rampage after one of them feeds spinach to those two starving bulls.

And, CN made this viewer very happy by bringing back "Let's Celebrake" as an early and welcome holiday season staple. Rarely before or after did the heartwarming side of Popeye's personality come rushing to the surface (both with and without spinach) as fully as in this short. More of what we need most these days!

Actually, the kids do their vandalism after Popeye has taken care of the bulls, so they really don't learn a lesson ... unless Popeye dropped the human pyramid they were on after the iris out.
BTW -- As a trivia note, a a few lasts for the series last night: "Strong to the Finish" was the last cartoon with Olive's annoying Zazu Pitts voice, "Learn Polikness" was the last cartoon with Gus Wickie doing Bluto's voice (and the last Bluto cartoon until after the studio moved to Miami); and "Child Psykolojiky" was the last Popeye cartoon with the ship door opening titles (deserving of a moment of silence...).

Can You Take It aired on the November 18 episode of "The Popeye Show", with restored logos. So when will the restored prints make their way onto LNB&W?

OK, I stand corrected, and thanks. (P.S.: I'll add a "not likely" to that last observation of yours, since we know Olive suffered enough over the years from crash landings as it was.)
