My friend is quite a talent with photoshop. He created this maybe 2 weeks ago but I just had to share it with the world.

If Aeris had just rolled out of the way, she wouldn't have had to die, and thousands of FF7 fans wouldn't have cried themselves to sleep every night for weeks at a time back in the day.

Really though, didn't hit me hard when i first saw her bite it, i like Tifa better so it didn't matter much to me :P

I'm with you, although it did kind of suck to lose your only dedicated magic user, especially when I'd already decided that my final party would be Cloud, Barret, and Aeris.

But yeah, character-wise I was more of a Tifa guy, although that might have more to do with the fact that I was something like fourteen at the time and Tifa was the Final Fantasy franchise' first real fanservice character. (-:

Tell me about it, I remember my cousin walked in on me playing the game right as the end was being shown, and there's a scene were Tifa is leaning over to grab Cloud's hand. She looked at it and did a double take an said "Jesus, how has she not fallen over the side of that cliff by the laws of gravity yet?"

But even so, by that standard, every female video game character in history with the possible exception of a medusa or two somewhere has been a fanservice character.

Really it's not much of a practical theif costume, all the other suits work for thei class description, except those...

Anywho, I nearly bust a gut at that pic. In retrospect, yeah, it sucked to have Aeris/Aerith taken from me like that, but I got more mileage out of Tifa and Yuffie, so I sorta got over it quickly.

I think the idea was to prove me wrong by pointing out FF fanservice before VII, but for the record, I thought all three female characters in FFX were pretty fanservile. Never got around to playing X-2.
FFIX was curiously lacking in fanservice... no... going... off-topic... must... resist... nerdiness... fading... fading....
