Well, Christine Morgan wrote the stories with Jericho, she created the character.

Yes, he's her son. And yes, they're playing the parts of a deliberate Jocasta and Oedipus.

Long story short, Demona remembers she layed two eggs for that breeding season (Christine chose to ignore Greg's rule on one egg every twenty years) goes to Avalon and claims her son named Jericho who's not satisfied with his life there, takes him in, twists him, he begins to fall in love with her, she realizes that and plays it for a while... getting him to kill, and eventually they go all the way, and Jericho becomes as bad... worse than she is.
