I liked the first one, saw it in the theaters and then we went to Pizza Hut and got the hand puppets (I loved Petrey).

I haven't seen any of the other ones, but I caught a part of the one airing tonight and it wasn't very good.

I thought there was just one rotten movie, with about ten different titles so Don "Talentless" Bluth can re-release it direct to video every couple of weeks.

Good gravey!! haven't we had enough "Land Before Time" sequles?!? Universal is worse than Disney. The only good thing about this is that Don Bluth didn't work on those sequals. (Thank god. It would've diminished his credibility even more than it already is.) Universal just saw fit to milk The Land Before Time for all it's worth, and boy did they ever. I like Don Bluth's animation style, (Especially on the Dragon's lair, and Space Ace games i have for DVD.) but his films are usually hit, or miss. Titan A.E., for good, or Ill, is the only one that actually has some balls. On a related note, when Dragon's Lair, and Space Ace were popular in the arcades, Ruby-Spears adapted them into animated shows. (Dragon's Lair was on ABC, while Space Ace became part of Saturday Supercade on CBS.) Bluth was not involved in either of them. which explains why they looked inferior to the games. I would like to see them again just for laughs though. Anyway, let's get back to the point. Universal, you need to stop this right now!! Enough is enough. Come up with something original, edgy, and funny for a change!!! It may give you some credibility in the long run.

Misha: So Mr. Horse, what are you thoughts on Zoog Disney?

Mr. Horse: No sir i don't like it.

I wonder what they'll think up for the next one...I mean, what else could they possibly discover now?!

Oy. Don Bluth just needs to stop letting other people do sequels... anyone here suffer through The Secret of NIMH 2? Makes the Land Before Time sequels look like masterpieces...

The first one was definitely the best. I bought the soundtrack, and I loved the music. They should have stopped at one, but...

The first one was a classic, so it's such a shame so many cheezy sequels had to follow it. All they are repeats of one another. They all have the same mundane plot over and over again. That and they music diminishes with every one that comes out.

Aughhhh! I hate hate hate hate hate HATE HATE HATE those, and HATE them some more. I never even liked the first one. Awful, awful...there is no justification for having, what, EIGHT of those?

Would you believe Entertainment Weekly gave sequel #8 (!) a B+?

Land Before Time 19: Littlefoot Finds a Bug Under A Rock(It's a musical!!!)

If they keep this up, this could be a title in a few years.

I hate those movies! Like a lot of you guys, I liked the first one, but after that they were all terrible. Their plots are all alike and once you've seen one sequel you've seen them all....

I have only seen the first one and it was'nt that bad. I have spoken to another who saw the sequal and hated it. Its amost like An American tail the theretrical movies were OK but off the cinima screen it stinks.

Kero(Wondering whever a Balto sequal will be next)

I love the first one... it brings back some great childhood memories... I too remember when Pizza Hut had those puppets. Can't recall if I ever got one myself, though. But they really should've left a good thing alone. I'm so tired of those derned sequals (sp?). Can't they at least make one where they're grown up or something? How about following the Disney route and make one about their offspring *shudder*

People: I say we demand a special where the meteor comes and smashes them all to bits!! Admit it, it would get a lotta viewers! :D

Yah, I watched the first one-very good, the animation and soundtrack WERE to die for. But I gave up after sequel #4. It was getting too tedious and sappy to keep track of all the movies. You'd think that paradise they got to in #1 would have nothing wrong with it.... .

The sad thing is the sequals are almost like their useing the same script over and over but with slight plot changes.

As long as people are silly enough to keep buying them, why put forth the effort to be original?

hehe lol

Yes, I'm kinda skeptical, too. I mean how many sequels can a money-obsessed studio make out of a single movie?

And those songs... ugh...

How come the first one never comes on anymore? The ones CN keeps showing are IV, V, VI, and VII. Do they have the rights to the other ones (even though I don't really care)?

uhh, they annoy the crap out of me! I mean how many times can a freakin' dinosours sing and save the day and that yellow one be so moody. WHen i was in second grade everyone was obsessed with it, and I hated it. They use to play the land befor time, and fight over who got to be little foot or whatever the hell his name is. God, that was sad.

Ok, I have decided to close this thread. Aside from the fact that it has nothing to do with Cartoon Cartoons, it is only people complaining about the movies. Remember to visit the AniGen Board (http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=12) to discuss random animation. :)
