Sealab returns once again.
FINALLY!! I am probably the only one on this board who thinks that it's return is awesome, but hey, to each its own.

5 seconds in, and I already hate it.

Looks like another craptacular Sealab season.

Edit- F---. Quite possibly the worst episode since "ASHDTV."

that wasn't very funny at all and what was with Shanks character design it looked really off? at least there wasn't many pointless deaths as other episodes

That song was a nice message to all the haters. :)

Overall an okay episode but not that many laughs.

Why can't they let it die!?! The writers need to move on, this show is just pathetic now, if that.

Ah yes, more new Sealab. The show that does for television what a cluster***** by a horde of Mongols does for gender relations.

Now, considering that last season had some few signs that someone on staff had remembered that oh yeah, Sealab was funny long ago, I had hopes that that improvement might be reflected in the new batch.

No such luck. Sealab's back to it's usual godawfulness, recycling "Feng Shui's" plot skeleton yet again and managing to suck in ways not even dreamt of in the Book of Revelation, and that had the world ending.

On the slim plus side, John Bear was way more annoying and unfunny than Sharko and Shanks combined. Also, I'm glad they said they were "only joking." I wouldn't have known this was a comedy otherwise.

And trying to make jokes about how allegedly offensive and unfunny you are only works if you're actually funny and admitting to phoning it in every once in awhile.

So if Venture Bros. is hanging on by a thread because it failed to bring the numbers as the lead-in for [as], is there any chance Sealab could take over at 11 so it will die, die, die?

This was like a Navy instructional movie about genital warts, only far uglier and less funny. If punching people hard in the liver causes them great pain and vomiting, staff of Sealab, please form a line on my right, I will see you in groups of two. F-

I thought the haters hated it because it sucked all around, not because of offensive jokes.

Anyway, Sparks and Stormy were funny, as was Dolphin Boy's animal show. Everything else was mediocre, except for John Bear, who somehow sucked even more than Sharko did.

It's been a long time since I've watched Sealab, but yeah, I agree with you.

Avenue Q's "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist" was leagues better than whatever that song was =P

 ......WHAT did I just see?

I missed the beginning, and the parts I did see were okay, but that song.....

Don't get me wrong, I get the whole "its just a joke, so its funny...." bit they were preaching, but this is really pushing to extremes the whole "we suck, we know it, and we're going to be worse".

Hell, I actually enjoyed a good part of the last 2 batches of episodes and thought it was getting better, very gradually. This.....

and Sharko wasn't even present.
He was present. He said "Hey, come see the Trail of Beers at Happy Hour!" or something like that, and was floating in the background near the end using an inner tube ("Ha ha! A shark needing floatie toys!")

I laughed at the end when the Indian pulled his face off and screamed. That's about it. Everything else pretty much sucked.

Well, this was an overall average show. I liked Dolphin Boy's show, and a couple of others. Just glad that it is back on.

Pretty much sums up what I thought. It made me go "heh" throughout which the last batch of new Sealabs barely made me do (though I really liked the Grief Counselor episode).

I'll say C/C+.

Eh, while I don't think it was nearly as good as the early episode, I thought it was better than the last season. They at least sorta stuck to a plot and kept things from getting to far out of character (unlike, say, ASHDTV).

Was it just me or was every joke after the "pissing on your ancestors" one forced? I just got that vibe that they're trying to desperately make me laugh, even right down to that racist song, but in the end that sounded forced as well.

The first episode of a new batch of Sealab for some reason seems to be always the worst one of the batch.

While IMO Selab has had it's share of funny episodes last season (yeah I said that :D) I think these should be the last batch of episodes made and not to order anymore. Even if they can come up with a few more funny episodes, there are many people disliking the show, they are desperately seeking out ideas (even eps. I like do) and yes it is trying to piss everyone off. Come on guys, the joke's over. :) Those facts and the facts WS keeps picking up shows to air, they're going to need to make room for those shows so I think the best show to end would be Sealab. We can all agree it had a good run on the network.

If Sealab really is getting an 8 episode pickup this year it will end at 52 episodes. A very respectable and average number for a show to end on CN.

Which is kind of what I hope happens, because episodes like this aren't making me look forward to the show. Let's see: They did the "Indian pissing on they're ancestor" joke about 5 times too many. There wasn't much of a point with the Quinn gambling subplot (I even doubt it was a lame excuse to keep him from fiixng anything either, since it had the "let's have Quinn gamble cause we think it's funny" vibe to it), as was the song at the end (this show is far too stupid to be offensive to any minority. Espically to those who know how stupid it is) and the ending with the Indian being a Native american (who also had a white guy mask on) was really eh too.

Best Jokes: Hesh cursing out his luck, "If you don't have sex with me, the terroists win" and uh... that's it.

GRADE: 1 Star Out of 5.

It was fulfilling the stereotype that all black males shoot craps well. The writers do sometimes look into the small details.

It literally hurts my brain to watch this. I won't give this an F cause I chuckled a few times. But wow. That was terrible.

D-

That IS generous, though.

Gah, I need to recover from that.. filth.

When you need a terrible music number to reinforce, or rather shove in your face, the theme of the episode, you just know the show's reached a new low.

Sealab isn't even worthy of a F... Maybe a Y for "Y is this ****ing show still on the air?"

Scythemantis

I find it hard to believe that anyone thought the musical number was good enough to air. It can't possibly be that difficult to come up with a catchy or even stomachable song. I'm glad there was no discernible tune to get stuck in my head.
