How old are the characters on Inuyasha?

Other than Kagome none are given, but you can estimate.

Inuyasha - he's a demon so he could be over hundred years old, but if he were to be given a age in human years it would likely be 16 or 17.

Kagome - 15

Miroku - 16 or 17

Sango - 16 or 17

Kouga - like Inuyasha he's a demon so he could be any age, but in human years he would likely be 16 or 17.

Kohaku - younger than Sango, he's likely about 13.

Kaede - over 50 for sure, I would say she's younger than 60 though.

Kikyo - when she died 50 years ago she was 18.

Naraku - he's easy because he was born 50 years ago.

Sesshoumaru - he's even older than Inuyasha, for sure he's over 100 years old.

Jaken - ??, no clue but he's probably close to Sesshoumaru's age.

Rin - 7

Naraku was formed then, but that's only if we're not counting Onigumo. If we count him, he was probably around 20 or 30, so Naraku would be something like 70-80...

But then would you add the ages of the countless demons that it took to form him. When Naraku was born one could say he started a new life.

The Inuyasha guidebook "Zusetsutaizen Ougikaiden" gives ages for all the major characters. I'm doing this from memory, but I think I got most of them right.

Wow, that's way too young for the Brothers. Inuyasha should be 18 "in demon years", and Sesshomaru should be like 30.

I can swallow 23 for Naraku. Kagura, not so much. Kouga is the equivalent of 15? I don't quite buy that either. Perhaps if they they didn't sound and look so old in the anime....I might be able to swallow that. That's one pet peeve I have about anime, characters are always much younger than they sound/act/look.

Inuyasha: around 20 (not counting the 50 years he was sealed)
Miroku: low-mid 20's
Sango: 18-19
Shippo: 7-8, then again Shippo IS a demon....
Sesshomaru: Appears late 20's...in actuality, hard to place cause he's a demon.
Naraku: Logically, at least 70...but even harder to place than Fluffy cause of so many variables...
Jaken: Too hard to tell, but he should be right up there with Sesshomaru
Rin: 7-8
Kohaku: 11-13
Kagura: Appears late teens, though wasn't she born mid-series technically?
Kanna: Appears 10-11, same situation as above
Kikyo: Mid 20's (not counting the 50 year death period)
Koga: Appears lower 20's, though hard to place because he's a demon

Alot of the characters are hard to tack solid ages on because of the demon aspect. And I have to question Kagura and Kanna, since it seemed to me that were created shortly before they appeared.

That's one pet peeve I have about anime, characters are always much younger than they sound/act/look. I agree. The Kouga one is particularly humorous... he sounds like he's in his mid-to-late 20s in the dub. ;)

Well to be technical in "Real Time" (If you mean by which Inuyasha started showing on AS) It's been about 2 and a half years. Story time it's been at least a few months, but not quite a year. Probably six months or something like that. At least over 4 months, since that's how many new moons we've seen.

Some say that InuYasha is 15 in "human years", and one post said he's 65+ in the "Demon range".... so would InuYasha actually be 65 years old or so? As in he was 15 when he was sealed on the Tree, and was there for 50 years? or was he actually older than that before he was sealed? I'm a bit confused X.x
