Well as you probably have noticed... I havent been on much the past few weeks. Youre about to see why. :D

I was comissioned to work on a freelance project with a friend of mine. He did the design work... I did the illustrations. They are illustrator drawings sourced from my natural style.

(My friend was going to finish this one since I couldnt get the finishing touch to work... Hey I said I was good, not perfect! :p)

Congrats on the commission and the results!!

I really like the style and feel, Outlander. Don't know if it's from just talking about Half-Life 2 or not, but the images give a sort of abstract, removed feeling from the environments.

Only criticisms I have are that the "2nd floor" girl's arm looks too long. And that the final picture, the concession stand front (my favorite of the group)... the overhang feels like it needs some angle work. Possibly it's that the very top angle/point just needs to be pulled down a bit.

Other than that, amazing work.

Speaking as someone who positively reeks at any kind of realistic drawing (and especially anything like buildings) I can only say I'm in awe. Congrats on the job and by the way is that you in the 4th one down ;)

I think they look cool! I've never used illustrator before. I really like the way everything is outlined.

Yeah well... It wasnt easy

Each drawing took about 3 - 8 hours after drawing them on paper (which took about 5 minutes for each :p). I used the drawings as a template and traced them out.

Lord Mesa's got to give me a few pointers in Illustrator though now that Im FINALLY into the program :p
