Description

Devil May Cry 3 reintroduces the mysterious hero Dante in a riveting new game marked by complex storylines, striking graphics and unadulterated stylistic action. Devil May Cry 3 preserves the fast-paced action that has made the series so popular. In addition to its strong roots, the game increases the intensity of gameplay with a new "style" system, which adds an additional level of depth. Depending on preference, players can choose to use short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive play styles. Each system has its own range of gameplay features and players can choose to power up their favorite style for increased special attack abilities. The range of options available in Devil May Cry 3 immerses players in a non-stop, thrilling escapade.

I picked this game up today, but haven't had alot of time to play it. From what I have played I absolutely love the game. Everything is very stylized and generally cool. Dante comes across as more of a badass in this game then he did in any of the previous titles in the series. Even when Dante puts his trench coat on he manages to look uber cool.

This year has seen quite a few AAA titles released already and this is easily one of those games. Capcom is on quite a roll this year with games like Resident Evil 4, DMC3, and Street Fighter: Anniversary Collection for the Xbox.

Is the game as hard as people say? I saw a blurb from IGN where they were blabbering on about how the game was gonna kick your ass no matter how good you are at games. Is that true at all, or is IGN just being its usual self?

Anyway, I'm gonna try and get this sometime soon. I loved Devil May Cry, but I didn't bother with the second one (partly because of bad reviews, partly because it didn't look all that interesting). The third title looks to really add some interesting elements to the game, like the three different specializations for Dante. This should make the game much more varied than the first, and give the guns some actual purpose.

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the dialogue. Capcom seems to have fully embraced Dante's "cool" one-liners, which are bound to induce a groan or two. I guess you could say that's all part of the fun, but I can't really get a laugh out of it.

Im playing through on the Normal difficulty and I had to retry the boss on the third stage 7 times till I finally beat it and I loved every minute of it because the game is just so fun repeating the missions isn't a tedious task. I find DMC2 to be very similar to Ninja Gaiden in that sense and the fact that it plays similar to Ninja Gaiden.

I actually like Dante's one liners because they make the character look more cocky and arogant which is how his character is in this game he does everything with style and it looks extremely cool.

Capcom is on a roll and we're only three months into the year. First comes Resident Evil 4, then comes Devil May Cry 3.

I'm loving it right now. When it comes to frenetic action games, Capcom knows how to do it, and I'm enjoying the various styles of fighting. However, I'm more fond of the Gunslinger Style of fighting than anything else. It looks like it's going to be a terrific game from here on out.

Wow, this game is HARD AS HELL. I too was stuck on the 3rd stage boss for quite a while, but it was still a lot of fun even though I was getting my ass handed to me. I remember the same thing happening when I played the first DMC though, and I still love that game. I haven't gotten much further, but I can already tell this is gonna be one of those games I'll be playing over and over again.

The story actually seems pretty interesting to me this time, but Dante's one-liners don't do anything for me.
