View Full Version : Naruto Movie Two Poster (Minor Manga Spoilers)
http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/naruto/goods/eiga05.html
Well the first details are coming out about the second Naruto movie. The title of the movie is “Naruto: Daigekitotsu! Maboroshi no Chiteiseki Dattebayo” which roughly translates to “Furious Clash! The Mysterical Underground Ruins!". Looks like it will involve Shikamaru and Gaara going off with Naruto and Sakura. Sasuke is also absent from the poster, which would make the movie fit into continuity. This could allow the movie to take place during the three months after the Sasuke arc and before the time skip. Thoughts, anyone hoping this one will be as good or better than the first?

Interesting group. I wish Hinata or Lee was in it, but this should be good.

Out of curiosity, when did they start production? It seems they started awfully close to the end the chase arc.
I believe they announced there would be a second movie around October of last year.

Yeah, I believe the announcement was made in 236 or 237, but I'm not sure. Part 1 ended in 238, FYI.

I think that's right. Then Kakashi Gaiden started. Think they'll put that into the anime or save it for a movie?

They'll put it into the anime. If they were going to make it into a movie it would have been this years movie. Probably do it in three episodes before the timeskip happens.
I would think the Kakashi Gaiden would almost certainly go into the anime. It would make a nice movie though if it was fleshed out a bit.

I'm thinking the current arc wraps up in 135, which'll air in mid-May. After that you'll have three episodes dedicated to the next few chapters of the manga, with flashbacks to flesh them out. Then there's that three month gap. The anime will have filler episodes that take place in there lasting until the end of August. Then they'll have an episode dedicated to Chapter 238, then 3 episodes for the Gaiden, and Part 2 will start in the anime the first week of October.
The movie debuts in August, right? So it should take place when the three months are close to being done.
That sounds about right, though I fear we may be in for more filler than last time. Though it would probably suck, that three months is the perfect time to throw in as much filler as they can. 15-20 episodes worth.

Heh. In an ideal world, that filler could be used to flesh out the other Genin teams. But I'm sure that's just wishful thinking on my part.

Actually, based on the line-up seen on the movie poster I could see each mini-filler arc having Naruto and Sakura team up with a couple other gennin, with Kakashi occasionally going along as well. That way all of the characters could get some development.
The official website for Naruto (http://www.naruto.com) has a short teaser up for the new movie. Just wait for the now loading screen on the left side to load.
Naruto's Ransengan looks much stronger. I'm guessing he eventually learns how to form it on one hand without the aid of either the Kyuubi or a Kage Bunshin.
I do wish Rock Lee, Kakashi, and Gai were in the movie. Eh, maybe they'll get some bit roles. It does seem weird that the gang is off on a mission without any kind of adult backup.
And it's about friggin time an actual sword came into play.

No that was a Kyubi charged Rasengan. The red chakara is a dead give away and also if you look closly Narutos eyes are red. Though it does'nt look as powerful as Kyubi lvl 2 Naruto's Rasengan.
It's hard to take this movie poster seriously. I mean.... Knight vs. Ninja? Reminds me of the interview I read about the Naruto creator talking about the popularity of western medieval-esque stories in Japan that went on for a while but he still appreciated the Eastern Arts more. Wonder if that has anything to do with this? Heh.

I think they're trying to make the mve villains too "out there". the Snow-nins from the first movie al have an Extreeeeme Sports motif to their weaponry -__-
I wanna see Lee kick some ass (and actually WIN/finish a fight for once) in the movie, but at least Sasuke's not in it >_>
