On l/14/05, I started a very short thread, apologizing for saying something in the Disney Forum, which eventually closed that thread down. In spite of attempts to remove my post,(I contacted two moderators) I tried, I did not want my post to stop a discussion, that thread, was closed by a moderator...I felt bad, so I posted a thread, saying I was sorry for what I said, and wanted those intersted in carying on that particular discussion, to know I was wrong for what I said..It was just an apology, short two or three sentence thread,,,,Not hostile, even handed, and as cool as I could write it...That thread, the apology, was removed, without any explaination,a day or so lateer, or contact, from anyone...I have waited more than 6 weeks, but as of today, I have heard nothing. I do not think threads should be removed without explaination or contact of some kind..Sure, it isn't a big deal, but there is no record that I even posted the apology thread...How do people feel about this treatment? Stuart.

They probably removed it because there's really no need to apologize in thread form. If you feel the need to apologize to people (and I have before), it's really best just to drop the related parties a PM or something. Starting a thread is somewhat unnecesary.

I don't mind them removing the thread, but I think out of courtesy, and respect, they sould at least let me know why, even if it was for exactly what randomguy has said..(that is what I am upset about) .There is a question of me not having a record of what I wrote too...but I guess that goes with removing the thread..I do not think it is out of line, to write a few sentences to explain what is being done, and, by the way, that was the only thread that I ever had removed, and I doubt that it is done a lot...What would a few minutes worth of time have hurt, and that would have been a much more respectful way to operate..Thanks for reading this..Stuart

It's more than likely that the thread wasn't really needed, and if I recall, you actually apologised beforehand. That may not be right, and I wasn't the mod who dealt with it so I can't be sure.

Anything else is pretty much summed up by randomguy. :)

I agree, and I apologize. Usually moderators do inform users if their posts are deleted, but something must have happened in this case (or the mod in question simply forgot). I will find out what happened for you and we'll be in touch.
