Alright, I thought I knew it all, but apparently not. I need help in remembering this anime, I have not seen it but I've heard of it before. I only know the desacription, it rings a bell but I can not put my finger on it. But first, some background information on the events leading up to this: I was browsing through abs-cbn.com, the Philippine network's website which have shown various anime for the last decade or so (the network that dubbed Naruto, Zenki, Bt'X, Magic Knight Rayearth for LOCAL television in the Philippines). As I was looking through the shows page, I notice this live-action Korean show (dubbed in Tagalog) called "Save the Last Dance for Me." Now here's the description, I'm POSITIVE it was based off either a manga or an anime as I'm sure I've heard of it before. This is very similar to how Meteor Garden is to Hana Yori Dango. Now, the description (not sure if changes were made to names, but it probably is)
Francis came from a rich family in the USA. He has a fiance (stemming from a fixed marriage) that he "promises to marry". His dad wants him to take over his company, but he is too strict, telling Francis too "Stop playing, Now's the time for you to work," resulting in Francis answering back (he'll still inherit the company though). Now, while walking...somewhere, some thief robs him, and results in Francis getting stabbed and falling over a cliff. Enter Sandy, a poor girl that doesn't want her and her dad's house to get sold. While she was driving, she stumbles onto Francis (after falling from a cliff), and takes him in (eventually, they fall for each other). When Francis wakes up, he can't remember anything. Meanwhile, Francis' family, thinks he is dead, even gave a false body (that they think is him) a burial. The company now goes to Francis' brother, who has evil intentions (kinda like that guy from Lion King, Scar I think). Oh, and Francis' brother wants his old fiance as well. What will happen to Francis? Will he regain his memory and go back to his old life? Or will he stay with Sandy and help them out?
OK, maybe not the best translation (i had to translate from Tagalog from english, wow my tagalog is getting rusty), but that's what it is. The Philippine title is "Save the Last Dance for Me" but googling it just goes to some band's song. I know I've heard this anime/manga before, so if anyone can help me out...
