Why do you say that?

I don't blame The Guard for saying he doesn't understand why people are buying it. The first episode simply did not really appeal to me. It wasn't that good. The art wasn't great and the story was just stupid.

I expected better.

The Alex Ross cover on #1 was the only reason I'm not kicking myself for buying it. And I think that, in years and years down the road, it might be worth a few dollars.

Coming off the high of watching Secret Origins and then going to the first issue of the adventures I have to say I was really disapointed.

The writing was exrtemely sub par and the art was just plain boring. I mean it reminded me of those bad Marvel Star Comics from the 80's. Kept expecting Heathcliff or Peter Porker to show up.

The overall effect was just really boring art and story wise. A total injustice to the show on which its based.

I was hoping they would start things off with a real bang and have one of the the writers from the show do the first issue and maybe get Tim Levins or even Rick Burchett to draw it.

If DC is going to do the animated series line, I really wish they would act like they cared, or put people in charge of them who do.
