Ok I saw today's JLU, I know its a rerun, But it mention that Plastic Man was on the team.

Now that brings to me number 2, Will he ever be show?? I am a big Plastic Man fan. I loved his goofy show in the earl 1980's, Any one rember it?

Think it was called the Plastic Man comedy show. I loved that, But too bad no word of it coming out on DVD, I can hope can I???

He made a showing on Superfreinds, Mouse catching if I recall. Superfreinds was show right after the Plastic Man show.

In the show, he would later marry Penny, and have a kid, Than they change the title of called The Plastic Man family comdy show?? I think I got it right lol.

I know it does not go into Plastic Man's comics history. But it was a goofy TV show. Would be nice if they show Plastic Man on the JLU.

Any of you rember the old Plastic Man tv show?

I remember it, very vaguely though. I was very young when i use to watch it, probably watched in in repeats, and all i remember was that it was a funny show and i really liked it a lot. thats about all i recall, and i vaguely remember like the bumpers between commercials.

anyway, the way i understand the JLU situation is that plastic man cant appear because of legal issues. So as it stands now, plastic man will never appear on JLU.

i find it kind of weird that theyd mention he's on the team when he can never appear. but i guess it was a cute gag for 'tgsnt'.

anyway, what do we need him for anyway? we have elongated man! :) and he was great in both tgsnt and tds. hope he appers more w/ a bigger role. but it would be cool to see plastic man too. oh well. i aint really loosing sleep over it. peace.

But I would perfer Plastic Man over elongated man. Plastic Man did come before Elongated Man.(But Marvels Thin Man came first, But Plastic Man was before Richards)

I do not see why they would have problems with Plastic Man, He is a DC prop. And he is in the JL in the comics, sure he is there for gags and laughs(Thats why I loved him)

But if its legal thing, Well, At least he is on the team lol. They can sneak him in the back ground here or there lol.

When they say they can't use a character because of "legal issues", nine times out of ten, that means someone has optioned the character for use in some other venue, usually a feature film or TV show. They probably can't use Plastic Man in JLU because whoever bought the right has an "exclusive use" clause, or something similar.

Dont think Plastic Man will have a film any time soon. Even though it will be cool,

I wonder what design they used for Plastic Man any way, if they can used him.

I am glad he is on JLU. He cant be show is all.

I also doubt there will be a Plastic Man film any time soon, but that wouldn't necessarily mean the character hasn't been optioned. Lots of properties are optioned for films that never happen, and when the film project falls through, the character can remain in option for years afterward.

IIRC, Plas appeared in animated form first on the first season of "Superfriends" in the early 70's; he got his own show in the late 70's. A second season of that show featured him marrying Penny and having a kid.

I recall liking Plas' old show, too...
