Nation States (http://www.nationstates.net/cgi-bin/index.cgi) is a game site that you can actually create and administrate your own country. It isn't very elaborate but many people have managed to create game parameters beyond the basic game to incorporate war and coups. I lost interest in passing the laws and watching the crazy social changes that occured and failed to check in this month. My Kingdoms were "Fonts" and "Zaldispar". Both governed by an iron fist though benevolent ruler and the people were socially free though economically and politically restricted to the point that disidents would disappear. A gold discovery confiscated for the good of the nation and a space weapons project had promised security for both countries.
