What happened to Hank's little brother Good Hank (G.H.) ?
I haven't seen him on the show in a year or two. He should be a toddler or first grader by now, right?

Oddly, King of the Hill has sorta pulled a Simpsons wherein the characters age whenever it's convenient, but otherwise stay the same.
Theoretically, Bobby should be 20 years old and in college by now, assuming they went by the system where each season=one year in KOTH time. It seems like once Bobby entered high school, time pretty much stood still. I'm still waiting for a graduation episode.
About G.H.: I haven't seen him for a while either. I've only seen about half of the Season 8 episodes, though- he might be featured in a couple of those.

I know the age changing isn't "realtime", but, KOTH's age changing is akin to that of Boy Meets World (Where they sometimes skipped years), so they must have made him at least a kindergartner by now.
Why I brought this up is because FX ran the episodes where Peggy recovers from her parachute malfunction and I thought to myself "Whatever happened to G.H.?".

They showed G.H. in the episode where Hank and Peggy become bikers (Bobby has to stay with Cotton and is forced to take a bath with his little uncle), and I think there was an episode last year where Cotton mentioned that Didi and G.H. had gone to stay with her folks for a while.
KotH doesn't have as much episode-to-episode continuity now as it did in the first five seasons, though they'll still bring back characters and storylines occasionally. I think part of that, apart from changes in the writing staff, is that the longer a show goes the more they have a backlog of stories to tell, which means that a story that goes into the pipeline might not actually get made for years. It's like The Simpsons in that respect.

It's been a while since I've seen all the episodes, so I had forgotten that either Didi had left Cotton or something similar. I know... I have to read the episode guide, badly.

Bobby hasn't entered high school yet--only in that one episode where he said he was a senior ("Kidney Boy"). I think the main reason Bobby quit growing at 13 was because if his voice changes, people won't like it.

I'd rather them age this way. Isn't Bobby now 14, though?

Yeah, Jaime is right, that's the last time we saw GH. I don't mind so much that we don't see him or Didi. They do live 2 hours away from Arlen. However, I was kinda wondering when we'd see them again as Cotton often shows up without them.

Aside from the fact that he still has temporary "new" hobbies (some of which are actually for girls), he aged from 11 to 13 for the first few years without any significant change. As of now, Bobby's been stuck at age 13 for almost 5 years!
And at this point, Bobby's voice has become so screechy that it's somewhat annoying to hear anymore.
I understand that the writers want to keep the characters consistent with the fans' interests, which is why most characters in Springfield have stayed the same age for the past 17 years. But I feel as if Bobby is falling behind the other characters in Arlen. They had one episode where Connie had her first period, and another where Joseph had a growth spurt. And Luanne, who started out at 18 (or 19) when the show began, turned 21 two years ago.
I'm hoping before the series ends, Bobby can have SOME form of entry into puberty, and he, Connie, and Joseph can head on to high school (something like how the characters from Daria went to college when that show ended). That would be one of few excellent ways to close out the series.
As for Good Hank, it seems as if the whole idea of Cotton and Didi having a baby was wasted if the writers hardly do anything with the baby. They still have Cotton stories, where he's now beginning to reveal his softer side, but Didi and G.H. are now just useless prop characters.

Speaking of continuity, they sorta screwed up on Luanne's time spent at Arlen Community College.
She enrolled into ACC in 1999, and should've graduated in 2001 (seeing as how community college enrollment is half of the regular university enrollment). But when she dropped out in 2004, Hank said that Luanne had been at the college for 2.5 years, even though by then, it had been about 5 years.

I guess it wasn't classy enough, like say, The Swan.

I heard that a few years ago the writers were going to have Bobby experience the joys of masturbation but Fox apparantly nixed the idea. I guess it wasn't classy enough, like say, The Swan. How on Earth would they do that episode?! You couldn't even have a scene where the camera is above his stomach because it would still be too suggestive. About the only way it would work is Hank opens the door to the bathroom and does his trademark "Bwaaaaaaahhh!!!!" and then is too embarrased to say the M word to Bobby...
Adults dealing with masturbation on TV is one thing, but pre-teens dealing with it is completely another. Fox would get swarmed with angry letters crying child porn, even if the episode weren't to show ANYTHING and have everything revealed in conversation. It's just the way America is- hesitant about anything remotely sexual involving children.

I think the producers must have had an idea in mind but Fox was too nervous.

Mission Hill had an episode dealing with Kevin masturbating. Of course that show did not last very long.

The fact that people try to pretend that masturbation doesn't exist only makes teens want to do it more.
The issue should be handled the same way as sex ed. If the concept is put into context, people SHOULD be more tolerant of it.

Theoretically, ANY subject can be approached in a good manner given the right context and good writing. And KOTH has had a good track record of this. However, keep in mind that KOTH airs in the 7/6c PM slot, where standards are probably enforced more strictly. Remember the Futurama episode that got delayed a full year and then aired in a later time slot? If this episode were made, the same could happen here.
