If anyone saw Oprah today (2-24-05) you may have noticed that the final song used was that that was used on the Spring/Summer Saturday Night Action Lineup Promo.

Does anyone know the name of this song?

Well, at least I'm not the only Toon Zone member who watches Oprah.

But, to answer your question, no.

And, I'd like to know where Oprah gets her bumper music.

Was it the one where the anime characters danced on the commercial (that really crappy one) to the Sealab "Uh Oh" background music without the uh ohs? If so, that'd be funny alone seeing Sealab parodying that. :D Or the one waaay back when Yu Yu Hakusho and Gundam shows were on AS?

If not, then I have no clue.

Yeah, it's the "Uh-oh" song.

Everyone wants to know what that song is and who performs, but nobody knows.

Yeah, I saw this when my Mom was watching it.

They probably get their music from a license-free service. Sorta like how people get their images from ClipArt.com or those gigantic boxes at the computer store for a small fee.

I can't remember where, but I swear I heard a lot of the background music from MegasXLR like the episode opener stuff/episode resolution where everything is okay. I think it was in a commercial someplace.

At any rate, a lot of music gets reused and they come from some service. I'm not gonna bother digging up the thread, but I remember we discussed about the music from the original Adult Swim opener (the one with the old people swimming). Someone found it and it was from some fee-based subscription service online that had a large collection of themes and background music for scoring shows and movies. It's probably where WS gets all their music. If someone could dig that link up again, that'd be great.

It's not license-free. They license the music from Extreme Music. Disney has used the track as well. It is extremely expensive because it's corporate licensing for television and radio, with all copyright fees factored in, and needledrop fees considered.

A lot of local area commercials and SOMETIMES major commercials will utilize BUYOUT music which is not LICENSE free but is ROYALTY free; however, copyright royalties still have to be paid to ASCAP/BMI if the track is used on television.

Whoops. I meant to say royalty. Yeah, you're right. I was thinking of something else.

Wal-Mart also uses the music for their DVD releases in-store.

Like how CBS used to use the music from ZOIDS CC?
