It was announced earlier today, that rock legend and ex Beatle GEORGE HARRISON has passed away in L.A. due to a long bout with cancer.Harrison was 58.

I'm probably going to watch Help! DVD today in honor of George Harrison.

I heard that this morning. Very sad, I love the Beatles. George's later stuff was pretty good too. In fact, I'm listening to the classic rock station right now, and they are playing a marathon of Beatles in honor of Harrison, with song titles represented alphabetically, A-Z. Guess his guitar gently weeps today, for sure. :(

On George Harrison (son of Harry Harrison) passing on due to cancer...

Whimper, whimper...

And no one has said anything about it, but George was a heavy smoker for a lot of years... I guess he and the other Beatles missed the anti-smoking cartoons.

My heart goes out to his widow (Olivia), son (Dhani), and fellow ex-Beatles Paul and Ringo (Richie to his pals).
