View Full Version : How do I get to be a "Senior Member?"

Hey,
I saw some guys who've been here a while with large post counts refer to themselves as "Senior Members." I always assumed you had to be here a while to get that honor.
Well, Paul Cousins is a "Senior Member," and while his post count is 300 larger than mine, he's been here for four months less than I have!
So, how do I qualify to be a "Senior Member?" Stature? Post count? Over the age of 65? Or am I reading too much into it and can declare myself one any time I want?
Clarification would be helpful.
Thanks!

The default title you get when you join is "newbie" and it changes as you get more posts. Most people just change their title, but some leave it on default. In your CP you can check a box to revert yours to default, I think. It's under "edit profile." But I could be wrong. =/

Not 100% sure, but I believe if you get 1,000 posts or more, your title changes to "Senior member". Of course, since you have a custom title anyway, "Senior member" can't override it. I think if you were to delete that custom title, it would automatically change to "Senior Member", because there always has to be something in that space.

Thank you both. It IS my default member title. Now it's time to go lording my seniority over the newbies...JUSTICE Lording, that is.
(just kidding, really.)
Only DCU Mods are allowed to be Justice Lords. It's our world, you just live it. ;)

And here I was thinking you were more like the garbage men, cleaning up the trash that we members leave in the threads.... Servants of the people so to speak.
Not like us Drawing Board mods of course! Now if there was ever a true set of Justice Lords it would be them (and of course, I am there Justice King). :D

Yeah, senior member after 1000 posts. It's a silly software mandate since quanity no by confirms quality of posts and membership. I think that's another reason why custom titles are so good, they allow members to be individual and it's that individuality which makes a good community, not excessive posters like me.

Well, we could always adapt a Logan's Run rule and decapitate anyone with 10,000+ posts. :p

Or even better, we could utterly adapt the Logan's Run rule and kill anyone over 30. How about that, old man? :D
