We all want to visit some country for one reason or another, so what places would you love to visit one day. For me it would be

England: for the castles
Egypt: for the pyramids
Australia: because its so different
Kenya: to see all the wild animals and Mt Kilimanjaro
Morrocco: It just looks facinating
Nepal: same reason as Morrocco
Sheboygan, Wisconsin: Because I said so. :p and I wanted to see if you were paying attention.

Hmm. I don't really want to visit any country, as I'm fine with just living in the US. But if I had to pick one, maybe Germany. It's where some of my ancestors come from, plus it has some pretty cool things like castles. But I'm fine with just staying here.

Lately I have been wanting to plan a trip to Asia sooooo badly. I want to go to India and Myanmar (Burma)...it all looks so beautiful and exotic. Plus I am super fascinated with Asian religions, most of their followers exhibit so much self control and commitment (especially compared to us Americans who are notorious for putting our social lives before our faith).

I'd like to visit England. I wouldn't mind visiting Australia either, since I have a friend who lives there.

Now that I think about it, I'd even visit Japan if I knew how to speak Japanese.

I would love to see Japan, Germany, France, England, Australia, and well, the list goes on. But Japan and Germany are on the top of the list.

There are a lot of countries I'd like to visit for the natural and historical wonders many of them contain, but whether it's the general intolerance of Americans or the outright danger I think I'll be staying here for the forseeable future.

For me? Japan, China, and most of Western Europe.

First of all, I'd like to visit the following places not only to experience their cultures, but because they speak English...

UK: The streets of London, the hills of Ireland, and the bleak windiness of Scotland. Not so much Wales, though.

Canada: It'd only take me about 2 days (tops) to drive there, and I might consider moving to Vancouver to jump-start my acting career. Hollywood may be closer, but it's too... um... evil there. Plus, come on! Free health care? My taxes might be higher, but at least I'd actually have decent health care.

Australia: Come on, it's Australia! I heard that country is great to live in... if you ignore the heatstroke you'll eventually get every December. ;)

However, if I were to go to any non-English speaking countries, these would be my first choices...

Italy: Strictly for the food and women.

Japan: Where I can nerd it up by wasting every dollar in my name on electronics with instructions that I cannot understand. This includes videogames.

Some place in Africa: Just for the sake of saying I went to Africa.

Mexico: It'd only take me at least a full day to get there (I live in Northern California... practically 2 days from each border, not including the ocean).

Oh there are so very many places I'd like to visit! Almost all that I want to visit are in Europe.

Off the top of my head: Poland, Germany, France, Canada, Greece, Japan, and United Kingdom.

One thing I would really like to do is just travel for a year. Just going everywhere I can and see all that I can. I am definitely going to Germany and France at least once in this lifetime, and I'm going to Canada as soon as possible (which will sadly be awhile).

heh... I wish. it's a place I'd LOVE to be, but unfortunately I don't have that kind of money (and I don't speak German either). South Africa in 2010 is a more realistic goal. I plan to make a serious effort to get there.

I guess I would be jumping on the bandwagon if I say that I'd love to go to Japan. My reason is I've got a pen-pal from Japan, and I'd love to meet her. I've never been abroad before, the only places I've been to are in my own country (Enlgand).

I would like to visit Japan and Cuba. Japan seems like a very interesting nation with its culture, and I'm of Cuban descent and I have relatives living in Cuba that I've never met. It would also be an opportunity to see my culture firsthand because let's just say I'm not exactly the biggest fan of being a Hispanic.:D

I've currently been to the following countries:

-Canada (4 provinces)
-United States (12 states)
-Mexico (5 states)
-Cuba
-Haiti
-Dominican Republic
-The Bahamas

That said, I would like to travel and visit more locales in all of these countries, particularly the larger three I listed on top. Despite my extensive travels there, there is so much left for me to see of my own country and the US. Heck, even Mexico - once you've seen one beach you've seen 'em all, but now that I'm planning on visiting Mexico City itself, it oughta be interesting.

I'd pretty much go anywhere I could, but these are the areas I'd most like to visit:

-The UK (England, Scotland, Ireland)
-France
-Spain
-Italy
-Greece
-Germany
-Sweden
-Iceland
-Russia
-Egypt
-Morrocco
-South Africa
-Israel/Palestine
-Iraq (believe it or not, I'd like to check it out when the war is over)
-India
-Thailand
-Australia
-New Zealand
-China
-Japan
-Korea (north or south...right now, south)
-Panama
-Jamaica
-Brazil
-Argentina
-Peru
-Chile
-ANTARTICA!!! (it's not a country, but it counts.)
-THE MOON (it's not on this planet, but I'd visit if I could!)

There are ethical issues involved with visiting Myanmar but I hear from friends that India is incredible. And the best part is you don't even have to learn another language.

P.S. Go Socal.

Now that I think about it, I'd even visit Japan if I knew how to speak Japanese.

Feh. Not knowing Japanese didn't stop me. ;) Just look cute and lost and someone will eventually help you. Or you'll end up sleeping on the street. But probably the former.

But Japan and Germany are on the top of the list.

What, no Italy?

Then again, Mussolini was a pussy.

There are a lot of countries I'd like to visit for the natural and historical wonders many of them contain, but whether it's the general intolerance of Americans or the outright danger I think I'll be staying here for the forseeable future.

No, you should go so that people will see that Americans aren't all jerks. And there are plenty of people out there who like Americans. There are even French people who like Americans. Just go and the vast majority of people will either be friendly or mutter at you under their breath. But you'll never know for yourself if you just stick around here.

Some place in Africa: Just for the sake of saying I went to Africa.

I hear Botswana is really cool as long as you a) have money and b) don't have sex with anyone.

I've already visited Mexico. Here are a few other countries I would like to visit in my lifetime:

Italy
Safari in Africa
Spain
South America - see the rainforests
Austrailia - See all the unique animals that cannot be found anywhere else
Germany - Attend an Oktoberfest event
Ireland - Visit the beautiful green, Irish countryside
Japan - See the scenic mountains

I had the oppurtunity a few years back to study in St. Petersburg for the summer, but was unable to. I'll probably end up in France for a semester abroad for the purposes of furthering my French language study, plus maybe art. And, of course, there's Japan, specifically Hokkaido ( I hope to be an anthropologist studying the Ainu and other northern hemisphere indigenous tribes someday). Other places I wanna visit:

UK (esp. Scotland)
Ireland
Canada
Southeast Asia (I really want to volunteer for the relief effort over there)
Africa (I would also like to do some humanitarian work there as well
Lithuania (for some family research, mostly)
Romania
Italy
