It’s been a phenomenon in Europe for over 20 years, but in America, XIII (that’s “13,” and yes, your fourth grade teacher is disappointed in you for not remembering your Roman numerals, by the way) is probably best known as a videogame released by UBISoft with some fairly decent graphics that owed to its comic book past, as well as rather fun gameplay. While a few on this side of the Atlantic knew of the secret agent with no memory and a number instead of a name, to the larger American comic book audience, XIII was still an unknown.

That changes in June when Alias begins American publication of XIII, bringing the story to a wide audience where it will get its chance to make an impact. We spoke with Alias’ Mike S. Miller for more information on the deal. They have an interview (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=27393&highlight=XIII) with Alias editor Mike Miller that contains more details.

Anybody else excited by this? I learned about XIII through Ubi Soft's videogame (which I thoroughly enjoyed), and am looking forward to checking out the comic.
