Every one of my days until January or February is booked, and I have absolutely no time for hobbies. When I do have time, though, I like
-writing (mostly horror stories. I actually have a lot of free time for that, since my friends won't come near me when I'm writing anymore :D )
-reading (A LOT)
-singing (people tell me I have a falsetto voice.....Uh-huh. Right. They must have a false set a' ears, 'cause my voice is terrible. And I mean BAAAAAAAD!)
-acting (well....okay, that's one of the things I'm busy with....but who says work can't be pleasure?)
-dancing (DON'T YOU EVEN DARE)
-practicing violin (not as much as I should), guitar (unless a string breaks, which happens...oh....every other Tuesday), and piano (of course, I just PRETEND that I know how to play it... ;) )
-Thinking (which is actually a rather useful hobby!)

As much of my free time as possible goes towards playing the guitar. Hmm, besides that I play a lot of sports, or at least I used to. Lately it's been mostly football and basketball. Oh and I recently started taking Karate which is pretty cool.

Er, maybe you know this, but falsetto is when you make your voice sound higher than it naturally is. Like if a boy sang really high like a girl, then it would be falsetto. Girls can do it too, of course, but in chorus in high school, it was more common for the boys to have to do some very mild falsetto because they didn't have very wide range.
-dancing (DON'T YOU EVEN DARE)
Well, I wuz gonna ask you to cha-cha, but...
-Thinking (which is actually a rather useful hobby!)

Maybe she meant soprano? Although when girls sing without their diaphragms, their voice comes out all high and thin, and that's kind of like a falsetto too. (It's a bad way of singing, but it's easy)
Danielle

I *do* mean falsetto......if you've seen the Marx Brothers...
Chico Marx: "Say, you sing pretty high, there."
Woman: "Why yes, I have a falsetto voice."
Chico Marx: "Funny, my last student had a falsetto teeth."
As you can guess, my parents love to pull me on that all the time......I'll admit, I have a pretty high voice. However, I don't have a falsetto voice....I have one of those up-and-down voices that never seem to stay on tune.... ;)

Yup! Toldja I was weird! :p Actually, a lot of my thinking consists of the other hobby I've mentioned; writing. So now you will believe that I sometimes fail tests thinking. ;)
Ooooohhhhh! I forgot to add that! I'm actually adding more of my hobbies for no apparant reason!
-watching cartoons and various old movies that other people my age wouldn't DREAM of watching....
-football (almost forgot that. :D )
-baseball
-hockey
-indoor volleyball (I especially like the part when it goes CRASH!!! :D [I need an evil smilie....])
-basketball (I'm awfully tall for my age....and towering over all my classmates isn't necessarily a good position....)
-soccer ("Look! Steven Spielberg!" "Where?!......Wait, I don't see---HEY!!!")
-getting sick (seriously, this occurs so often, it's become a hobby. At this moment I'm trying to stop a barrage of green slimy stuff from flowing out of my nose.........OH, YUCK! SOMETHING FELL ON THE KEYBOARD! EWWWWWWWWW, GET IT OFF, GET IT OFF!!!!

Another post where I talk about myself? I'M THERE! ;) I'm not saying I'm self obsessed, but... Oh, sorry. I caught a glance of myself in the mirror and was temporarily mesmerized. :p
-I spend a healthy chunck of my free time here, of course.
-Lately I've been exercising a LOT. I'm starting to look like one of those guys Nightflower's affaid of. :p Actually, I'm not exercising as much as I was in highschool. I've just gotten smarter about how I exercise. So, I'm doing less and getting better results.
-I've been into martial arts for a long time and train steadily in a kind of Karate/Jeet Kune Do blend.
-I listen to music the entire time I'm in my apartment. No tv you know.
-I write; screenplays. Haven't sold one yet.
-I have a few friends who I hang out with now and again, but I'm pretty much a loner.
-Cooking. More of a necessity than a hobby, really. Living alone, I have to cook. Though I do enjoy it. That saying; "There's no more satisfying meal than the one you cook yourself," is very true.
-I take long walks.
That's about it. :D

x) Watching Anime and cartoons - I've been watching animation since I was a wee tike. I remember getting up at 6am on saturday just so I could catch Bugs Bunny.
x) Reading - I don't read as much as I used to, though. Too busy or just too lazy, I guess. But I do love to curl up with a good mystery or fantasy novel (and the occasional manga [comic book]).
x) Drawing - Doesn't mean I'm very good at it :p I mostly draw in the style of manga or anime, and sometimes I'll conjure up a mini comic book.
x) Writing - I'm told that I'm very good at this from family, friends, and teachers. I don't think so, though. But I love to do it. It's a great way for me to express myself.
x) Shopping - Is this a hobby? Anyway, it's fun to spend a day at the mall! But somehow the magic is gone when you go with no money ;)
x) Web Surfing and Web Page Creating - I could spend all day doing this! I love to look at other peoples pages, and create my own! It's a passion I may never rub off!
When I was in high school, I was in the Drama Club. I love acting, but they never gave me any speaking roles :o

Let see, here it goes...
Singing-I'm in a group at school. I really enjoy it, except for the choreography part, I can't dance at all and my teacher always finds something that I'm doing wrong. :( Anyway, we do lots of performances...especially at Christmas...next week is when our Christmas schedule begins and we have a different concert almost everyday of the week, until near the end of the month!
Field hockey-I play field hockey in the fall. It's really fun, except for our really scary varsity coach!
Computer-yep, I spend way too much time on the computer...especially web surfing and being on these boards. I also like I few games, the few my stupid computer can actually run. The Sims is my current favorite, great game! :p
TV
Movies
Video Games-My dad pretty much collects video game and systems, so I grew up playing video games. I still love 'em when I have the time.
Animals-I love animals. I work part time at my parents' Animal Hospital. I'm considering being a vet or something like it as a career...
I also have a great cat, Tuffy (hence, my name) who's really sweet.
That's about it I suppose. Now you all about my secret life!! :p

Kinda, funny...here in VA it's 70 degrees and it's almost December (weird even for down south) and we're going through a drought. Sorry, very off topic, but I thought it was interesting that your weather sounds like its the complete opposite of ours.

On a regular everyday basis:
- Surf the net
- Sleep
- Hang out with friends
- Reading of some sort, whether it be for pleasure or work
- Listening to music
When I feel like it or get the opportunity:
- playing piano, not an easy instrument to travel with so I play if someone has a piano or if there's a public one sitting in a lounge somewhere.
- playing violin, compared to the piano I suck and I also like playing with other people. So I usually don't pick it up unless there's someone to play with me.
- latch hook kit. A good friend gave me this kit as a "thank you for everything" gift. I started in the summer and it's only half way done right now. I have to finish it by the end of winter break or else I never will. :p
- drawing, I do sketches and pencil drawings of my own original work, and She-Ra.
For Recreation:
- Tai Chi
- Hip Hop
I'm thinking of adding yoga or trying out a different type of martial arts next quarter. :)

Probably my biggest hobby is squandering time. At least that's what it seems like. :p
Seriously though, I love drawing and camping out on the computer, singing (though not in a group or anything), occasionally playing video games, and I'd really like to get back into reading, which is something I haven't done much of lately.

Latch hook is rug making. I have one of those that I've been working on for about five years. :)
My hobbies include:
Reading, usually historical or fantasy/faery tale fiction
Internet
Playing piano
Anything involving art (drawing, painting, sculpting...)
Watching movies, especially old Audrey Hepburn flicks or 80s films
Listening to music, and I love to have a wide variety
Going out with friends
And recently I've taken up jumping rope, because I need to exercise after spending all frickin' day behind a monitor. :p

Yeup, latch hook is rug making like Oracle said, and it's called a latch hook kit because you use a tool call a latch hook to make it. It'll look like a piece of carpet with a design on it when I finish. Mine is a portrait of a white tiger. After it's all finish, I'll have to decide what to do with it, either a wall hanging or a pillow. It's too nice to use as a rug. :)

I love doing latch hook too, except I can never find the time to do it. It's funny, because the one I've been working on for about two years now (and haven't gotten very far on :p ) is a portrait of an orange tiger! :D Anyway, my mom is much better and more dedicated at it than I am...she got this HUGE one (I mean , really, really, really huge) of a nativity scene last year after Christmas and had it finished by this summer! Now we get to hang it up for Christmas and it looks really beautiful! :)

But, there are a lot of people that love to take bubble baths .
It's like a great way to indulge into complete relaxation.
Also Twilight you mention that you like to play the violin with other people,
me too, I've been playing the violin for 3 years now and I'm pretty good at it . my bow technique is fairly good. But, I wish I can play the piano, it looks so fun.
And the movie was called princess mononoke ,it's really good
I recommend it.

Okay, now I've finally got time to properly respond to this. My hobbies:
The outdoors. As much as I can, I try to take long walks down nature trails, it's extremely relaxing. And, once a year, a few friends and I like to canoe down the Buffalo River. It's really wonderful... there are plenty of rapids that make things exciting, but plenty of calm areas where you can just drift along and enjoy the scenery.
Reading. Just about anything. Right now I've finally been able to get a hold of A Confederacy of Dunces, and I'm loving every minute of it. I'm also a media junkie, at least when it comes to print news. I'll soak up the stuff from Harper's, Salon, Rolling Stone, and even Entertainment Weekly... and at work one of my favorite ways to procrastinate is to surf the news wires and find obscure stories no one will ever print.
Exercising. I started in college because I got tired of being chubby, but I keep doing it because it's a great way to relieve stress. I'm not a big slab of beef and I certainly don't live in the gym, but I do okay.
Video games. Another good way to relieve stress is beating the crap out of pixelated foes. Right now I'm digging Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Rogue Squadron 2.
Good conversation. Thats why I like hanging around here!

Yeah. I play the violin too (four to five years), but I REALLY want to learn how to play piano. Especially ragtime, but I think I'd better take it one step at a time. :D The weird thing is, that all my friends who play piano are saying things like "Ohmigosh, you play violin? I wish I could do that!" It seems that whatever instrument you play, you're always envying someone who plays another instrument.

I used to play the violin, but as more things started taking up time in my life, that gradually became less important. I haven't picked it up in a long time. Maybe one of these days i'll give it a whirl again.
