Stargate SG-1 "Citizen Joe" Talkback (Spoilers)

Season 8 of Stargate SG-1 is here, and while it may not be the final ride for General Jack O'Neil, Colonel Samantha Carter, Dr. Daniel Jackson, and Teal'c, they'll still have their hands full protecting the Earth from the Gao'uld and the Replicators!

Something happens to Jack which sends him into the mind of this guy named Joe (played by Dan Castellanetta), in which we see various events from the past few seasons played out, but with some new tidbits offered! Sweet! Also, we find out the true fate of the first Stargate spin-off show: Wormhole X-Treme!

I love how everyone's complaints later on are exactly what some fans of the show have been complaining about. The character interaction isn't what it used to be, and how many times can they save the world from Apophis? It's rich. I also like how Wormhole Xtreme was cancelled after one episode.

One thing I've always liked about this show is its way to make a darn good clip show. They never do anything corny like: Sam and Jack are trapped on a broken ship saying "hey, remember the time we did so and so?" followed by "oh yeah..." *cut to flashback* "But that's not as crazy as the time we..." *cut to flashback*

Plus, come on! It's Dan Castelleneta!

That was a great episode. Jack and Joe viewing each others lives. I am really interested weather or not Joe will every appear again.

This episode was awesome. Stargate hasn't been this self-reflexive in a long time, if ever. I'd like to see Joe again...the Air Force would be crazy not to use his Ancient genes for countless unforseen plot developments later in the series.

A predictable episode that addressed fans that complain the show's predictable. Standard clipshow, even for SG1. Felt kinda like the Wormhole X-treme episodes mixed with "The Other Guys"(Nerd dream episode).

Only Jack could make the ending work though.

That was probably the most brilliant idea for a clip show epsiode I have ever seen.

I wouldn't even have known that was Dan Castelleneta if I hadn't been watching the credits.
