Now it's cool that Nintendo and Namco have been buddy-buddy, but I think Nintendo should give it a rest. Namco has already been making quite a bit of games for Nintendo (Donkey Konga Series, the recent Star Fox, Link in Soul Calibur 2, and aren't they also helping with Mario Baseball?) Can't we let Sega, Capcom, or yourself give it a try instead?

Nonetheless, I'm still interested and I'll definitely play it. I like the Pac-Man, now who else is Namco putting in?

They should have conceived this idea when they conceived Mario Kart DD. But judging from GX's lack of success on the Cube and AX's lack of success at the arcade makes me skeptical of this.

However, it has potential I'll give it that.

What we really need is a Smash Bros. arcade game. Maybe one that has more than just Nintendo characters in it. That'd be wicked awesome.

It's too bad the arcade industry is on its deathbed, because this looks cool.

You know what would have been really crazy? If this Mario Kart had characters from Mario, Pac-Man, Sonic, AND Megaman. Think about it, with the exception of Pac-Man (until now) they have all had kart racing games (Megaman's didn't make it to America, but I think is unlockable in the upcoming Megaman X Collection), Nintendo has worked with all those companies (Sega: F-Zero, Capcom: GBC and GBA Zeldas, Namco: You Know). The ultimate crossover!

But for Sonic and Mario, I want a platformer with those two. I bet if you put Shigeru Miyamoto and Yuji Naka together (I hope most of the ideas personally are from Miyamoto) they can come up with a really cool title.

This is cool but I hope it will be ported to the Gamecube.

This is cool but I hope it will be ported to the Gamecube. It's possible, but I doubt it. Two Mario Kart games on one system would be redundant (even for Nintendo). This won't be out until Fall, so it would take them a little while to port it. We wouldn't get it until 2006, so I'd say a Revolution port is much more likely.

If this can actually be found in arcades, I'll try it out. But Nintendo's last try with AX leaves me a bit skeptical. They should try putting it in movie theater arcades.

A Mario Kart arcade game is a cool idea. I agree, and also I think long overdue. This sounds really cool, and I'll definitely try it out if I ever come to find one.

I don't know that Nintendo would have that much control over it-- my understanding is that those places as buys arcade machines, buys them. Nintendo can't just "put" them wherever they want, unless I'm greatly mistaken.
