I don't get the PM box anymore...

Now, I can't tell whenever I get a PM. I have to look at the top of the screen, but sometimes I miss it and a person waits days for a reply. What happened to the box telling you you got a PM?

Check your use control panel and make sure that the option for PM Notification is still set.

To get there, click the "User CP" link (right underneath the board heirarchy links, in the same table as the user/last visit/PM Info). From there, select "Edit Options" and check that the very last checkbox in the "Messaging & Notification" section is checked.

If it's not checked, check it... if it is checked, lemme know and we can investigate further.

It was checked for pop up notification. But I don't get the pop ups. I wonder what's wrong?

Do you have a pop-up blocker? Maybe that'd be blocking it. =/

Nope. I get pop ups all the time.

Not sure if it would effect this but what browser do you use?

I'm just making a quick wild guess, but maybe you should check to see if your browser has Javascript enabled.

THis is becoming quite annoying.I don't know how often you restart your computer, but I had this problem once and a simple restart corrected it. I'd recommend clearing your cache files, your temporary internet files, and your cookies (remembering that you will then need to manually log in next time); and then restarting your computer.

Of course, if this process is something you do regularly (multiple times a day), then it's probably something else.
