Since they were compromised (their hero status), when the police came to take them away, Where have they been? With all of the people in the JLA it would seem that someone would be able to help Long Shadow. Did Amanda Waller just let the others & the new clones die? These really were great characters whether you are a Superfriends fan or not & it would be really interesting to see the story continued to some conclusion. I hope b.t. has a suprise or 2 in store for us. :D Any speculation?

I believe they died -- that the League (and Waller) couldn't (or in Waller's case, wouldn't) save them. Now, there were more clones around for Waller et al to use for whatever they have up there sleeves -- I wouldn't be shocked if different Ultimen clones showed up at some point -- including Long Shadow.
But the original -- I think they've gone to that great super-hero group in the sky.
But maybe I'm just pessimistic today.

I don't think they're dead yet. Cadmus has probably already cloned a new team and the public is oblivious to the switcheroo, but I'd like to see either:
1) The new 100%-compliant Ultimen fighting the JLU, with the JLU being unaware they're different people.
2) The original Ultimen escaping from wherever they're being held and fight with the JLU against Cadmus before they die.
Either way, if we don't see the original Ultimen this season, we never will.

Considering the Ultimen went on a rather public rampage, I doubt that they could put the clones into play with "The public being oblivious." But I personally don't think they'd waste them. Put the clones in feature less armor, and they could still be secret warriors for the government.
I really hope the JLU could help Longshadow and that he could be in the League permanently, but I doubt it. I wouldn't be surprised if we never see those characters referenced again.

They all had fatal genetic defects, and only had a few months to live as it was. I think that all the Ultimen except for Longshadow died in some government lab -- and Longshadow likely died in the Watchtower (though we didn't get to see it :( ) a few months after he got there.
I was just watching ULTIMATUM last night and I had the same question!
Id say they are all dead or all alive. I dont think all of them died except for LS. I dont know why I have this feeling we may see them v soon ;)

I'd say there are going to make another appearance, maybe in the 4 part season finale

That's interesting! I would like to think all of them are alive, but it depends on writers/creators of the Justice League. They did have some kind of
clone-defect. We will just have to wait and see what develops.

I wonder if we will see Longshadow again. Maybe they can show Diana visiting him in the JL infirmary if he is still alive one ep or if he's dead now show us a memorial dedicated to him. Just something we see in passing in a background to let us know he has passed away.
Im positive that Longshadow and The Ultimen will be touched on again before the end of the season or atleast mentioned.

Y'know, I kinda like hte idea that someone else mentioned of them doing the "Armaggedon 2001" storyline w/ Longshadow as the Monarch.
Think about it.
We know he's got plenty to be bitter about, we know he's liable to go nuts, & we know it's possible for him to gain new powers (viz Wind Dragon.)

The big question about "are they dead yet?" has a lot to do with how quickly time passes on the show. Notice when they tell time in JLU, it's usually in "months," not "years." (with the exception of "Fearful Symmetry," where it's stated it's been "years" since "Legacy.") AMAZO references the time between "Tabula Rasa" and "The Return" as months, although it's been a whole season. "Twilight" and "The Ties That Bind," which take place even farther apart episode-wise, are also apparently only "months" apart rather than over a year, according to Granny Goodness. So maybe it's only been a month or so since the events of "Ultimatum," and they are all alive, but ailing. We definitely shouldn't rule out the possibility of the return of one or more of them.

Well it's defitnitely been long enough for the deficiencies in their cloned bodies to break up, so I think that version of Langshadow, Wind Dragon et al are gone.
I would have liked a small mention of it somewhere by WW, since she seemed close to Longshadow, but I''ll live.
As I said earlier, I don't think we'll see what happened to the Ultimen that were in 'Ultimatum' but I think a new set of Ultimen clones (by new I mean, more recent) will show up in the conspiracy's schemes later....

I would really like to see them return. Maybe the rest of them could be at death's door while the league breaks in to rescue them because someone has found a cure & wake up & see that the league is really good. This would greatly anger Amanda Waller thus prompting the infiltration by the Suicide Squad.

Like I said, we don't have any way of knowing how much time passed since "Ultimatum." In fact, it's very possible the events between "Dark Heart" and "The Doomsday Sanction" all took place within a couple of weeks.
I totally missed the Ultimen reference in last week's episode. Did Prof. Hamilton mention them at the roundtable?

One thing I'm wondering about:
Does the League know that Prof. Hamilton is a part of Cadmus? Longshadow knew who Hamilton was in "Ultimatum", and it seems like Batman would've questioned not-Apache Chief about the Ultimen project before he headed out to that great Hall of Justice in the sky.

Personally, I hope that the Ultimen don't return. To me they were pretty much a waste of time. They ranked right up there w/Solomon Grundy as characters I NEVER want to see again.

I agree! I think they fit in well with the government's contingency plan if the JLU were to ever act out-of-pocket, so to speak.
I doubt they would just have Longshadow die without even addressing it.
I loved the Ultimen episode, and I think those characters, even as B-list stars, have a lot of potential.

Superman probably put Longshadow into the Phantom Zone. It's not a cure but he would have decided it's the best way to treat Longshadow's condition. :D
The rest of them are dying or died in some Cadmus lab.

If Batman ever gets around to forming the Outsiders, maybe they'll find another Juice clone to recruit, seeing as they can't use Black Lightning, and Static's too young.
Then again, introducing the Outsiders probably isn't a good idea. There weren't that many recognizable heroes in the team, plus DCAU Metamorpho is a close friend of John Stewart, I can't see him quitting the League to follow Batman.
