Suddenly not buying the orignal DVDs seems like a good idea.
I hope they sell it with a neato box to put them in too ^_^
(Licenced OSTs would be awesome also, my imports have taken a severe beating and barely play sometimes O_o)

Bebop re-mastered? Awesome. Just like with Evangelion Platinum, I'm glad I held out.

^^^^ Ditto.
Awesome news, I've been looking for an excuse to buy these DVDs for awhile.
Once again, anime companies show you why it's smart not to buy their first release of merchandise.
I held out too...

This is all Gainax's fault.

interviews with the US voice actors and actresses
This should end a long debated question over a certain person who's already done an on-camera interview for the movie under another name...

Personally, I woulda rather'd they had waited a year for, say, HD-DVD or Blu-Ray and release the remastered versions then.
But then, I'm not a rabid consumer. So what do I know.

Yep, add a tally to the 'never bought the DVDs' column! :D

It wouldn't make a difference. Bebop can't really benefit from HD technology.
And somehow I doubt that David Lucas will appear in the extras.

Ah cool. Well, I'm glad I only bought Session 3 and The Best Sessions. Although I would've liked to have gotten The Perfect Sessions when it was available. =(

I hope for a decent video transfer this time. Being 8 years old, the original Bebop materials weren't Progressive Scan friendly.

I guess my "Perfect Sessions" weren't so perfect after all. Bleh, I'll wait for Blu-ray before I consider upgrading.

Thankfully, I only have Sessions 3 and 6.

This should be veeeeery interesting....
Perhaps they're gonna interview the entire cast, like Mary McGlynn(Julia), and Vicious's voice actor (don't remember his name), as well.
Wee! Unlike Ocean Group, the LA actors aren't afraid of video interviews!
And more DVDs to add to the wishlist. Yay. Will go great with my Movie DVD.

I'm sorta happy I only bought Session 5 now.Exactly what I did. Stupid me. A few more weeks and I would've seen Cowboy Funk on TV anyway.

Exactly what I did. Stupid me. A few more weeks and I would've seen Cowboy Funk on TV anyway.Hey, getting all the gore in Pierrot Le Fou was worth it though.
You know, I'd betcha if Bebop was on Adult Swim now instead of 2001, it would run completely uncut and unedited except for language.

Chalk me up as another person who has waited to buy these DVDs and now has a reason! Definitely looking forward to this.

Bah I bought the DVDs in their first initial US printing...ages ago...before AS was even concieved
I don't even think it counts as regretable...because how was I supposed to know that things would really take off TV-wise...

You can put one check mark in the "I'm glad I DID collect the series" column. I can't go waiting my whole life for double-dips-- in the years I've had them sitting on my shelf, my Bebop DVDs have gotten more play time than any other anime. If some unscrupulous person were to give them all the once-over with some steel wool and render them useless right now, I'd still have gotten my money's worth.
These double-dips look neat, but I'm not videophile enough to go for them myself. Maybe after I've got a nicer job, a bigger place, and am finally able to complete my home-theatre setup with a nice TV, a couple more speakers, and a sub, they'll be worth it. But in the meantime I'm plenty happy with what I've got.

To you guys who are bragging about not getting the original releases
Stop it!!!!!
No one saw this coming, at least Bandai waited four years after the show was completed to do this instead of six months to a year like ADV and Geonon have been doing.
Anyway this is cool so i'll bite, hopfully it'll be a "Vol. 1 w/ Box " deal and the box acomodates the movie

It won't, because the truth is already out there, and it's what everyone thinks.
Guess I should sell my 6 discs.

It won't, because the truth is already out there, and it's what everyone thinks.I wouldn't be surprised if Animaze has to reorganize their credits to account for the fact they went union between this release and the last one.
