Nightwing stood, brooding as he looked down at the demolished City Hall.
"Nightwing! Come in Nightwing!"
Sighing quietly, Nightwing flipped on his comlink, "What is it Batman?"
"I just heard the news. What are you planning on now?" Bruce asked quietly.
Nightwing was silent for a few moment then said softly, "I'm going to make sure they pay." then flipped off his comlink.

"What now Nightwing?" Batgirl asked as she walked up behind him. He spun quickly and glared at her, "Why does everyone keep asking me that! I said I would not be running the show, but suddenly it ends up I am!"
Batgirl stood there quietly and said softly, "I understand your frus..."
"Frustrated doesn't get to the half of it!" Nightwing yelled, "Tim was my responsibility! No matter which way you look at it, he was mine to watch over when Batman wasn't around!" he turned and looked down at the ground, "And I let him down."
Batgirl stood quietly, unsure of what to say.

Jake stood quietly, a smirk on his face as he smoked a cigar and looked out over Gotham. Hearing something, he glanced over his shoulder to see his henchmen, "What do you want boys?"
"What are we gonna do now boss? You got the mayor like you wanted, so what's the plan now?"
Jake looked over the city, "For a few more hours I will simply enjoy having beaten everyone... Batman, Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and the Gotham P.D. Then we will leave to go to another city where we don't have to worry about stupid masked heros."
The boys looked at each other, then one of them spoke up, "SO what do we do with the kid?"
Jake nodded, his face going serious, "He was an unexpected development... take him down to the docks and leave him. His friends will find him eventually, I'm sure. No... wait. We don't want to be that out in the open. Put him on the roof of this building, right before we leave."
The men nodded, "Yes sir." and headed downstairs.
Jake turned and smiled coldly, "Witnesses are never the way to go." then he walked downstairs to behind his own... preperations.

(4 hours later)
Jake stood beside the men. They had already placed Robin on the building roof, and were heading downstairs. Jake let the men walk in front of him, then drew his silenced pistol. Four quick shots, and four more bodies were stretched out on the floor. Jake smiled coldly, then walked over and began pouring gasoline over the building. After 10 minutes, he walked out the door, taking time to toss his cigar behind him and light the building. Then he calmly drove away towards Gotham Airport.

Nightwing stood alone looking over Gotham... Batgirl had headed back to the cave to see what she could find. Nightwing glanced around, and his eyes suddenly locked on flames shooting out of a building. Lifting a pair of binoculars quickly he scanned the building and saw something that made his heart chill... Robin was tied up on the roof! Nightwing threw down his binoculars and took a running leap off of the building, to being flying swiftly over to where Robin was. Landing easily, he felt the old building shudder and he knew it was about read to collapse. Completely silent, his eyes hard he dove towards Robin just as the roof gave way.
Nightwing's arms wrapped around Robin at the same moment he fired off his grappling hook. Pushing the button the were pulled out of the flaming abyss. The collapsed in an alley way, both coughing from breathing so much smoke.
"Thanks... Nightwing..." Robin said a little breathless. "I didn't... think anyone would... make it."
Nightwing smiled slightly, "Sometimes we're good... sometimes we're just lucky."

Jake entered the Gotham Airport looking like any other person. He moved towards the bording ramp when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned to find Batgirl staring at him. "Can I help you, Miss?" he asked without batting an eyelash.
