well, shes been around, so whats your favorite take on our feline fatal? to refresh any minds that need refreshing, heres some of her many incarnations...

Catwoman #1 from today.
the previous catwoman series
BTAS catwoman
TNBA Catwoman
Batman Returns Catwoman
Frank Miller Catwoman
Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale Catwoman
Julie Newmar Catwoman
hmm, am i missing any?? maybe the old school catwoman w/ the cape, although i dont know anything about that.

I love all of them, and i REALLY loved Julie Newmar's catwoman back in my adolescent years (if you get my meaning, and i think that ya do), but i'm a real fan of Jeph Loeb and Timm Sale's take on Catwoman. I think they really make her shine, making her the perfect counter-part to batman. She's tough as hell in their comics, muscular, almost looking like a man. She's got her claws intertwined with every thing in the LH and DV stories, like shes involved w/ bats, the freaks, the mob, she has and impact on them all. Plus their Selina Kyle is hot as hell. again, shes made into the perfect counterpart to bruce wayne. seriously, i think Tim Sale draws the sexiest selina kyle. plus their selina is majorly (well all her versions are) disturbed and dark, like bruce. i just think the loeb/sale version rocks.

as far as the others go, i love them all, although i always wanted btas to have more catwoman villian stories. and i loved today's first issue, it kicked butt. so whats YOUR favorite catwoman/selina kyle incarnation???

I've only seen Catwoman from TAS, NBA, and one in the "Contagion" comic series where she had this purple suit and her hair was loose and everything. Anyway, the comic version would do, follow by TAS.

As far as the animated style books and show, I like the B:TAS version of Selina/Catwoman.

In the comcis, I prefer Miller's version, but Loeb/Sale's version is great too.

My favorite version of Catwoman was the one featured in Batman Returns. She was a real person, and what a person (Michelle Pfiffer :) )! I loved the costume, the lines, her interaction with both Bruce and Batman, and her reappearance at the end of the film! B: TAS was good, but her costume wasn't as great, and neither was "Cat Scratch Fever". TNBA Catwoman was a total skankasaurous! She kissed everyone, and the whole Thomas Blake thing was a little silly. I would be tempted to write Catwoman from her spinn-off series, cause the outfit looks great, but...oh that's right...They never made the show! Grrrr >:(

Batman Returns and the BTAS Catwoman are my favorite versions of the character.

But you know...the one on the old Batman show had alot going for her too. I think in the end, I'd have to say the one from the old Batman show!

Animated: BTAS
Comics: Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale version( this is probably my favorite overall)

My personal fav is B:TAS. I'm surprised that's so popular, I figured the latex clad Michelle Pfiffer would take the cake, but I just love the original B:TAS catwoman for some reason. When I first watched it I wished she had a black costume, but now I love the gray.

Well, I'm partial to the blond Selina Kyle (Batman Returns; Michelle Pfiffer was great), but I really like her portrayl in The Long Halloween (Jeph Loeb/Tim Sale) where she's sometimes helpful, sometimes a villain, and always a troublemaker.

The Cat and The Claw was probably her best animated series appearance but, costume wise, she just looks perfect in her black bodysuit from TNBA (I hated her purple bodysuit [with the hair spilling out] from the comics!). You Scratch My Back and Catwalk were also good.
