The midnight hour is getting crowded as of late. You got Toonami Midnight Run with Dragon Ball Z and something after it (right now, it's Gundam 0080). Now, the series that cemented Spumco Animation on the American consciousness, will once again grace our television screens.
The series, which premiered ten years ago this year as part of an ambitious project known as Nicktoons, will air every weeknight at the midnight hour in the East, but NOT on Nickelodeon (you can't be surprised . . . the series hasn't aired on the network in over a year). According to Cartoon Research (http://www.cartoonresearch.com), Ren and Stimpy will air weeknights on VH1 in December right until New Year's Eve. That's right. For those keeping count, this is the THIRD MTV Network the series has aired on (aside from Nickelodeon, R&S had a brief stay on MTV), and the second Nicktoon to air on the, um, music network (back when the net was still aimed towards yuppie folks, Rugrats had a brief stay on VH1).
So, scream 'til your lungs fall out, play with your log, and don't whiz on the electric fence. The bad boys of animation has returned!
