Get your cash ready! Why? :p

Actually, I'll probably get MoO. For the cowgirls. ;)

People didn't already know? With what's currently being released, these two aren't worth giving up a current show for. But if I had been free a slot Melody of Obvlion would have been considered. It's pretty average but alright.

Plus Coco is a cutie :o

Melody of Oblivion got my award for Best Example of Why Anime Sucks in 2004. Can't think of a more mediocre series. I laugh that it's been licensed.

Seconded. It was least impressive Gainax titles to date, outside of what JCStaff did in the way of color design at points. If it had been 12-13 episodes, but with the same stories, it might have been pretty good, because it wouldn't be a molasses-in-winter slow action show with no depth backing that up and making that slowness worth while and have a point. I'll gladly watch a slow if it's got a reason to take that tone. MoO had no reason to drag it out like that.

However, I knew it was gonna get licenced by Geneon or ADV, in as much as they've been pretty much buying anything Gainax and JCStaff make. Atleast that should mean someone will get the two shows that Gainax did last year that actually rocked (Re: Cutey Honey and Gunbuster 2. Atleast they still make interesting OVAs.)

And Geneon continues to tighten their grip on GAINAX properties.

Well, atleast it wasn't perfectly obvious that Geneon was gonna get it over ADV. MoO was a rare Gainax TV series in as much as most of their co-pro work in Japan has been Rondo Robe/Geneon Japan so, it could have been even more of a lock for Geneon USA (though some of Rondo Robe's output has been going to ADV, though only because ADV probably co-funded the show from the get go.)

Speaking of that though, it probably means that He Is My Master, Ichigo Mashimaro and Marimite are probably gonna be GeneonUSA titles someday, unless of course ADV gets them (in fact, I'd lean towards Marimite being an ADV title because Geneon probably would have moved on it already if it something they an interest in.) ADV will almost definitely get Erementrar Gerad, as they but the right to everything from the company that published the original manga, and IIRC, they mentioned something about getting co-pro rights as such for the anime as well. Noone else though has been doing business with Rondo Robe though.

So the Melody is finally coming out here in the US. Sounds good. Unfortunately, I was only able to keep up to it till episode 13. I'll definately look into getting this.
