Hare-Raising question

Why do the pre-48 clips in "His Hare Raising Tale" look better than any of the original or ''dubbed" prints we've been seeing?

The prints in that cartoon were maybe made from the negatives, or duplicates maybe?

I noticed that also. Maybe it's because these "dubbed" prints are remastered from Ted Turner's A.A.P. copies. I hope that Warners decides to strike new prints from their copies, or at least develop a new negative. If they can restore "Gone With The Wind" and "A Star Is Born", surely they can make better prints of LTs & MMs.

It breaks my heart to see those beautiful "Baseball Bugs" clips in "His Hare Raising Tale", then go back to the cartoon itself and have to look at those faded pinks and greys.
