We had our first snow over a month ago. It was really heavy stuff that broke a bunch of tree branches and knocked out power over for a few hours. It was completely gone by the next day. Crazy weather patterns! Since then, hardly anything.

Snow here too, although it happened overnight and didn't stick, wasn't cold enough. I had to go to school. However, here in for worth we're supposed to get a sleet storm tonight and it will be in the 20's...so the water that'as there will refreeze...let's see Oakridge High School make us come for THAT one....
-Matthew-g-g-g-gosh it's cold-Hunter

I hope we, in Fannin County, Georgia, will have final exams snowed out like last year.

Anyone know some good silver halide crystal makers?

We don't have a first snow in Southern CA, but there has been ice on the top of my car the last 2 mornings before school! That's pretty incredible here!!! ;)

Here in Kansas City, it's kinda cold...in the 30's and 40's, but no snow yet. There's been snow in other parts of the state, but it missed us! It's supposed to be a pretty good winter overall, I hear.

Man...here in That Mysterious Land known as Delaware we almost never get snow. It's been 70 degrees here, and it's NEARLY DECEMBER! WHAT GIVES?! (grumbles about Indian summers)

...the only snowfall worthwhile in recent times was the Blizard of '96. Otherwise the snow's barely there or not at all.

Here we're expecting severe weather later today.

My sister-in-law's eloquent (and slightly edited) take on the weather last night: "[Frig] a monkey's [butt], it's cold out there!"
No snow out my way yet, but temperatures are in the mid-forties and they're's talk of white stuff by the end of the week. There was some snowfall two days ago, but because it passed through a bank of warm air between the upper atmosphere and the ground, it melted and came down as rain.
For my money the coldest snow in recent memory was January 1994. It was so cold the flashers were just showing Polaroids. The highway department had to come out and throw around brickdust on the icy roads to prevent crackups....

I thought I'd resurrect this thread because we here in Mass. are getting a whole lot of snow right now! I went to the mall and when I left I saw all of this white stuff falling out of the sky! It was pretty cool because I didn't expect it at all. I was kind of depressed before but the snow cheered me up a lot. Anyways, weather.com says that we could have up to 4 inches tonight and could get another inch tomorrow since there's a possiblity of snow showers. Woo hoo!
